I avoid this Pharmacy. I switched to Publix. Where there usually is no line, they are friendly, the pharmacist will actually talk to you. I know it’s a hard job, but Walgreens needs to get it together. Often their phone system doesn’t work and you can’t leave a message. They often don’t return your messages.
Also,I needed a prescription for a drug that I’ve been using for years but it’s a schedule drug and it was from a new doctor through telehealth and Walgreens wouldn’t fill the prescription because the doctor was more than 30 miles away from their location! But Publix didn’t have any problem filling the prescription. They simply called my doctor to verify it all good but for Walgreens they couldn’t be bothered. I don’t know why people still go there some of the staff and some aren’t so great.

The staff here are always friendly to me, even when they have been berated by the customers before me! The general public has no understanding of how hard pharmacists and pharmacy techs work. Just like the rest of health care - they are understaffed and deal with huge volumes of patients!
Lindsey has been my pharmacist for years. She is kind, knowledgeable, and goes out of her way to make sure patients have what they need!

Great place. Very helpful in the pharmacy. The staff is great all around.

One staff member will tell you one thing and another will tell you something completely different. Cam is not well informed but Lindsey is. After 3 days of waiting for an RX u will then have to go through the drive through twice for your RX to be ready. You will also receive and pay for a generic that does not work. You cannot get a straight answer or reasonable customer service. Good luck all!!!

Horrible pharmacy service: the WORST Walgreens location for DriveThru or In-Store pick up. Wait time is consistently over 30 minutes in line: not enough employees- they rotate from drive thru window to inside counter instead of having one person for each counter. Calling ahead??? They say it's ready and it's not! Gave multiple chances. We are DONE! Sad.

On the phone 1hr and 11mins and then they hung up on me! What kind of a pharmacy is this? I'm glad I've changed pharmacies!!!!!

This place doesn't belong on Amelia Island! It's mostly empty. A waste of space. Not clean. No one around to help you. They really should close this store. I went there for some face cream - the shelves were empty. Mostly sun tan lotions.

Awful service! And always a long line with a huge wait. I just switched to CVS which has much better service.

What a lousy job they do here. First prescription I've had filled here. Called to see if it was ready and the call rang thru to the pharmacy, They answered it, not saying a word, and slapped it on call park. After 2 minutes it rings back to them, and they did the same thing. 4 times. Answer the damn phone and do your job. Not gonna ever be your customer. First AND Last time

Go elsewhere. Scrips are NEVER ready when promised. Always short staffed, always a line at the pharmacy. Checking in the app is pointless- if you simply wait to see a scrip filled in there you'll die first from whatever condition you need your medication for.

On hold for 45 min after never receiving update on my prescription. Everyone there says they're new and no one knows anything. Worst customer service. Not enough help

Zero stars is most appropriate. It likely isn’t onsite staffs fault and I am never rude to them. Their automated system is awful. I have been on hold twice today trying to do an auto refill that, after auto prompts requires me to speak with someone on site - and yes, I still have 2 auto refills left per the prescription. It was 10 minutes on hold on the first call with 2 callers ahead of me throughout. On the second attempt, one hour later, same result. Though after 16 minutes I am down to one call. Not sure if that is because another caller gave up before me this time. There is always a long line when picking up in person. Never an issue at Walmart, Publix, Harris Teeter, Waas or others. Why is it only an issue here? My guess is the volume of business that is required by various plans and contracts to go to Walgreens is too high for that location to physically manage. They can only cram so many people to work back there. I will check with my plan today to find another option. Take your business elsewhere if that is an option. If not, consider mail order. Otherwise, you have my sympathy. But don’t take your frustration out on the people that work there.

After waiting in line at the pickup window for over 30 minutes, we were told at the window that one drug still needed printing and the other needed to be reviewed by the pharmacist. I had called prior to asking my neighbor to take me to the Fernandina Beach Walgreens and was told that both prescriptions would be ready by 5pm. It was 5:40pm when we got to the window. We explained the situation and asked the employee to check with the pharmacist. The pharmacy manager, Leonara, came to the window and tersely told us that the muscle relaxer was ready, but I was not receiving the oxycodone because I already had pain pills that had recently been picked up. I explained that the ED doctor had ordered the oxycodone (only enough for the weekend) because she did not want me doubling up on hydrocodone (which I told her I had). The doctor was trying to avoid more tests on the weekend or having to admit me to the hospital to control pain. Leonara only reacted uglier, with an attitude of judgement. She said that they "might" release the drug when my other prescription expired. Here's what she didn't know: I take 7 methotrexate pills (a chemotherapy drug) every week, 5 mg of prednisone every day, and a Humira injection every other week. My portion of the cost of these drugs for 2023 has been over $4,000 (through the end of March). Obviously, neither she nor the pharmacist looked to see why I might need pain pills. Perhaps they didn't even care. I have EORA (Elderly-Onset Rheumatoid Arthritis) that my rheumatologist has been trying to control for months. I have joint damage in my spine, wrist, knees, etc. My son is a doctor. He trained for over 10 years, and when he prescribes a medication, he is aware of all the medical issues the patient has. Apparently, some pharmacists believe that they know more - without even reviewing the medications a customer is taking. Furthermore, the disrespect and insult given to us at the window added mental pain to my already overwhelming physical pain. These people should not be working in any pharmacy. One day, either them or someone they love will be sick and in pain. I hope they find more caring and understanding than they have given. As for me, I am moving all of my prescriptions to CVS. I hope there is more love there.

Very very slow! Currently standing in a line of 9 people at the pharmacy and they have one person working the register.

Very very very slow. I have been in the drive thru for 45 minutes with only 2 cars in front of me. Many people behind me left. Maybe they went inside. I haven't had success inside either. They are understaffed and don't care. Car in front of me tied to complain . Very sad. Mail order pharmacy. May be better option. Or CVS
