Another customer who arrived to be told vehicle booked was unavailable. Ended up with a wet half dirty inside mini van, as we needed to travel to Orlando there and then. Would not recommend.

We arrived at the time of our reservation and no one was there. We were left a sign that says, "Be Right Back" with a phone number. Called the number twice before getting an answer. Jack who left his number was very rude and gave me attitude when I told him I've been waiting 20 mins. He called me a liar and said he just left and was unaware of my reservation. He stated he is running between two locations and will be here to help us on 5-10 mins. He arrived 20 mins later. Now a total of 40 mins past our reservation he fonally decides to grace us with his presence. Terrible customer service for such a well known rental company. This location needs to be closed down!!!! We made the best of it and took pics behind the counter of this vacant place.

We have been standing in the Avis car rental line at Ft Lauderdale for over 40 minutes. There is a long line of people with all their families standing around waiting and ONE employee is helping people. But there are TWO guys standing at the Avis Preferred desk doing nothing. People have asked the guys to come help with the big line and they said they can’t. This is not a fun way to start our vacation. Update: been waiting 50 minutes and it’s finally our turn. ?

I had a confirmed reservation at their Ft Lauderdale location and when I arrived on time the office was closed. They decided not to open that day and their customer service rep essentially said too bad.

I love avis and use them for everything. However they really did me in. I ordered a van for a reason with 6 people and big luggage's. We can barely fit in the damn vehicle and had to drive 2 1/2 hours with it. Have to do the same on the way to Tampa airport which is 5 hours. Awful

Had a terrible experience. Awful service (and looking at the reviews I see I am not alone). Thank goodness I was able to record everything… my interactions with staff, the condition of the car (before and after returned), and all the terms and agreements. Thank goodness because I just had to dispute a charge (added two days ago) from the manager at this location on my card which is now 4 months after I rented a car here. Mind you, I’ve only rented a car once…. For one day. Thankfully after many calls the billing department was able to confirm that this charge was being added fraudulently. Be careful. Make sure you have proof. Or just take your business elsewhere in my opinion.

I don’t recommend this location. The individual working there was rude, the car was given to us with a completely empty tank. No flexibility on when we could drop back off. I would recommend using a different company in the area. There are plenty others to choose from.

Awful experience. I rented a car at the airport and the person at the counter added USD 500+ for services supposedly mandatory. After checking, I complained by mail and nobody answered, so I went to this place.I arrived at 17:40 and there was no one, although the door was wide open (I actually went inside). Many other customers came and left.A person showed up by 18:10 (although they closed at 18:00) and told me there was nothing to be done there.Basically, no assistance provided by Avis, not by mail nor in person...

I have given this location alot of business and got overcharged $770 due to an error and this guy named Jack who claims he's the manager is very rude and refuses to help fix the problem. When i try to call him on his cell which he posts on a permanent "Be Right Back " sign, he hung up and blocked my number. All he does is loves to argue. He also states the owner won't be back for a long time ago. Jack also gets angry if you exchange a car at another location such as the airport and says it effects his revenue. All the other reviews are true.

Great experience at this Avis location- Sagar was attentive and detailed during the rental process. Given the opportunity I would be back.
