Hours: Beachside Laundromat is a clean, safe place to do laundry, located in a great safe area right across from the police station. The space is well ventilated, roomy, and not crowded, with a good sitting area and an attendant present. However, there is definitely room for improvement. Dryers do not work well and eat quarters without offering much in return. Some machines may not shut properly or give back quarters, and out of order signs are not always used. The bathroom was funky with unfriendly signs, and vending machines were slightly decrepit. While the attendant has come to the rescue when struggling with a machine, the owner has handled a situation with rudeness and an unprofessional action, including hanging up on a customer locked inside after hours. A large load of laundry costs about $12.00, and dryers can dry a large load at 29 minutes. The place is maintained and easy to find, with friendly locals. Customers recommend bringing own disinfectant wipes and own snacks. Overall, it is a plain ole laundromat, calming in a weird sort of way, but customer service and machine reliability need attention.
