This is a gas station scam. I paid 3.99 for gas instead of 2.99. The scammers are rude and rude and they take you for a fool.

ZERO STARS – SCAMMERS!
I had the worst experience at this Shell gas station. The advertised cash price was $2.99 per gallon, but when I paid, they charged me $3.99 a gallon—$1 MORE than the advertised price! This is pure theft and a scam. They’re misleading customers on purpose, and I feel completely ripped off. The average gas price in the area is nowhere near $4, so they’re clearly just taking advantage of people. This place is a complete joke, and I will NEVER be back. DO NOT trust them, and DO NOT fuel up here. Absolutely horrendous!

Price gouging $1 more per gallon for credit

Do not go here. They advertise a cheap price on the street then charge dollars more at the pump.

Advertised price is cash only and credit price is a dollar higher. It's not unusual for the credit price to be 10-20 cents higher but a whole dollar is deceptive.

The price of gasoline is indicated on each machine, the offer advertised on the sign on the avenue is only for cash payments. Have you seen what's new about this place? They updated the car wash 😀🚙

Stay away from this place! Price gauging!!!! Sign says $2.99 and that’s cash price. Card price was $3.99. A dollar more for card! Crazy!!! Stay away!!!!!!

Do not trust this place. Advertised price for Regular is $2.99. No signs for any surcharge if you use credit cards, which in itself is illegal. The actual price is $3.99.

Beware, this Shell gas station on NE 19th St and N Federal Hwy in Fort Lauderdale has advertised $2.89 per gallon, but when you get to the pump and preauthorize your card, the price per gallon changes to $3.89. Poor show. I looked at the sign on the road again, and they do have a printed plastic sign that says "cash" stuck to the side of the lit LED sign advertising the lower amount, but you don't really notice that. I cancelled the transaction before even lifting the nozzle and went somewhere else.
And just FYI, this was on Saturday and the preauthorization hold of $100 is still pending on my account, it'll fall off eventually, but it's irritating to know that money is probably earning interest in an account somewhere for Shell USA, and I didn't even pump one drop of gas. And there probably aren't any consumer protections in place for this sort of borderline unscrupulous business activity.
The Exxon on NW 19th St and Powerline has consistently been $2.85 per gallon (over the last month or so, anyway), and the advertised price is what you pay at the pump using a credit card OR cash. And the pre-authorization hold falls of pretty quickly, too. Or at least I haven't noticed it still pending on my account 3 days later like with Shell.

Go elsewhere . Im definitely reporting this place . They charge way more if you don’t pay for gas in cash . The signs are misleading

Beware. The list price on the sign is for cash. They have a $1 markup if you use a credit card, which is a bit extreme.

I’m waiting for the police for an hour now in the front of this Shell gas station because the cashier will not give me a refund on the money I placed some pump number three that she placed on pump number seven…. She’s very rude and it’s very inconvenient. There’s a long line. She doesn’t know what she’s doing. Merry Christmas. Happy new year.

Crooks, they post a price, and in dark letters they say cash, once you fill the car it's 30% more expensive.
Customers beware!!
