As a career bartender who learned by the school of hard knocks, I found the bar manager/staff over focused on newly created coctails and how cool they could look. That's sort of the direction the craft has gone lately. Where are my real, old school bartenders? Guess getting too old to be trendy.

The lack of basic customer service skills is shocking, and their behavior is a disgrace to the hospitality industry. This manager clearly has no business working in a role that requires professionalism, empathy, or problem-solving. Avoid this hotel at all costs if you value your time, money, or dignity.

I went there with my children and family the manager was so rude in front of everyone he had no compassion or understanding whatsoever and we were jet lagged I expected to treated with respect since we were paying a good amount of money but he acted so nasty when we were trying to ask for help.i was so disappointed please think before booking with them.

The staff was unbelievably rude, and the room was filthy. I’ll never stay here again.

I've stayed in many hotels, but the manager at double tree suite is, without a doubt, the rudest, most unprofessional person l've ever dealt with. From the moment I voiced a concern about [specific issue-e.g., cleanliness, noise, or service], they were dismissive, arrogant, and completely uninterested in helping.
It's clear this person has no clue how to manage a hotel, let alone interact with paying guests. Instead of resolving issues, they deflected blame and acted like they were doing me a favor by even speaking to me. Their attitude was downright condescending, and I left every interaction feeling more frustrated and disrespected.

Great spot for day use after getting off a cruise with evening flights. Staff was amazing
Room was clean with a great shower
Outdoor spaces were so relaxing and even a big screen TV I'm the lobby lounge to catch a little NFL

Stayed here from 12/12 thru 12/16 (4 nights) spent a total of $1,927.00 for a 2-bdrm. suite. 4 people stayed. They would only give us 3 keys. First of all, we had to use the service elevator all four days due to guest elevators being down. Never fixed while there. Our sofa in our room was extremely stained. One of the blow dryers in our room did not work. Never replaced. Hallways had bagged up garbage and bedding from rooms there for over 16 hours at a time. Also saw huge cockroach in women's restroom in lobby area. Told hotel employee. We have stayed here approx. 10 times in the past and have not had issues like this before. The reason we booked this hotel was to watch the boat parade. Called 2 weeks prior and talked to "Jess" to see if there were any rules or special seats we needed to adhere by, and she said no. Upon arrival on the patio, we were told by Manager "Angel" and he told us we could not sit there. It was reserved. No signs stating this. We were then surrounded by 5 hired security people who told us to move to the bar stools. Three of us 4 had recent knee replacement surgery and we told them we could not sit comfortably on high top chairs. They brought out meeting room chairs for us to sit on. Then management removed all the bar stools anyway.???? We were totally treated like criminals, and management was very condescending. The 2 people that we brought with us never stayed here before, and it was embarrassing to us that we picked this hotel, and it is the last time we will be staying here. Funny, since we used the service elevators all week, there was a sign posted that only employees should see. It was about "Problem Avoidance" It stated something about exceeding a guest's expectations. And ensuring a guest does not have a problem in the first place and take steps to prevent problems. Did Angel read this posting? Never again.
Walkability: Close to beach.

We enjoyed our stay at the Galleria Double Tree in Ft Lauderdale. The water taxi was right outside the door. They had a shuttle to the cruise port which was reasonably priced. Would stay there again.
Rooms: The rooms very spacious.
Nearby activities: We took the water taxi which was right outside the hotel’s door to tour the inter coastal. We walked to the Blue Martini for dinner and then to the beach.
Walkability: It was a 10 minute walk to the beach. We walked to the Blue Martini for dinner. The water taxi was right outside the hotel’s door.

None of the elevators were working so all the guests had to use the Service Elevators. This was a huge mess. We had to wait in long lines down a small hallway for staff. We had to squeeze into the Service Elevators with bar carts, laundry hampers and trash. I understand that this was the only way to get to our rooms but maybe compensate all the guests for being inconvenienced.
Check in was okay, no cookies 🍪 were offered.
The room needs LOTS of updating and needs a thorough cleaning.
Air vent return was full of dust, the cabinets were peeling and there were stains on the couch and curtains oh and I can’t forget the large rip in the headboard.
The most DISGUSTING 🤢 part was the hairdryer. Ugh it was so grimy that once I saw it I quickly put it away and did not use it.
The room was spacious and the bathroom seemed clean. The balcony needs updates just like everything else.
The location is great!
The valet was a mess and took Such a long time to get our car. One night they even forgot to get our car. They did apologize, thankfully.
This hotel needs a complete renovation and they need to go down to the studs.
Rooms: Needs updating
Nearby activities: On the intercostal and near parks
Safety: Safe neighborhood
Walkability: Walk to mall and restaurants
Food and drinks: Overpriced Buffett

The front left never told us about the parking. They also never told us that the elevators were broken that we have to go around the other side to get to the service elevators. Boy,it was fun it's nice to know they just don't give a crap
Rooms: Stained couch very old and used.
