Most car rental reviews are filled with nasty sub par reviews because it's travelers booking last minute ...I've been to this location 5x so far . I have had stellar service , even on a day where I could not get a Car due to my own fault in booking late with debit card .The cars are always clean, checkout is very fast and efficient . Two rentals ago , Mario advised me to get insurance for the car, which was damaged during my rental time .He basically saved me $1000s of dollars by genuinely caring and possessing understands insurance/liability coverages I've experienced bad service at a lot of locations but not this place I come here only. I highly recommend you should too

This location is a disaster and I wouldnt hire any of their employees to scoop dog poop in my yard....Reserved my car for 1030 pick up. Called to ask a simple question...told not to come at pick up time as they currently had no inventory...was told I would get a call back...4 hours later and nothing. After 3 phone calls I was offered an "upgrade" because that was the only car they had available-$30.00 more per day 1 hour before they closed. Hertz should remove their nameplate from this location. Oh, and the person who answered the phone hung up on me after putting me on hold for 30 minutes. continued to argue with me that they did have my car but not at the rate I booked. And please dont ask me to message you at m.me/hertz. Global cust. support was useless as well.

I always rent from AVIS when I am in Fort Lauderdale, but this time decided to give Hertz a try because the had the specific vehicle I wanted. I am Chairman's Club with Hertz Gold, but as I have found, that really doesn't get you anything. The make sure they had the vehicle I wanted, I went ahead and prepaid for the reservation three weeks before flying to FLL. When I arrived, my name was missing from the Parking Spaces Board, so now I have to go get in (the problem) line. Guess what, my reserved car is not available. After waiting 45 minutes for Elaine to request me a car, she finally summoned a manager (who didn't like leaving his desk). He was a short little Jewish guy (didn't get his name but he was wearing a yarmulke so I assume he is Jewish). He too offered me a few downgraded vehicles so I finally accepted one of them. Since there was no mention of refunding part of my prepayment for the premium vehicle I had reserved, I asked. The manager initially offered me $25. For the record, the car I reserved compared to the car I accepted was over $100 less (These people are dumb or just plain customer tone deaf). The manager finally offered me $80 "for my inconvenience" and after waiting over an hour, I reluctantly accepted. I was told the $80 credit would post back to my AMEX but a week later - no credit has shown up. So, now I guess I will have to get on the phone with Hertz to straighten this debacle out. AVIS is a much better run company - DO NOT rent from Hertz!

As some bozo-brained hot rodder hit my car and I had to rent a car while getting mine repaired. So, I went to this Hertz Rent a Car location as it was close to my repair shop; big mistake. First off, the car choices offered were pretty slim pickings. Matter of fact I was pretty lucky to even get a rental. It seems Hertz sold off most of its vehicle inventory during the Covid pandemic.Second, I've rented a lot of cars in the past. Every time I picked up a rental it had been washed clean and had a full tank of gas. The car they gave me here was not only dirty but covered with bird poop. I had to insist they wash it, which they did. Worse, the car only had a quarter of a tank of gas, immediately causing me to have to run to a gas station for a fill-up. As my damaged car was rather rare, Lexus RC F, it took some time to get the proper parts. Hence, I had to renew or extend my rental agreement several times. You would think I could merely do that on my computer or over the phone, but no. I couldn't do that. Each time I had to return the car to them, stand in line, and do all the paperwork all over again. A total pain. Though the employees were pleasant and polite, the whole of my dealings with Hertz Rent a Car were a horrible experience; never again.

Terrible customer service. Windshield was cracked on my car. Customer service says to return it to any location. This location refused to take the car back. Clearly no alignment between Corporate Hertz and its affiliates. Guy at the counter was rude and manager pretended to be on the phone so he wouldn't have to deal with this situation.

The sunrise location is terrific. Been coming here for many years since I have a place a couple of blocks away. Much less cost than an airport. Great staff and always have inventory. Don't hesitate to get your vacation car here and they also have trucks

Terrible experience we booked a van months in advance the email said to pick up the van at 1pm on the date we selected. We have been here over an hour we drove an hour to this location to learn that the van wasn't back yet from the previous person. Why no one contacted us the new reservation is beyond us as now we're here waiting with no time of assurance when they car will be here.

Reserved my reservation through Priceline. Waited 2.5 hours online to get the car. Upon reaching the counter I gave my name and they had the reservation. Asked for a credit card which I provided. Told there would e a deport on the card which wouldBe refunded once the vehicle was returned. Uneventful rental until I returned home and weeks later saw my statement. I had paid the rentalIn full through Priceline. Hertz charged me $561.77 on top of the $393.00 I had paid already. Unable to ever reach a person for weeks. Priceline was not much help either. Finally spoke to Hertz where Rachel informed me that I had agreed to pay $561.77 on top of the $393.00 I had already paid Priceline by signing my contract with them. That's $954.77 for 7 days with a Nissan in Florida!!! Seriously?!!!! Do not rent from Hertz these are crooks!!! Wow!

Rented an suv from Hertz. Received a Toyota sequoia that shook so bad when you were driving on the highway that it almost wrecked. Was told to take that to Miami Airport to change it in for another full-size SUV. Then received a 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe that the infotainment system is glitchy and constantly freaks out and does not work. Tried to call the number for Hertz roadside assistance and was on hold for 20 minutes with no answer. Finally hung up.I have videos of both the steering wheel wobble and the broken infotainment system in these piece of crap cars that they're giving out. I'm going to plaster it all over social media and let everybody in the world know what pieces of crap Hertz rents and how they have nonexistent customer service.What a bunch of pieces of crap from this company. Will never in my life rent from Hertz again and I was a gold member.

Unprofessional and classless staff. They are not for customer service and are very belittling. Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. They literally think their crap don't stink and trust me I'm being nice. I'm going to bite my tongue from here. Never again. Classless staff. Unprofessional. Period.

The pick up portion of the car was fast and easy but they failed to mention that since I would be returning the car before a holiday I would get charged $92 extra per day until they open again after the Labor Day holiday. Not only did not receive my deposit on time and still haven't received it, get that extra charge per day and now wait till it's convenient for them to return almost $500 this is crazy and very inconvenient. I would never rent from them again!
