This is our third stay at Hotel Maren in the past year. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are all well appointed. The location is great, right on the beach, with a great assortment of restaurants and bars within an easy walk. The pool and gym are great.

DJ and James made my check in flawless! I had arrived after a very early flight and was greeted with a smile and helpful and thoughtful James taking my bags and ushering me inside. DJ at the front desk helped me get the most perfect room with a balcony and an ocean view after a long winter in Nj- it was all I needed. The room was spotless, and after soaking in some sun, I took a break for lunch at Riviera and Alex made my solo lunch so enjoyable. The staff here are rockstars. It’s a great location-super clean and comfy. Thanks for making my trip so fantastic! I will certainly be back!

Our room was dirty, the bathroom shower was moldy and the sheets on the bed were stained. We didn't get the security deposit (2 nights) back after 3 months, I don't think we will. The view and location were beautiful.

My experience with this hotel was the worst for me.. location beautiful but some staff and employees so disrespectful not helpful.. bartender near pool super rude… lost my keys in hotel went home and had to fly down to retrieve them queen I came back they told me they weren’t there.. and no one could help me.. I wasted time and money flying back down to not be able to retrieve my property.. now they send me emails saying they will shop and it was my fault for losing my keys.. the accountability and disrespect to paying customers is beyond me.. I will spend my money somewhere else

Positives:- Location- Beach is less crowded in front of the hotelNegatives:- The rooms are dirty. I paid $500 a night to have sticky, stained carpet. I also found pills and old food on the ground, meaning our room likely wasn't vacuumed, or was done so poorly. Also, there were dishes from room service below the chair in the corner of the room, so that's just more evidence that cleaning isn't a priority at this property.- Staying with the same theme, the housekeepers do not change your sheets or pillowcases during your stay... at all. We had a pillow fall off the bed on more than one occasion, so I'd take off the pillowcase (so they wouldn't just throw it back on the bed) and put the pillow on the desk. When returning to the room in the evening, I noticed a familiar stain on one of the pillowcases that fell. I figured there's no way they put back on a dirty pillowcase and made the bed with it... Right? Well, the next day I tried the same thing but dropped a bright red piece of lint in the pillowcase to see if they changed it or not. NOPE! THEY PUT BACK ON THE SAME PILLOWCASE ?- When our towels were restocked, one time we didn't receive washcloths and another time we didn't receive hand towels.- On the day I checked out, the hotel held our bags, but they must've just tossed them in the room because the flip thing on my girlfriend's Owala water bottle was cracked and a big portion of the top was filed right off.- On the beach, an umbrella seat cost $30 and an extra chair cost $20. It's crazy how you get nickel and dimed considering the price of the rooms. They also take away all the chairs at 5pm, and you have to be conservative with how much you reorient them. If you move the chairs more than about 3 feet, the chair boogeyman will come drag them back to their original location. Also, if you check out, don't even try to go to the beach in front of the hotel while you wait for your flight. We saw multiple people get kicked off the beach who weren't even using the chairs because they were no longer guests. The way groups that just spent $3k+ at their hotel were treated is embarrassing.- A sign in the elevator stated it hadn't been inspected for multiple years, which makes sense because the lights turned off a few times and the doors would stutter/get stuck on the 7th floor, scaring people attempting to exit.- We only received our "daily 2 free waters" 3.5/6 times (one day we received 1 water, not 2).- If you have leftovers from one of the restaurants in the area, be aware that your $500+ room does not have a microwave.- I also didn't even bother bringing most of this up with the staff because no one seemed like they wanted to help, and I was just over it. I've felt much more welcomed at a $90 Home2 in the middle of no where. There's more that I could say too, but I think that's more than enough to emphasize how disgusted I was with this trip for the amount that was paid.

Booked for 3 days, 2 nights, hotel staff was friendly and got us to check in earlier. The room with ocean view is pretty good, clean, and well maintained. The downsidede is that you need to pay 30$ for umbrellas on the beach. wish I'd new that before, maybe would of booed ksomewhere elseere.

I stayed at the hotel between February 23 and 25. When I entered the reception they withheld $290.00 and when I left I asked what I had to pay for the parking for two days and they told me that I would do it to the deposit I had and supposedly I would have to deduct $96.00 plus the taxes and they deducted $194.74, there is no reason for that discount, I would like to know what happened

We stayed at the Maren for one night as Hilton Diamond members. The arrival experience was very poor. The lady at the front desk was not able to assist us with the redeeming of our hotel voucher we received from Hilton from a former stay, although we had handed it in upfront. There was no manager on site until 11:00 a. m. the next morning. The room provided to us offered a nice view over Fort Lauderdale but was in a quite worn condition. There was no hot water available when we arrived late in the evening. The breakfast served in the lobby restaurant is moderate & the furniture is very grubby and worn.Summarizing the Maren Hotel equals a moderate three star hotel standard at a very high price level.

Great option at Fort Lauderdale beach. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds. Great ocean or intercoastal views from rooms. Resort fee includes 2 bottles of water in room as well as two beach loungers and towels. Staff friendly overall. Parking is steep ($48). Pool area is on the small side but they did a good job working with the space they had. Overall I would recommend.Rooms: Rooms are spacious for how close to beach it is.Walkability: Walkable to beach and lots of nearby restaurants, water activities, and the swimming hall of fame.

very nice hotel, oceanfront king room was as described. Lots of space, beautiful large balcony facing ocean. This hotel is right across from the beach/boardwalk. breakfast not so great, although effort was made. Front desk upon late check in was very nice and helpful ( javier)Unfortunately had to leave early and could not enjoy facilities
