Host was rude. Expressed his annoyance with being busy and told patrons a wait time is expected this time of year. Would think he would be grateful for the business especially with Covid to deal with.Food was unacceptable. Fish was very dry. Carrot and beans were very hard and when placing the fork into them the red sauce splatter over my white sweater. When our server finally came back she told us we should have said something sooner - discounting the fact that she did not come back to see how everything was until it was time to give us the bill. Many restaurant choices in the area, every place we went was great with this exception.

Ordered the sea bass special, Shared some with my girlfriend who ordered a different meal. Presentation was very nice, but not worth the price. I had an uneasy stomach not long after dinner but I figured I might have just eaten too much. About 12 hours pass, and I became extremely sick with food poisoning. I called the restaurant immediately when they opened the following day to inform them of my experience, and I was dismissed after being told I was the Only one who has called with this experience after eating their sea bass special, and they sold 36 that night, and that “food poisoning usually takes 24-48 hours to affect someone” (Which is incorrect). My girlfriend who had just a few bites of my dinner became violently sick with food poisoning just 12 hours after me. I would not recommend going here unless you want to spend $110 for over priced food poisoning.EDIT: Since there is no reply button, I know my body. I had food poisoning, as stated by a physician. AFTER eating dinner at your establishment. My discomfort was caused by the dish, and South Beach Grille has been nothing but rude, condescending, and has done absolutely nothing to make it right since it has happened. BUYER BEWARE. I did not get a random stomach bug, I had food poisoning.

Had great service and enjoyed our meal here. However, this place clearly has a food poisoning problem. My boyfriend ate the panko crusted haddock and had severe food poisoning. I had a couple bites of it and threw up multiple times, but not nearly as bad as him. Seems like the restaurant tries to write off peoples complaints of this by saying it’s not food poisoning or there’s a “stomach bug” going around the island. This is most definitely food poisoning. I work in the food service industry and hate having to write a bad review for a restaurant, but it really seems like this place has a problem. There’s better places to eat at on the island where your risk of having the worst night ever is a lot lower!!

One of the best places in Fort Myers. The servers have all been above and beyond, their food is delicious and I can’t get past their Blood-orange Margarita!Perfect for a girlfriend lunch but guys like it too!

Would not recommend unless you enjoy food poisoning. Went here with my boyfriend, we ordered the sea bass special, calamari, and the chicken dish. Less than 24 hours later (without eating since then) we were both bathroom/bed ridden ill. My boyfriend called to notify them and they didn’t seem too concerned at all. I had a stomach ache immediately after leaving the restaurant. Be careful, I would not wish that experience on anyone!

Food wasn't as good as hyped up to be. Shrimp scampi tasted Terrible. Service was just ok. Seafood pasta was subpar.

I was really disappointed in food and service. Oyster Rockefeller was delicious as was the blue cheese salad. However service was very slow. When our Surf and Turf did finally make it to our table (only 8 people in the place) both the lobster tail and filet were over cooked and very dry. Ordered steak medium (should have had pink center) but it was a very well done steak. The meal was VERY expensive and for the price the entire meal should have been excellent. Both my husand and I were very disappointed and definitely our one and done on list of restaurants to try when eating out when in Fort Myres.

By far, always one of the best meals we have at Fort Myers Beach. From appetizer, soup, salad, and Entrees just what we hoped for. Fresh and Delicious. It’s only and annual visit for us but always makes the list of places to go.

Good food, upscale atmosphere. Seafood is fresh.Good variety of bread in the bred basket. We come here before hitting the live music across the street at the Wyndham.

I usually prefer to make my own meals and am known by my circle to be finicky about where I dine out. I was inspired by the online menu at South Beach Grille. When I arrived I was greeted by many smiling faces and delighted to finally order an Aperol Spritz (I'd been asking elsewhere and for days)!Tyler shared the daily specials and when the snapper arrived at my table I was immediately impressed. The fish was prepared to the ideal texture and green beans and kimchi risotto were perfect pairings. I had ordered the roasted pear salad (the vinaigrette was fantastic) and therefore could only finish half of my dinner. The main portions are generous. All around South Beach Grille provided a fantastic experience and at a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend and will visit again on my next trip!

I am writing this review to save others a trip. The good: apps, soup, salad, drinks, bread and crab legs. The bad: remaining entrees were terrible, including sides and dessert. The bad meals we had were sirloin, scallops, swordfish with lobster ravioli. None were good. Just don’t bother. Didn’t get pics of the apps which were the only good part of our meals. Pics are pretty but food was awful.

If you like excellence in food and culinary skills don’t bother with this place. Def not worth the trip. We enjoyed our apps, soup/salad, bread and drinks. That’s where the good ends. Entrees and desserts were not up to par. We are food snobs and expect the best when we dine out. This just didn’t come close to expectations.
