These people suck. Waited 1/2 hour at FLL. 1 person to help 20 people in line. Fast break person was doing nothing and they did not put additional people on. Counter person was rude. Gave us a big Jeep. Tried to get a different car. Pain in the backside.

Trying to pick up a car at this location from the cruise ship terminal is not much different than being in a refugee caravan. Hours waiting in line. People with children crying from hunger and thirst because the line goes nowhere and theres no way to leave. Theres no need for more employees here this place needs FEMA.

Pick up at Ft Lauderdale hectic but staff pleasant and professional in approach to turning the cars round. The system allowed me to drop the car off at Miami International Airport at no extra charge which was great.Despite many cars in the return carpark, we were checked in with efficiency and courtesy.Final bill came in within minutes and accurate.Very pleased with this rental made through AutoEurope, which is excellent value for Brits as it usually includes ALL insurances.

Despite the bad reviews we saw online, we decided to take a chance on renting from the Port Everglades Budget due to the proximity to the port and the cost. I'm so glad we did. I worried that we would have trouble catching a shuttle but we had absolutely no wait at the port pickup and no issues at all despite it being a very busy port day. I worried that our reserved car would not be there (as I had read in reviews) but no worries. In fact, we got upgraded to an even better vehicle. The line at the counter was very long and I was disappointed that there was no FastBreak lane as I had been led to believe there was. It took about 45 mins to get our car but that put us right at our original reservation time so that was fine. The car we got had the wrong level of gas listed (1/8th tank vs full) and was not cleaned inside (food, crumbs, candy wrappers, etc.) but that was quickly corrected when we went back in. The car we got was not great on gas mileage so it cost us $30 in gas to get home, but was comfortable so we're OK with that. Return process in Winter Haven was a breeze - excellent customer service - could not have been easier. Overall, there are areas for improvement but it was a great way to get home from the port and we'd use their services again if sailing into FLL Everglades Cruise port.

Avoid this place - it is disgusting - the pick-up at the port terminals doesn‘t work - one shuttle per hour - there were more than 150 persons on premise - they had 2 open counters and almost no cars available. We gave up after 3 hours of waiting - cancellation was not accepted - so what‘s remaining is a prepaid rental contract, which isn‘t refunded, 2 Uber rides from the port to the station and from the station to Miami - no water, no vending machines - never ever again

Not a Fastbreak location as advertised. MISREPRESENTED.No A/C, water, vending machines nor chairs to endure a 2+ hour wait with a 3-mo old Confirmed Fastbreak reservation. Customers with no prior reservation were helped before those WITH reservations. 61 people were in line, I waited 1 hour 40 minutes just to get my name on a list of customers to be called to the counter. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD THIS DECADE.

Horrible! I am giving a star because I can't give it zero. Actually, 1 star is ok because they do have shuttle service from the port and the car that we received was in very good/clean condition. HOWEVER, the rental experience was a nightmare. We arrived to about 50 people waiting outside with suitcases. The line inside was about 50 people deep. About 15 mins per person. When my husband reached the front about an hour and fifteen minutes later, they took his name to be called for service. Total wait time? TWO hours. In line. With about 50 people. AND no A/C! Oh, and no Fastbreak! When we get in the car, the fuel gauge is at 1/2 a tank and our paperwork says full. Go back inside, try to get an agent's attention. Am told that the computer shows 1/2 full, but they can't change the paperwork or sign off as proof. So we shall see when we return the car. I have a feeling that they'll try to charge us for returning it 1/2 a tank. But that definitely won't fly me. Take time stamp photo of your fuel gauge.

I was gonna let my horrible experience go with budget when I rented from them.... I had to get three different rental cars in a span of 30 minutes, the first one I got the once I got over 45mph The car shook so bad I thought the tire fell off, so I drove it back to the rental place, they gave me another one, got no more than 2 miles away from them and a warning light came on stating I was in a car accident that I could not go over 35 miles an hour that I needed to pull over immediately, so I turned around and took that car back... I spoke with the manager they apologized, gave me a free upgrade and a free day.. I was going to leave it at that, I appreciated that they accommodated me for the inconvenience... Well 3 weeks later they changed me $90 saying I took the car back on empty and that they're charging me for gas and for a taxi shuttle service to the airport.. well, the rental place is in the airport. I took an elevator, I also filled up that damn car before I took it back because there's no way in heck I'm going to pay the inflated price they chat for gas.. I find it a little suspicious that they waited for almost 4 weeks to charge me for the gas that I supposedly didn't put in it.. I called them to see if they were willing to make this right, but they didn't all I got was if I can't prove I got gas then they won't refund me my $90.. unless I had a paper receipt stating I got gas there's nothing they were willing to do.. so I had to file fraudulent charges through my bank. I'm going to file a complaint with every organization I can to make sure people know what a POS this company is and the crap that they pull... I've rented cars twice a year for the last 15 years I normally go with Enterprise. they've never treated me like this, lesson learned, I guess... Unless you enjoy being scammed and ripped off, I wouldn't recommend using budget ever!! I really hope yelp starts adding negative stars soon because I'd give them a -5.. I'm just glad my uncles in attorney, I know it sounds petty over $90 but if they did this to me they did it to a lot of other people I plan on exposing them!!

