Location is 100% worth it, but the rooms are not upkept well. Moved from one room for no TV working, then the 2nd room had issues with AC and a shotty back door.

I checked in late after a Long travel day. I was checked into a dirty room--garbage, bed slept in. Disgusting. Although they found a smaller room for me that night, I still had to move my things into my proper class room the next day. The front desk offered no more than the price difference for the first night as a credit. When you book 3 nights in a hotel, it is standard to stay in the same room, but not here! Worse, by checkout, they had not even credited that paltry reduction on my invoice. Wifi sucks too. Stay elsewhere.

Was told by the desk clerk that our room could be paid by doing half on my card and half on my friends card. My friend was charged correctly but my card was charged for the entire amount. The difference is being refunded but it takes 5 days before being credited which means I am out $164 for this trip I could be spending. There were water stains on the bathroom counter, hair in the bathtub, and the mattress on the pull out couch is a joke. Parking is limited, the pool is very tiny, and we were not told about the free buffet breakfast at check in. We could also hear our neighbors conversations very well through the paper thin walls.

Cute place, a bit light on the parking but live the sound of the ocean.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Seaside Amelia Hotel, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The hotel boasts an excellent location, right on the water, offering serene views and a tranquil atmosphere. One of the highlights of this hotel is its proximity to local attractions and activities. Everything you might want to do is just a stone’s throw away, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. The breakfast served at the hotel was another pleasant surprise. A good range of options, all fresh and tasty, provided the perfect start to our days. It’s always great to have a hearty breakfast before setting out for a day of adventure. In terms of cleanliness, the Seaside Amelia Hotel met all expectations. The rooms, though showing a bit of wear and tear, were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The carpets and hallways, although slightly weathered, added to the charm of the place and did not detract from the overall cleanliness. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the staff. Each member of the team was friendly, approachable, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their warmth and hospitality greatly enhanced our experience. In conclusion, the Seaside Amelia Hotel is a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and conveniently located place to stay. While the rooms and common areas might show a little age, the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff more than make up for it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to returning in the future!

Don’t fall for the “oceanfront suite”. This is a joke. I am overlooking a restaurant roof and into the room of the hotel next door. No privacy. I seriously doubt the bed is a queen and there isn’t enough room for 2 people in the “suite”. It’s worn and in need of updating. No balcony and can’t open the windows to hear the surf, which is why most people would pay extra for an oceanfront room. So disappointed!

The desk clerk was very helpful at check-in. Our room was clean and had a nice view of the ocean. The breakfast was good. We ate dinner at the restaurant behind the inn and there were other nice restaurants within walking distance.

Last week, I spent 3 mights at Seaside Amelia Inn. The hotel is lovely, the room was clean and spacious, the location outstanding, and the staff friendly. They say they are across the street from the beach, but in fact, there's no street to cross. It's behind a restaurant located directly on the beach. The breakfast is a huge plus. The night front desk clerk, Carlotta, is very personable and professional. She was very helpful to me and to any other guest I saw her interacting with. Overall. all the staff is great. I would definitely stay there again!

We recently stayed for 3 nights. We booked the room online before reading the reviews and were concerned about some of the negative reviews. We couldn't be more pleased with our stay! The room on the 2nd floor was very clean and cozy. There is a small wardrobe in the bedroom to hang clothes. I slept on the sofa bed in the suite and it was surprisingly comfortable. The free breakfast was also another pleasant surprise. Waffles were great and my wife and are were both born and raised in the south and those were the best grits we've ever had. We asked the cook how she made them and she said they were real grits, not instant, and she cooked them with salt and butter long enough for the grain to be soft. Wow! The hotel is in a great location with the Sandbar adjacent to it, right on the beach. Downtown Fernandina is a straight shot less than 2 miles. We've stayed at many of the other hotels here over the years and this is by far the best value for the money. We'll be back.

Room was good, not great. The highlights was a partial view of the beach and ocean and a narrow balcony. You needed to be first in line to score some food at breakfast.
