Please DO NOT make the same mistake our family made and use this company! We write this review to express how utter disappointed after assessing all of the damage to our house and property after our recent move. For example, we had walls and furniture that were damaged or completely destroyed in the move, nearly ½ of the boxes had something broken in the box despite the items being bubble wrapped, the movers were late and short-staffed moving our furniture out and into our new house and now after finally going to through all of the boxes, boxes are missing! It was not what we expected at all for the price we paid for the service and the company’s affiliation with a national company like Mayflower. We specifically chose a company with a national affiliation since we thought we were get better service and care of our property but we could not have been more wrong. I truly believe that we should have used a family owned company that would have treated our precious memories that cannot be valued or replaced like our children's pottery (that were broken into pieces), my mother's dishes broken (all of which were in bubble wrap), and a myriad of other items broken, scratched, and not treated with dignity and respect. We have asked the moving company to please look for our missing boxes and return them to us as soon as possible. The moving company denied losing the boxes and denied destroying our property. THEY WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING LOST, BROKEN, OR MISSING even if you pay extra like we did to have your electronics packed by the movers. For example, we paid for the movers to pack a $3,000 TV in an extra large TV carton that we bought from the moving company and in instead the movers packed the TV in 2 pieces of cardboard with tape around it which exposed the edges of the TV. The edge of the TV was crushed and despite the fact we paid extra for the TV carton and that they incorrectly packed the TV, the company offered to paid $27.00 for a $3,000 television that would not have been destroyed had they packed it in the box we paid extra for. As for delays, our move back into our new home was delayed by a week and then the moving coordinator, Marlo Villa, (which was nearly impossible to reach by text or phone on the move in date) tried to delay the move-in date after it had already been delayed a week to obtain more storage fees. The movers brought the wrong sized truck when initially moving out of our old house which caused a delay. Of note, we were charged for 1 truck with 5 movers for 20 hours and there were only 2-4 movers assigned depending on the day of the move. Then we were then overcharged for an additional month of storage which had to be disputed with our credit card company and the amount was refunded to us since it was not in compliance with our contract. All in all, it was one of the WORST experiences my family and I have had with a company that we believed would do excellent job and where we were willing to pay more for the service than the other companies we contacted and obtained estimates for our move.

Delivered some merchandiser cooler here for one of my customers, the staff and guys unloading the truck we're all nice and professional. The owner of the place came out and spoke with me and he seemed like a great guy. I wouldn't advise overnight shutdown, but there are areas on the side of the road a couple trucks could sit. Overall a great experience as far as making a delivery to this business.

Very satisfied with this company from receiving a quote, to move out day, to coordination of move-in. Brendan and Penni were both so patient with me and kept in touch constantly. The movers in Florida were very respectful and efficient. All things considered, pricing was very reasonable for my cross country move. Can't recommend enough!

Having sold our condo in the Boca Raton area we needed to move the contents to our primary home in Michigan. After meeting with several other moving companies we elected to use A1A Atlantic. We are very happy we did! Everyone, from the local representative (Elliot Becker) to the move co-ordination (Penni) to the Michigan representatives who delivered our boxes and furniture were knowledgeable, personable and responsive. The local company that delivered our things took care not to bump any walls in our home and made sure that they placed the boxes in the appropriate areas to make our unpacking much easier for us. We would highly recommend A1A Atlantic to anyone looking to move. I would also add that their price was extremely reasonable in comparison to the other proposals we received from other companies.