When I rented a car from Budget, I requested a free pick-up from my residence (within 5-mile radius). I spent 40 minutes on the phone with the general line Customer Service to schedule the pick-up. They verified that the rental location does free pick-ups, accepted my request and said that I would receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. When in 24 hours no confirmation email arrived, I called the Customer Service again, and spent another 30 minutes explaining the situation, getting switched between answering machines and multiple people. Eventually, a representative put me on hold and then assured that my pick-up the next morning was confirmed.Of course, the next morning (on Saturday) nobody showed up to pick me up. The Customer Service line was unavailable on Saturday. I waited for 30 minutes and then had to call Uber to get to the rental location. I wasted an additional hour of my time. When I arrived at the rental location, the representatives there told me that they do not do pick-ups, and they were not even aware of my request. Apparently, it was my problem, so they did not even apologize. Conclusion: rent from Budget at your own risk and pray that you do not have any issues (like a flat tire), because it will be only your problem and you will be on your own. The Customer Service people are ignorant, unprofessional and disorganized. Bad company, poor service! Never again!

We thought the ft Lauderdale cruise shuttle location would be the correct place to pick up a car after our cruise. We and several others had to wait until renters leaving on a cruise dropped off their cars before we could pick them up. Once the cars started coming in, two hours after our reserved time, they tried to get them out too fast and another person misheard his cars description put his bags in our unlocked car. He was more frustrated than we were but we could feel his frustration. It didn't help that his car had rimless tires in the trunk and he had to find someone to help him get them out before he could load his bags. We also got a gas guzzling SUV instead of the economy car we reserved.

Actually had a great experience here. No lines. Nice car. Inexpensive. Easy to get to and from the airport under $10. Worth going outside airport. Staff nice too. No complaints!

Terrible terrible stay away. This place is the worst. They just left the counter with a line full of people and had one person working. Reficulous

Honestly, my experience here for the last few years had been pretty consistent. I’ve always received the best care from the associates at the Miami road location. Whenever a problem arises, they were able to assist me with a new car or otherwise. Just be aware that during the busy season you might have a wait but it would definitely benefit you by booking in advance. This way you’ll have a better chance of getting the car you want. I’ve always been treated with respect and have never been surprised with extra charges or issues unlike SIXT and Enterprise across the street.

Never again. We arrived to pick up our rental car At the Fort Lauderdale shuttle cruise port, only to find out there weren't any available and that would be 2 hours or more before any vehicles were returned. As I was talking to the counter agent a young father came up at his reservation time and inquired about the car he was renting, Only to be told it was rented out from underneath him. He of course protested rightfully so, and was told by the agent, "I am in the business of renting cars, it is 1st come 1st served, if you snooze you lose". If this is budget business model I would just assume walk a 100 miles dragging my luggage behind me. The agent then proceeded to tell us he had a 12 passenger Van that hadn't been rented in months, mind you there were 4 of us. Not wanting to wait in a small waiting area with no indoor restroom facilities and wanting to visit the Florida Everglades before the Florida heat became more intense than it already was, we opted for the van. He ran out back brought us a Van it turned out to be the 15 passenger Van when we opened the back there was no cargo space. My husband went back inside the agent took the keys to the 15 passenger Van ran out to get the other Van, in the meantime a very rude shuttledriver was yelling at me to move the an that was in the way I told him we had no way to move it because the agent had the keys he continued yelling at me. The 12 passenger Van was brought forward we hurried in the heat trying to get our bags packed in all the while the shuttle driver still yelling at us to get out of the agent didn't even offer to help us get our bags in. We barely had time to settle in to the Van before we were rushed out of the parking lot. It was horrible, I would leave a 0 star rating but unfortunately I have to Leave one in order to post the review.
