Soo good, authentic Mexican food. The carnitas are to die for and the green sauce with it is the best

Had their Friday only Mojarra Frits ( whole fried fish). It came with a simple salad, rice, and steamed corn tortillas. Add some of their hot sauce and you have yourself a meal. Loved it. Reminds me of the meals I grew up with in San Antonio. Yummy there tamales, tacos, everything is delicious.

We had a nice dinner and had fun looking at all the items in the store, lots of imported candy, chips, bread and grocery items. We had the chicken nachos and the tres leche cake for dessert. Everything was very good and service was excellent. We weren’t real sure when we walked in because it look like a converted grocery store with restaurant seating on the front side and groceries in the back half. The service was quick and friendly. It’s not fancy but good food, fun shopping and friendly people (Lula and Javi).Kid-friendliness: Fun to look at all the items in the store, lots of imported candy, chips, bread and grocery items.

They have outstanding tacos, tamales, and rice and beans. Great, authentic flavor. There is no other Mexican restaurant in the area that comes close to them. I'm always on the lookout for a good Mexican restaurant and am usually disappointed by the bland fare that many restaurants serve. This is not a place to go if you're looking for ambience, but definitely go if you want authentic Mexican food.

We've been here twice now and have decided it's our go-to spot for Mexican (or Honduran). Every time the food has been amazing--flavorful and fresh and homemade-tasting. Eaten lots of tacos, gorditas, enchiladas... The whole vibe is authentic street food, so keep your expectations down on ambience, drinks, or availability (they seem to sell out of certain favorites early) but the food is the best!!

We ordered to go yesterday. It was Wednesday so we had the enchiladas and the steak fajitas, both for the first time. Excellent. The rice is a bit bland for our taste but we put their fantastic green salsa on it and wow, what a difference. We usually order tacos so these dishes were a nice surprise. Also got the asada tacos, with avocado. What a bargain for 4 bucks each. We have been coming here since they were down the street in the little store and will keep coming back.

Visited La Sureña for the first time based on a local friend's referral and found a great neighborhood spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. On the day I stopped by for lunch I had the Chicken Flautas (Mex style) special. It looked great and tasted even better. The range of textures and flavors were distinct and amazing for a seemingly simple dish. I look forward to visiting soon and trying more menu items.

ordered lunch for pick-up on monday afternoon. * 2 burritos - 1 pollo, 1 cabeza * 2 taco salad - 1 pollo, 1 carne asada * chips & guac total came out to $56 before tip. i'm from cali where the burritos are wrapped in foil. their burritos are wet burritos covered in a creamy chipotle (?) sauce. i had the cabeza burrito, 4/5. sauce was good, but didn't love it. stephy steph had the pollo taco salad. she said it was salty. maybe the chicken was salty, but i think it was the dressing. 3/5. chips & guac. it's expensive for how much guac you get. chips were good though. 3/5. would come back. you should check it out too!

I came to this place as it was the only Mexican restaurant in town. I had the chicken crispy tacos & let me tell.... wow, they were crispy, hot, just made, fresh vegetables on top, salsas were also on point, will recommend the red one. Have to say that this restaurant offers authentic Mexican food!!! Muy buen trabajo!!!

First off. Everyone here was friendly. They let me try my Spanish without correcting my tenses. The place is very clean. The food smells amazing. We had Steak Nachos, carnitas Sopa & Gorditas. Simply delicious. Take it from a man that has been to every country in Central & South America. This place is as authentic as anywhere I've eaten out of country. We highly recommend this place. Make sure you get the piping hot Churros for dessert, you won't regret it!

This place is one of Amelia Island hidden Jewels. Always consistent food and Fast Service. My wife and I eat here at least once a week because it is great, authentic Mexican and Honduran cuisine and affordable.
