This Post does so much for their community and military/veterans and their families. The commandeer is an awesome man who has that git er done attitude and is always positive and upbeat.

Kevin is who’s over this location and he allows Tony to disrespect other people just in need of help with food. Tony is allowed to curse and make verbal threats at people looking for food assistance. I know that I witnessed Tony disrespecting a woman due to a concern about a child that could have been majorly injured. She tried to address the rules that had been giving to all others pertaining to our children not being able to attend a pickup. But they allowed someone else due to them being a veteran. Tony is someone that needs to be removed from this location. I’m truly never ever going there again after seeing him threaten that woman with concerns. And walk into her face as if he was going to hit her. Kevin if you’re reading this please do what’s best for your clients in need of the American legions 38 assistance. If you have someone with mental issues and not on their medication they just shouldn’t be assisting anyone at all. Because if someone gets hurt you guys will receive a lawsuit.

The food banks food is not fit for dogs to eat. Every week there are new rules. I've seen them giving extra meet and food to their friends and then they say we don't have any meat. I won't be going back.

Big bar. Friendly people. The place is dead most of the time. I don't know how it survives. Open to the public.

I travel frequently and make an effort to visit the local legions. This is by far the most caring and community service based post I’ve come across. Not only do they go above and beyond to support veterans but they also care and support their local community IMMENSELY. I’m so grateful that I have found my way into this post.

Do not let the one star review here keep you from this place. I travel frequently and make an effort to visit the local legions. This is by far the most caring and community service based post I've come across. Not only do they go above and beyond to support veterans but they also care and support their local community IMMENSELY. I'm so grateful that I have found my way into this post.Great people, great bartenders, and great prices. They also have a veterans art gallery and numerous antiques of the like on display. What a GREAT post. If you are in the area, please check it out. This post is the epitome of the American Legion's mission for service and support.

Posts #38 & #323 Performed my husbands service at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens. Both of theses posts went out of their way to make sure there would be a Military Memorial to honor my husband Jim he was a 100% disabled Viet Nam Vet. It was so beautiful and emotional. Words can't describe how grateful I am thank you so very much.
