This place needs a big time redo.. especially considering the price. The worst part was the elevator situation. Several aren't working leading to long waits trying to get on one with any room to board. We were getting on up to go down and vice versa. Anyway.. we would not consider staying there again.

Free wifi certainly, but as bad as public wifi in a mall, a store, even the wifi in a transport vehicle is faster.

So embassy suites suites used to be a very high-end hotel. I can see why this is rated 3 1/2 stars because it is on the older side and the rooms do smell like stale smoke. However, it is beautiful inside and the room that we stayed in I believe was a suite and it was very spacious and we were all very comfortable. Lots of room to walk around. There was a living room, and, a sink in the living room another sink in the bedroom and then of course the bathroom had a sink so lots of people could get ready at the same time. There is a large refrigerator and a microwave. We were very comfortable, but you can tell that the whole area was pretty dated.

I purchased 1 room on 11/6-11/7 , upon arrival , i arrived pretty late around 11:30pm- midnight , once i got to the receptionist , she stated i need to pay 50 dollars as a deposit for the room , i proceed to ask what time breakfast was due to a late arrival and early departure , the reception proceed to state" wait until i'm done talking " , reception felt she must tell me everything before just stating the breakfast time . " , i explained to her how rude her attitude was , " she talked for another 5 minutes " then proceeded to state " when i talk i expect people to look at me ". i am very upset and sadden to have paid this much for a room and get the service i got upon arrival . it took her almost 10 minutes to give me the key to my room . Very disheartening to experience such poor service

We repeatedly asked for bedding, including a blanket and pillows, for the foldout bed, but they never responded. We had four in our room, but only two towels. Housekeeping and the front desk stopped answering their phone, so we spoke with guest services three times in three hours and they were even having trouble reaching anyone from housekeeping. The second time, housekeeping told the front desk staff they had delivered our requested items but they never did. We will never stay here again.

I visited 2024 and stayed for a week and came back this year for another week. The hotel is great with a lot of nearby shopping and food options and a quick drive to/from the airport. My only fault in it is that it caters to cruise ship guests, so some nights/mornings it be very busy

Nice large rooms, very clean. Free breakfast but 30 plus person line to wait through.

I can't recommend this hotel. The rooms are ok... but the front lights in my suite didn't work, so I had to stumble through the dark with all my luggage to find a light switch. The toilet barely flushed. And it was very noisy. The people partying in the bar across the street and the constant ding...ding of the elevator kept me up most of the night (and i wasn't that close to the elevator).
But the elevators were the worst thing about the hotel. They have 5 public elevators, but when I stayed only 3 worked, and not very well. There were hundreds of people checking in from arriving cruises or trying to check out and the elevators were a huge bottleneck. It took me almost an hour to get back up to my room after returning my rental car.
If I ever take another cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale, I will stay somewhere else. This was the recommended hotel for our cruise on Norweigen Cruise Lines, but our experience here was not good.

Unfortunately, the hotel is showing its age and our room had issues including very slow flushing toilets, stopped up tub, noisy HVAC fan, and a general old smell. Only three elevators of six were working. Breakfast was good. The lobby area and pool still looks great. Well organized cruise ship shuttles. Professional staff. Good bedding, clean room. Very overpriced for the quality of our accommodations.

I was highly disappointed in how run down this property is! While the rooms are accommodating, they are very poorly taken care of. The room I stayed in had molded shower curtains and the bathtub/shower combo looked like it was something from the 1960's! The sheets felt rough and the mattress was stiff. Complimentary breakfast was included and I didn't trust a single thing that was put out. There is also a pool on property which had plenty of dirty towels on the floor next to the beach chairs.

This was the most chaotic hotel that I have ever stayed in. Rooms were overbooked and there was consistently a lobby full of frustrated people, beginning when we arrived at 1 am. Poor management was grossly unprepared for the number of guests. One elevator was down and the others were extremely slow. We frequently walked down from the 9th floor to avoid. Breakfast was long lines for every individual item you wanted. Wait for omelette, wait for toast, wait for coffee, wait for empty tables. I would never stay again, nor recommend.

Nice place. Huge shopping area walking distance BEHIND the hotel.