I advise you to find any other company if you can to do your move. While everyone's experience is different, the lack of accountability and transparency is astounding. Do not use A1A (Mayflower affiliate). Here's why:A few days before my scheduled move, I spoke to one of the 2 reps I had been working with who offered this information up - I was advised that with the inventory I submitted, my belongings would take up one container and only a fraction of a 2nd one. The rep even offered this tip - if I had extra items, because of this space, I might be able to add them to the move, but it would be strictly up to the movers if they wanted to pack it; I was not advised of any additional cost because it was only two containers total, which I already have paid in full. When the movers arrived, the main staffer, said he would walk around and do his own inventory before starting to pack, which I understood; he did say that we'll be able to get everything into the truck (again not mentioning any new costs). I mentioned to him that I was told about the extra space and had a couple of items that were minimal and not on the list. I said if I couldn't add any extra items, I would have no issue putting it in my personal vehicle, so that it would not impact the space provided my belongings. He said he would be able to fit it all with no problem (again, no mention of additional cost). As the movers started to pack, I noticed they were grabbing the boxes first instead of the larger items (I had boxes in small, medium, and large size and one rectangular tree box). While I'm not a professional, I asked if they should be taking down the larger items first and then the boxes to make sure all the items fit, but again I was told it would be fine. Near the end, two movers made several comments about a couple large pieces that had yet to be packed, that they weren't sure were going to fit. One commented on how they would fit, but that they would have to take everything out and re-pack, which they clearly did not want to do.At one point near the end, I went downstairs to talk to the main staffer, and was able to view inside the truck. The truck loaded from the back, and the "containers", looked to be long ways, only taking up the left side of the truck, with the right side open so that they could move around. I saw that one container was packed, and the 2nd was almost empty, with a few of my items outside of the container. I assumed they were working on making it all fit, and did not think it would be an issue. I was not made aware that all of my items didn't fit in the two containers until everything was packed and the truck closed, when the staffer came upstairs with the paperwork. He did not mention any costs, but said that a total of 5 items did not fit and I could talk to my reps to see if this was an issue - again, no mention of any additional price. When I spoke to the rep, they advised the mover said there were 3 items that would not fit, conflicting with the number mover told me. They advised there would now be an additional cost of the $500+ dollars, and this is when I reiterated the conversation I had when I was advised that I only needed a container and a small portion of a second one. This rep said an invoice would be sent regardless and that I could take it up with the company after my belongings arrived. When my belongings arrived, I immediately noticed that their truck was side-loading, and when they opened the doors, the containers appeared smaller, as if my items were repacked in different size containers. The items packed outside of the containers were bundled together in the middle of the truck, not taking up much space at all, and this appeared to be a smaller size truck than the one that picked up my items in Florida.I was misled in what space I needed for my items, and due to improper loading discrepancies, my items were allegedly not able to fit into the two containers I paid for. Finally, a larger concern was the behavior of the main mover. I was hesitant to say anything during our

I hired A1A Atlantic (Mayflower affiliate), after interviewing 3 companies, to handle my move from Florida to North Carolina. The gentleman that came to my home to quote (Elliot, claims he was previous owner) assured me that they employed all packers / movers and that they had very few insurance claims due to their professionalism. My home was a full day pack and a full day load. I paid for my belongings to be held in their storage facility for 2 months while my home was being renovated in NC. I also paid for a full unpack when my belongings were delivered in NC. Two days prior to my belongings being picked up from storage, I was contacted and told that the unpack in NC could not be completed until 2 weeks after the delivery, so I canceled the unpack and received a credit. When the delivery took place, numerous items were damaged. Several pieces of furniture had experienced water damage while in storage, including upholstered and wood pieces, that ruined the finish and separated the wood. A sideboard had broken glass panels because it was not wrapped properly, and my dining room table had scratches all around the edge of the table top. I immediately reported and photo documented all damage. Initially, A1A was helpful to instruct me on the claim. Once the claim was submitted, only 3 of the 11 pieces received repair or compensation. A1A Elliot and the owner were of NO HELP, and just wanted to pass the buck to Mayflower Insurance Department. I have called Mayflower to discuss my claim. I have left 3 VM's, have sent 3 emails and have requested to speak with supervisors but have not received a single returned call or email. Ignoring the situation will not make it go away, but will only make matters worse. Based on this frustrating experience, I cannot recommend A1A Moving and Storage or Mayflower Movers. IF necessary, I will take legal action against all parties with whom I have contracted.

