Simple spaghetti and meatballs were terrible. Poor sauce and meatballs, bad taste.

It was the first night that pizza was back on the menu. 12” pies had nice slightly charred and chewy crust. Our server Liam was excellent. Both he and Llew were helpful with suggestions for one in our party that has dietary restrictions.

Freezing cold upstairs! Food was not very good like we are used to! Garlic was burnt and the shrimp scampi was less than delectable! Pasta was not al dente it was undercooked! Very bad experience this visit!

A yearly stop on our way to or from FL, this third time was not up to the level of previous years. We went early to avoid any Concours crowd (5:45 reservation) and our server could not have been more attentive throughout the meal. But they were out of clams (my go to favorite pasta dish) so I had the Carbonara instead (as did another in our party of four), which I thought was good and not saucy. Another in our foursome had the short rib special and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our four had the Bolognese and she was not impressed. We decided to skip dessert.

Very disappointed. Atmosphere is nice. Service was excellent. Food was terrible. Meatballs appetizer was barely warm and I would guess the meatballs are your typical frozen food service meatballs. Arancini was okay. Veal picatta was inedible. The presentation itself was unappetizing. 2 slabs of gray meat on top of pasta. The veal was tough and unflavorful with a hint of bad flavor. The pasta has a nice flavor, as long as it had not touched the veal. The carbonara was just okay, but not a true carbonara. The salmon that was ordered with the carbonara was cooked nicely. Would not go back, and wish we had not wasted one of our dinners on Amelia Island here.

Brittany was our unbelievably gracious and competent server. A highlight of the evening. Quality of our food was excellent, BUT - everybody in our party of four said the food was oversalted. Maybe just a lighter hand with the salt would make it perfect.

Service was very good almost excellent. Unfortunately dining at Cucina, at least at our location, was a noisy experience. You call it energetic; we called it unpleasant. The art work is uninspired. The food was acceptable; the calamari, Ceasar and calabrese salads good. The veal piccata missed something although the veal was tender. Would I go back. Yes, but I would ask for the most quiet location.

Excellent food and service. Great papperdelle and the ravioli app was fantastic. Went for my wife's birthday and it didn't disappoint. Could use a little brightening on the decor but still a quaint little dining spot with authentic Italian fare.

Cucina South has had a nice upgrade with its new management, service and food! Highly recommend going. Second time there in 3 weeks and it's great! Enjoy the great Italian food and atmosphere!

We were warmly greeted and well taken care of the time that we were at Cucina South. Our server (Ava sp? Sorry) was top notch. She was friendly and efficient without being intrusive. Best service we have had in a long time. Appetizer and salads came out quickly, but entrees took awhile. The pasta was very good, but my plate, the special of swordfish and shrimp, was mixed. The shrimp were good, as was the polenta it was served with, however, the swordfish was just ok. It was dry, even with the sauce. We will return, but I will have the pasta next visit, and of course ask for Ava!

The food itself was 1) one dimensional, 2) over-salted, and 3) frankly unmemorable. I had the Mahi special. The fish was flavorless and dry. The Brussel sprouts were over salted and the rosemary potatoes lacked flavor. Very. disappointing. My son had the veal parm. He could not distinguish what was veal and what was breading. My husband had the veal piccata. He said it reminded him of the food we order from our local pizzeria back home in New Jersey. Okay but not great. The local pizzeria does not represent itself as a fine dining restaurant so you'll accept the mediocrity. I expected better from this place. We've dined here before and I remember it being a lot better. I understand they have new management, but it seems like quality is taking a step in the wrong direction. The only positive was our server Ava. She was attentive and very pleasant. There are better options on the island than this place. Sorry we didn't choose one of them.

We were there celebrating my sister's Birthday. Three of us had the special, Mahi & shrimp, asparagus and garlic potatoes. Mahi was overcooked and extremely salty, thought I would just scrape the top off, but nope the saltiness was all the way through. The asparagus was also overcooked, should be bright green instead of floppy, and garlic mashed potatoes seemed runny. The shrimp was the only thing that was decent. Appetizers were good, but small portion of calamari. I love seafood at the beach but best to stick with pasta here! The guys had buffalo bolognese and liked it.
