Such a cozy & charming bookstore downtown! My boyfriend and I stopped by after visiting the farmer’s market on Saturday. He was able to find the full “Dune” collection at a great price. I enjoyed looking through the many field guides that they carry on the area, eventually landing on “Florida’s Living Beaches.” If you’re looking for the perfect vacation book, this is your place!

Such a beautiful book store. They have mostly modern literature including an amazing children’s section which is great but they have a really cute upstairs section that has older titles for half off. All of the employees were so sweet and so welcoming. Definitely worth stopping by and picking up a few great beach reads!

A very nice popular selection bookstore in a lovely walkable tourism-oriented neighborhood! The setup for your walkable book-browsing experience was wonderful. They had several new books and some "classic" books that were on my wishlist. (They also have a decent classics section. By "classic" I mean books that are not new, but are often sought modernly, like the first book in the Bosch series by Connolly.) Perhaps owing to the tourism orientation, I felt comfortable making a recommendation to another customer and I had a wonderful conversation with the young lady running the checkout counter about books I'd picked up as well as others we would recommend to each other. It's a book lover's paradise.

Always a pleasure to shop here! Unless on a sale, all the books are priced the same as what you see on the back of the book, all new. They have a wide selection for you to pick from and are happy to order a book for you if they don't have it there themselves. Every employee I've interacted with has been very knowledgeable, and very kind.

Cutest little book store right in the heart of downtown. Our little ones love going and reading in the great kids section. We always stop in when we're in the area.

This bookstore looks small from outside, but that is deceiving. A few children’s books outside grabbed my children’s attention, so we had to explore inside. I was pleasantly surprised to find a wonderfully decorated children’s section that even had small chairs for kids to sit and look at books. My 5 year old felt immediately comfortable, pulled out a chair, and began reading. They have a great section of popular titles-including lots of graphic novels, which is super important to my kiddos. I was able to grab a book to read at the beach for myself. We explored the loft area upstairs very briefly because a commercial for a book festival or fair was being filmed. No one asked us to leave, but it didn’t feel like we should be up there. The ladies who were working at the cash register were very friendly and listened to my 5 year old talk all about his toy crocodile. We will be sure to stop here during our next trip.

came here on a visit, and i would definitely come again.a very nice selection of books, a beautiful set up (with even more upstairs) and over all a calming bookstore! this place has got to be one of my favorites, i would recommend to anyone who lives in or is visiting Fernandina Beach to visit The Book Loft! :)

This was a cute little bookstore. They didn’t have the greatest selection I’ve ever seen, but we still enjoyed our stop here. I would visit this store again.
