Booked the reservation and it said 24/7. Got there a little after 2am and there was a line of people waiting for cars and no one at the desk. An employee in the garage said they were closed until 4am. 22/7 at an international airport?

SCAMMERS!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! Worst place I have ever been. They signed me up for their insurance when I told them I had my own. I asked if they needed my AAA card to wave my underage fee and they told me no and it was all set. They asked me to sign a liability thing and did not show me it and I signed the little pad. I then get a bill for $400 after I paid everything I was supposed to for insurance and Under age fee. Customer service was absolutely no help. Impossible to get in touch with and unhelpful with any situation. I also got charged for tolls when we paid every toll in cash!!!! This place is an absolute scam. Ended up paying MORE THAN DOUBLE for no reason. Disgusting way to run a business and it shows in every other review where you give a robotic response that is unhelpful.

Beware! If you absolutely must to go with this company, and notice any dings on the vehicle you are about to rent, TAKE PICTURES! That way they can't claim that you did it and charge you for it. Don't make the same mistake that my husband and I did! We saw the dings, but expected them to be honest since they are a known company. Lesson learned.

Worst experience renting a car. I rented and prepaid online. At time of pick up they charged me another $315 saying $200 was a deposit I would get back. They gave me a year old car from New York that already had 26k miles on it. I got my statement and they didn't return my $200. The receipt showed $175 in damages. Can not talk to anyone on the phone, I had to send an email. Never again.

I rented a car through Thrifty when I got the bill on my $325 rental it was over $1,000 they charged me $897 they said I was smoking in the car which was not true the car had almost 60,000 miles on it and it was filthy I urge anyone that needs to rent a car do not use hertz do not use Thrifty or anyone that's involved with these two companies they are scammers. I am asking for the recording of one I left the garage and let's see if they can get it for me. I will update as things progress but please stay far away

Do yourself a favor and listen to all the bad reviews on this thread! Absolute worst place to rent a car from. We reserved our vehicle online and when we arrived at the Hertz rental place in the airport, they told us they did not have a vehicle for us because they had people that did not return vehicles on time! I even received a confirmation email the morning of the rental with directions to Hertz in the airport. They knew they weren't going to have a vehicle for us and we were never notified! They said they could give us an electric vehicle. No! That is not what I reserved! Our reservation was cancelled. There was a line of people there to pick up vehicles which were all told the same thing. Our flight was late so it was midnight and most of the other car rental places were closed. Luckily, Avis was still open and had a few vans and trucks available and we were able to get a vehicle and not be stranded at the airport for the night. We drove by the Hertz parking lot for rentals on the way out and it was basically empty!Then I call the next week to get a refund. I was put on hold for a long time, then hung up on so I had to call back. The next lady I spoke with said I would have a refund in 10 days. It's now been almost a month and I still have not received my deposit back.Go to Avis, or anywhere but here! Complete waste of time and money! Worst car rental experience that I have ever had!

In the midst of a family crisis, with my mom having taken a bad fall, the kindness and efficiency of customer service can truly feel like a beacon of hope. This was my experience with Hertz in Fort Lauderdale, a story of compassion and excellent service that deserves to be shared.Initially, my attempts to extend my rental were met with frustration. A call to the customer service line ended with me being transferred overseas, where I was informed I had no choice but to return the car immediately. Any attempt to change my booking online presented an exorbitant fee of $400, more than twice what I had paid for the original five-day rental. Feeling cornered by these seemingly insurmountable obstacles, I decided to address the issue in person and drove down to the airport, not knowing what to expect.What happened next was nothing short of remarkable. I was met by two Hertz representatives, Phyro M and William V, who were the epitome of professionalism and empathy. From the moment I explained my situation, they assured me that they would take care of everything. Their approach was not just about solving a rental issue; they showed genuine concern for my predicament and were determined to help me get back to my mother as quickly as possible.Phyro and William went above and beyond what I could have hoped for. Stars should be designated like this: 2 STARS for CAR PICK-UP,5 STARS for CAR DROP-OFF.2 STARS: Pick up was a little challenging even though I am a Gold Plus Member, I was not able to skip the desk. Would like to see this aspect simplified so Gold Plus Members received this great benefit at all eligible airport locations. In addition, the shuttle bus was not running when we arrived at 11 PM in March, 2024, and we were forced to walk a long distance from the terminal to the rental car building. Thankfully, my father-in-law was provided a wheel chair.5 STARS: Drop off, however, was fantastic thanks to MR. WILLIAMS who assisted my 80+ father-in-law who has difficulty walking (uses a wheel chair in the airport) by driving us to the terminal. THIS WAS A FANTASTIC HELP! Thank you Hertz for having such amazing employees!

I flew into FLL recently, and my flight got delayed 2 hours and my rental car window had already closed. Izzy at HERTZ car rental really helped my friend and I at 1am and had us in a vehicle in record time. (Under 20minutes) apart from the amazing customer service. Car was clean, and smell free. We want to thank IZZY for saving the day and getting two very tired and weary travelers home.

Terrible customer experience and attitude from staff. Unknowledgeable and understaffed. Didn’t get the car we expected. Took 1 hour to leave the parking lot once getting in the actual car.
