Mission United / part of United way has recently found amazing ways to continue to help our veterans from homes, careers, seek mental health opportunities, training, etc.The team at mission United are pleasant to work with, have a sense of good humor and have a heart and dedication towards serving those who have so freely served this country. Most of them are also veterans, young and seasoned - all still hero’s in my book.A new office is opening in Broward so veterans can find the resources they need.An outreach team is dedicated to finding and educating this population on how to take advantages of these services.Hats off to you veterans. We should all find ways to serve them whether through funding or volunteering.

It's almost as if this place is front to get government funded but they do not use it for the veterans. I am a Navy veteran who applied for their housing services and I have not received any help to date. I applied over 2 months ago and I haven't heard a thing.

The United Way's homeless veterans program is one of the worst programs I have ever dealt with. Zero follow up and zero concern once the tenant/veteran had passed completed their lease agreement. Empty commitments to remove our veterans when they prove to be problematic. Specific names of United Way workers to follow.

Kathryn Holcomb is a great ambassador for such a noble service and charity as the United Way of Broward County. As a fellow member of our Executives' Association of Fort Lauderdale, she brings loads of positive energy to everything she's a part of. Thank you, Kathryn... Fire Guard stands ready to assist you and The United Way.

Mission United ft laud is the most unprofessional organization i ever dealt with. I completed an appl for a vet to get Move In assitance in May 2018 the application was denied due to property being ineligible. Landlords beware they only pay 2 months move in fees but you do not find this out until you submitted the Appl for assistance if your property is denied they do not advise you either. you have to submit your id/fill out W--9 and ssn i do not believe there is any security for your info