I WOULD MOVE WITH THEM AGAIN! We hired A-1-A Atlantic Moving & Storage company back in January 2022 to move us yet with storage and 3 trips! They picked up the 1st load when we put the majority of our items into storage, we used their under AC facilities which we visited and was impressed! Then on 2nd trip they picked up the most valuable of our items which included fragile keepsakes from all over the world and they cradled each box with the upmost care where they kept in storage 4 months and the final trip was so well orchestrated on delivery that it went quickly taking our 3br, LV, FR, Kitchen, garage/patio, Arts&Craft, Clothing, office furniture, etc. from S. Florida to Central Florida. The movers are professional, smart and hard workers. Nothing gotten scratched or broken. Yes, we would hire them again.Key things: we packed our things, we labeled each box with numbers, did our own inventory and where they were to be placed them on final delivery and did our own post inventory against theirs. Thanks Penni y team!

Super unprofessional service. We moved from ******* to *****. The way they handled our furniture and personal belongings was awful. We brought it to their attention when they were packing at our home that they were not doing it right, and they assured us that they were going to pack it much better once they would move everything from their warehouse into the container. When things arrived in *****, the company in charge of unloading here in ***** sent us picture of all the furniture and boxes inside the container. Everything was loaded the same way it was packed at home. No extra packaging for high valued things like an outdoor sofa, that was left with exposed legs, and of course, one of them broke. A $4,500 dinning table, that was just wrapped in paper. No bubble wrap, no carton, nothing. When we tried reaching out to them, the representative (*********************) didn't even care to call us back. He replied saying that we needed to speak with his warehouse, but never cared to call us or address the problem. His warehouse was non-responsive either. We felt alone in this whole process and having to file an insurance claim. To this date, they haven't even emailed or called to follow up. Please do your research well, and hire a better company for your move.

That is absolutely untrue and incorrect. While at my house the packers wrapped everything in paper, no bubble wrap, no blankets and no cushioning of any type. We brought our concern to their attention and we were assured that prior to going into the container they would be wrapped appropriately at the warehouse. To our surprise, the items arrived in Spain exactly as they were wrapped at home. For what is worth, the local agency who handled the unloading of the container was so shocked by what they encounter when unloading the container, that they took pictures while unloading the container to let us know of the damaged they found, and informed us of the poor packaging that was done at origin, letting us know that they have never seen anything like it in an international move. Please don't insult us with your excuses for a job poorly done. To add insult to injury you never bother to follow up, despite of knowing what was going on when the other agency reached out to you sharing our concerns. For you to reply now that we are posting a bad review of your business, and try to save face is unacceptable.

Charade and his crew handled the final leg of my move from NJ to South Florida. They were prompt, professional and did an absolutely stellar job! Not one single item in my numerous boxes and pieces of furniture was damaged. The team deftly navigated the stairs to the 3rd floor apartment without a ding, dent or scuff to anything. Should I ever have the need for move again, A1A would be my first choice! Thanks for making one of life’s most frustrating processes easy and stress free!

We used this company to move our things to a storage in North Carolina. They arrived on time were extremely professional and kept their word at every turn. I would highly recommend this company as ours was not an easy move, big house to four storage units. You can trust them, can't say that very often in the moving business.

I am very grateful to A1A Atlantic Moving & Storage, because they helped me in every step of my move, and made things easier for me. They were on time, took really care of my furniture, and worked very hard to finish the move on time. I Truly recommend them when you need to move.

We were referred to A-1-A Atlantic Moving through Mayflower Moving Co and are very happy with the service that Tim and his crew gave us when they came to pack & our house. They were print, friendly, professional, and careful with all of our things. And the best part is that they were able to come to our house in just 2 days after we received a quote. All of the other moving companies needed two weeks.
