Is not a typical Italian Restaurant, the chefs cook Italian food, with more up to date ingredients and sauces, and also some old style Italian dishes, the place is amazing, the service was outstanding, and the best, was the

My first impression was reminding me of a old run down Marriott hotel restaurant. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We started with the mussels which I’m not a big fan of to begin with but the dish was delicious and definitely would recommend getting. Then we all shared the table side homemade pasta with pesto sauce. Definitely order this for the table if you’re a 4 top. He prepared the pasta on one of those giant parmigiano reggiano rounds. Well the gimmick worked. It was also delicious. Then we shared a branzino and chicken parmigiana both were acceptable but not amazing. Finally we finished off the meal with their homemade donuts filled with ricotta cream which was of course delicious. You can’t screw up a donut. The service was very friendly and quick. Overall it was worth going and prices were reasonable. 4 to 4.5 thumbs up.

Update. Not a yes not a no. NeutralDownhill. Menu has been shortened to one page. Portions cut. Not the same as quality has slid and the competition is fierce. Too many fine Italian restaurants. It didn’t help that the remodel catered to a younger crowd along with a DJ. The locals moved on. The mussels are still a popular crowd pleaser. Overpriced and small portions.Old reviewWelcome back. One of the best Italian restaurants on las olas. Mussels a specialty. Not a bad item on the menu. Highly recommended.Reviews by a local for over 60 years. No fluff just the stuff

Several of us came in on a weeknight for a business dinner. The staff was friendly, the menu is pretty decent and has a nice assortment of Italian dishes on it, including homemade pastas.Wine list is decent. The venue is romantic and somewhat dark, but beautifully decorated. All of our food was really good, including dessert! The dessert menu is an interesting experience too!Definitely would return!

We had a wonderful experience at Timpano on Las Olas. The service from Madison was attentive and helpful. She checked in with me about my food allergies and made sure what I ordered was prepared without allergens. The appetizers we chose were fantastic! We'd recommend the arancini and skillet mussels. Both were phenomenal with a twist on the typical preparations. Coming from an Italian family with two outstanding cooks as parents, I typically have a hard time finding food that surpasses what I'm accustomed to at home. Timpano did it! The cavatelli was perfectly seasoned and so tender! I only wish I had room for dessert!

We were looking for a place to have a good glass of wine and some good cheese. Here the wine list was good. Ordered red wine and, IT WAS super cold! Had to wait forever for the wine to get to a more drinkable temperature. Who chills red wines?

Early reservation. Service was decent. Our waiter was fine but seemed like he hated his job. We also had to finally ask the assistants to stop approaching the table to remove plates we weren't finished with. It was comical but annoying after the 6th time. I do not like their new menu. You're advised up front that if you want something from the old menu the answer is no. Meanwhile the 2 best Italian restaurants are in FTL are in strip malls and they'll make anything you ask for. They're equally as busy if not more than Timpano. I wanted a pasta dish but the chef refused to substitute spaghetti with linguine. They have it. But a lot of these restaurants now have "chef driven" menus. Ok...... as long as the "chef" is happy. I ordered chicken Parmesan . It comes with nothing. So I ordered the $16 side pasta. It was a small bowl of bad pasta. I sent it back and ended up bringing it home. Who doesn't love left over pasta and chicken parm? Yum. Not this time. It ended up in the trash. If you're going to have the nerve to tell me that you cannot substitute a noodle you really need to have exceptional food. They also said they no longer serve bread. So they took some sliced bread with olive oil and put it on a grill. No bread service at an Italian restaurant? This industry is changing to be less and less customer oriented almost across the board. It's expensive and just uninspiring. It's going to come around and bite you in the but. I live on Las Olas and we constantly talk about restaurants.
