Hoosville Hostel offers a unique and laid-back hostel experience. The property is noted for its magical and beautiful back courtyard, featuring a natural well water waterfall, a large shady ficus tree with a climbing net and tree fort, free-roaming rabbits, cute cats, and lights wrapped around tree trunks. Amenities include laser tag, a pool, outdoor showers, and several grills for guest use. The hostel caters mostly to groups, parties, and foreign nationals, providing a social atmosphere where guests can meet people from around the world. Rooms include dormitory-style bunk beds and private family rooms, such as the Library room. Reviews mention clean sheets and bathrooms, with some noting very thin mattresses and basic furnishings, describing some areas as a work in progress. The staff is consistently described as very kind, courteous, and going above and beyond for guest satisfaction and safety. The office has specific hours, but a doorbell is available for after-hours assistance. The property features 24-hour surveillance and is in a peaceful neighborhood, with a secluded feel across from a police substation. Its location is convenient, approximately 18 to 30 minutes from attractions like Biscayne National Park, the Everglades, snorkeling in Key Largo, and cliff diving at Blue Lagoon Farm. It is near a bus station and within a short walk of several restaurants, convenience stores, parks, and coffee shops. While the rooms are basic, the exceptional outdoor space and attentive staff create a memorable stay that many guests wish to repeat.

Typical hostel issues of occasional noise and light, but you've gotta expect that given the shared rooms, bring ear and eye gear just like you're sleeping on a plane. Otherwise good price and easy check in.
