The Swap shop is owned by a billionaire family. You would think they could spend a little more effort on those horribly disgusting bathrooms. I'm surprised that the health department hasn't fined them. On the other hand there's always something to buy

This is the first time I have been to The Swap Shop in 9-10 years. I have been there more than once but it has truly been a while. So it seemed very different to me in it's current incarnation. At first I was truly disappointed. But it did not take long for that initial disappointment to wear off after finding two separate dealers in a sea of lotsa other stuff. Kinda like the silver lining in the cloud. Although I did not come here seeking anything other than roasted corn on the cob, I must confess that I spent all the money I brought with me, and even ended up using an ATM there. What can I say? The price of roasted corn has gone up something fierce! Wink! Wink! I did not spent a great deal of time here this time around, but I think I enjoyed it all the more as a result. In the past I had spent hours here when I came. This time around, I think I spent 2 hours maximum. It was kinda perfect. I got just enough of my treasure hunting vibe on to make me happy, and then I still had the time and strength to focus my energy elsewhere that same day. I think my story illustrates the exact appeal and charm of The Swap Shop. If you find vendors there who have what you want at prices you are willing to pay, and you want to do business with them, then that is all that matters. It does not matter that there are hundreds of other vendors surrounding them that you do not want to do business with at all. The power of positive thinking! I was sure to ask for the phone numbers of the two vendors I bought from this time as I understand the vendors are not always in the same spots and as a result, can be extremely difficult to find on return visits. The Swap Shop is so much more than the outdoor Swap Shop area. There are permanent indoor vendor booths/shops of various sizes, in addition to an arcade area, a large food section, florists, amusement rides for kids, and a large fenced off circle with race cars on display including the actual car used in Miami Vice, a 1986 Ferrari Testarossa. Plus restaurants! I think it is fair to say that there literally is something here for everyone, no matter who you may be!

We stopped here on the way to the Florida keys. This time it was raining I came here about 5 years ago with my parents and we found some really cool items. The cost for parking is usually 2 dollars per car but on days that the weather is bad or the attendance at the market is low the parking is free. This place has a drive in movie theater, museum, and a flea market. You can get your windows tinted, drink a beer, buy fresh fruit, find a deal on new or used items and catch a bite to eat. They also have carnival rides located on the outside of the market. I enjoy buying fresh fruits at the market and having fresh coconut water. If it is raining heavily getting from the parking lot to the indoor market is a bit unpleasant because the parking lot floods and there is standing water everywhere. The market is worth visiting it is definitely an experience you won't forget.

Who wants dirty tinted windows!? I came here because I was referred by a friend. I have a eye for quality I don't even know why I wasted my time. With a name like swap shop, I played myself all the way! Never again...Don't waste your time. The level of quality is poor , they have no attention to the details of the cleanness, no refund and only warranty their work if the tint slips off.

I went to the swap shop today, and what I found were such hard working nice people that brought a tear to my eyes. Even if it was not crowded today, the vendors were still out there working hard. God bless them. We ate lunch there, which was really good and a great price too. There is so much selection there, clothing, accessories, costume jewelry, footwear etc. please go and help support the vendors.

Love it. Like big ol' thrift stores all over. Like some things are cheap. Some not. Saw some pretty dresses etc. Notice does have drive in movie theater. Parking fee cheap $2 bucks. Didn't go drive in movie theater yet. Maybe parking price for that different. Maybe try it one day. Though when you get ready to park. Notice ground like wave like hills. You see when get there. Guess they made it like that for reason. Bought me nice plant for $6 dollar not bad. Had Ferrari cars viewing. Like big flea market in/outdoor. Farmer market sell fruits/vegetables. Sell everything. Definitely coming back again.

Came here for a movie. It's pretty fun! Only $7 pp and we brought a bunch of snacks. I called ahead to ask if I could bring my dog and they didn't care. So I don't understand everyone saying "no pets allowed" unless you're referring to the Swap Shop only.

What a weird place. Like a trip to an open air market in Barbados, with a random car museum and kiddy park tacked on for good measure. Then it's a massive multi-plex drive in in a massive parking lot (bring a transistor radio to avoid risking the car battery). Absolutely worth one visit.

part oddity, part spectacle, part twilight zone.. all awesomeness! I can honestly say i love going to this place.... a no frills outdoor and indoor flea market that just happens to be one of the largest in the country. You wanna stock up on produce.. they've got it... you want cheap luggage and tools and equipment they've got it... .. never been to a drive-in movie theater? well ur in luck as they have multiple big screens so you can come here at night to add that check to ur bucket list. you into antiques collectibles, second hand items... guess what... they've also got that... chances are you will find whatever it is you looking for at the swap shop.... they even have an area for car detailing, tints, sound systems etc. don't expect any high end shopping here but if you wanna try your hand at haggling that's part of the fun! Just walking around and seeing what there is to see is worth the visit.. some pro tips: -bring cash -on hot days dress cool with comfortable shoes. -when you get there head straight for the produce area and buy a $3-$5 cold coconut to sip on as you make your way through the market. -on ur way out stop at the indoor area to take a look at the late owners exotic race car collection.

I love this place, it can be a bit overwhelming because you don't know where to start shopping! I came here with my family and I came up on some good bargains like always. I purchased 5 dresses for $20 and 12 pack of socks for $5!! I have to come back for a few more items but overall great place to come to shop, eat, and make memories.

This particular G & S fake jewelry stand has haters-weirdos standing in there pretending to work, but all they do is stalk & stare at other customers, especially afro-Latinas who are with their husbands. The guy gossips with the chicks like a F. racist discrimination colorism. It's not anyone's fault u can't get or keep a good man. Can customers just go there to be happy & shop minding their business without u devil's hating?

3 1/2 stars actually. I like this place for what it is. I usually visit this place when I'm looking for something specific and know I can find it here at a bargain. The place is what it is in short. It's a flea market. Have fun happy shopping

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE DRIVE IN THEATER. My hubs and I came here to watch a a movie to do something different. It was honestly super cool. I really liked the outdoor feeling and being able to watch a movie. It's $7 pp and must follow the drive in rules ( no sitting on the floor, turn your lights off, no speeding, no pets). Before heading over we stopped to buy some pizza and breadsticks. We also took some drinks. They do have people on carts driving throughout the lot selling food, snacks, drinks, beer ( you just flash your lights at them and they go to you) or you can go to the food stand towards the back and buy popcorn refreshments and other things. We have a truck so we took 2 beach chairs and a little table and set it on the bed of the truck. Their first round of showings start at 8 pm so I suggest to arrive by 7 and start getting in line. It gets packed fast. They have about 13 screens so it gets pretty busy. You can definitely stay for their next showing after your movie ends if you wanna catch another film. Tips: -Take a picture of the showings before you head in so you know what movies are playing on which screens ( just in case you want to stay) -If your going to stay in the bed of the truck -TAKE BUG SPRAY -If your going to stay in the bed of the truck- TAKE AN ANOLOG RADIO (so you can hear the movie) - If you're going to stay in your car bring a blanket or a pillow so that you're comfortable. -Have Fun!! Enjoy the outdoors
