Ashley helped us through a most difficult decision for our Maine Coon cat, "Jack". She and her staff are just the best. We are so thankful that people like her devote their careers to veterinary medicine and to helping pet owners with the most difficult end of life choices. We can not thank them enough.

Great Vet and service. Our 11 year old cat was not hisself for a few days. I thought it was a stuck hairball and was quite concerned. I called several vets to see if he could be seen the next day on emergency basis. This was a Thursday. CC of Fernandina checked with Doctor to see if the could squeeze me in between appointments, luckily YES , on Friday. That saw Max, did X-rays and found there was a hairball in the intestines. Gave fluids and anti-nausea shot. Sent us home with anti-nausea pills and instructions to get him to eat. Following Monday, he was doing better, but still not the same. They called to check on him and offered to see him that day. I deferred and they made time for him on Wednesday. They squeezed him in again and things were looking better, but doctor suggested I make an appointment in Jacksonville for 3D imaging if necessary and not pay emergency fee if required. Fortunately I got to cancel JAX appointment as Max is back to himself. CCF gave instructions on helping prevent hairballs. Very caring Doctor and staff!!!

The Cat Clinic fit me in on a Monday as a new patient for an eye emergency. The staff were knowledgeable, kind and communicative. Dr. Ashley D. Mersereau is at the top of her game. What a wonderful, highly skilled, and compassionate doctor. Thank you!

We moved here from California and the long haul put a lot of stress on my 11 year old cat who ended up with a complete urinary tract blockage. The Cat Clinic was the only vet in town that would fit us into their schedule that day which was a Friday. If I had waited any longer my cat would probably not be here today. The cat clinic is not open on the weekends but Dr. Ashley kept my cat over the weekend and being the caring person that she is she personally took care of my cat over the weekend and called me several times a day to let me know how he was doing. Dr. Ashley is the most caring and best veterinarian we have ever worked with and her staff is so friendly and helpful. This is a cat clinic and there are no other animals there to stress your cat out at visits. If you are looking for a veterinarian for your cat, I highly recommend Dr. Ashley Mersereau at the Cat Clinic of Fernandina. Expert vet, friendly staff, and very clean clinic.

Nobody better anywhere! Wonderful with old kitties and babies. The technicians are fabulous. No dogs on premises to scare anyone. Love this place.

Sadly, we did not have a good experience with this place. Not enough was done to determine the root of our beloved kitty's problem.

I'll start with that which was positive: I was able to get an appointment quickly. When I brought my cat they weighed her, took her temperature, looked at her and told me that she needed to be hospitalized. When they found out that I couldn't afford a large veterinary bill they immediately told me to go to First Coast No More Homeless Pets. For that I had to pay them $56. Ultimately, my cat died. They had asked to be informed about the outcome. I emailed them the fact that Steph had died. Still, no response. It seems like the only thing they care about at Cat Clinic is making sure that you have enough money to pay their exorbitant bills.
