today i was in your store and the sales lady was very rude. i was looking at a wallet and pulled the tag out to see price, i did not put the price tag back in the zippered part of wallet because it was getting stuck in zipper. the elderly sales lady came up behind me, rolled her eyes and made a loud noise with her mouth of disgust. i apologized, and i was highly considering buying the wallet, but after her display of disgust, i decided to leave the store. i was in amelia island last weekend and it was late in afternoon so the store was closed, i was looking foward to coming back this weekend to shop there. unfortunately because of her actions, not only did she lose the sale, but i will not return.

The sign and outside of the shop looks very cheap and tacky. The inside has nice designer stuff though and would be a very nice store. Unfortunately the elderly lady working the register was VERY rude and unprofessional to a customer for no reason, which caused me to immediately leave the store. This island is too cute and sweet to support people like that when every other store has the KINDEST people ever, and just as nice of things to buy from different designers. I don’t know if this elderly lady was the owner or just an employee, and hopefully it was just a fluke and the store doesn’t continue to lose patronage because of her.

Amazing place! Beautiful handbags and jewelry. The customer service is top tier, especially from Noreen, Dru, and Tori. They have wonderful seasonal handbags too!

To the attention of the owners of Debonair:I wanted to bring an incident that occurred in your shop on this day (February 4, 2022) @ 1215.I entered your store with the intention to purchase gifts for my relatives. As I was looking at the bags on display, I was speaking to my mother on the phone to get her opinion. At that moment the store clerk (elderly woman with short curly blond hair) standing behind the counter raised her voice angrily and told me to "turn down the phone because she doesn't need to hear my conversation". The conversation that I was having was in a foreign language and she was bothered by it. Not only was she completely unprofessional but above all, RACIST! The store was completely empty and she didn't even take the time to welcome a potential customer or offer her assistance but instead scold me.This is such poor representation of your pretty boutique that has such ugly customer service. Not only did you lose my business that day but I will pass this story along so that no one else faces this type of mistreatment and injustice in your store or at least they are to expect it from that individual (who didn't even provide me with her name) as long as she's employed with you.I hope that in good faith, you remedy this matter.

NO return policy ONLY exchangeAs a local resident I will never buy here again once my exchange is completedAlso the purse I tried to return was 30$ off at Dillard in Jax…I try to shop local and love it most of the time but this one is an exception> Gift card is not an accurate term as you‘re not „gifting“ me anything. FYI The price in Jax for the purse is 30$ under your discounted price.

Debonair is a store in Amelia Island Historic District that specializes in stylish women's accessories including jewelry, hair clips, handbags, scarves and more. Some of my favorite items are Accent ceramic trivet, ceramic coaster, and kitchen and hand towel sets, Le Cadeaux spoon rest and matching tea towel, Jen Co handbags, sea turtle figurines, and Holly Yashi jewelry.
