OZK has been described as having a “small town feel,” which may have been true back when they were Ozark Bank. I've had the opposite impression.
Bank OZK’s policies are among the most customer-unfriendly I’ve experienced. There have been too many annoying experiences with them to list, but here's the latest two.
Every check that we've written over $500 triggers a phone call verification before they cash it.
The first time, sure, no problem. But after the person has been established as a trusted payee, it no longer makes common sense.
They have cashed more than 10 checks this way, all around the same amount, but they still insist on doing a phone call verification every single time. If I don’t answer the phone right away, the payee is sent away and forced to return later.
Even when I asked them not to do that, they told me “it’s their policy” and they would likely continue to do so. I told them it's a terrible policy, to which they indicated that it was “standard operating procedure at banks.” That’s just not true. Most banks rely on signature verification and fraud detection, not blanket call-backs every single time.
Second, when we tried to update our address, they wanted my 88 year old mother to come in person. Again, most banks let you do this online or by phone with verification.
In a real small town, if someone comes in ten or more times to cash a check, the bank knows them and trusts them. If the signature lined up they would cash it. In a small town, you’d just make a phone call and say hey, please update the address.
I've only listed just the most recent two. There are many others, I can assure you. There is absolutely no reason to choose this as your bank.
It has the feel of a small town bank- after it was invaded and assimilated into a corporate conglomerate with policies that prioritize their own interests over their customers.

This is absolutely one of the worst banks I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It's nothing but complication, the service is terrible, their policies are terrible. They make absolutely nothing simple and straightforward. And, honestly, it's just the fact that they simply do not care.

Beware: if you have a cd that matures and you don’t call them to tell them you want to renew it, the accounts reverts back to .05% without any notice. They don’t care if you take your money to a different bank. Horrible policy.

This is far yet the BEST BANKING EXPERIENCE EVER! They are all wonderful at this branch and their branch manager Mr. Dale is absolutely amazing! They will help you with all your needs or questions you may have and give you professional advice. They are truly the best branch of employees I’ve come to know! Thank you OZK of Fort Myers on Daniels Pkwy. ?

This place is a Karen's heaven. I walked in. I was talking to a gentleman behind the glass. He was my teller. I was having a conversation with him had nothing to do with the teller who is seated three stations down. She decided to open her mouth, and start With what she knew about my situation, which was nothing. I wasn't talking to her, I told her to mind her own business she called some low life manager who came out and took her side, so if you want to do business with a bunch of loudmouth Karen's who are more than likely from New York. Feel free to do business with these lowlife dirtbags. Clearly the support the New World Order. Customer Service is a function of Capitalism. That's why they Don't have any. Not smart for a mid size bank.this is what happens when you employ entitled millennials. You lose customers. Dummies

I went to Daniel's Parkway location today to take care of some banking. I was met with such a degrading attitude from the branch manner. Her name is Alyssia Ballard. She talks down to and over her customers. She has no people skills after all. She is the head of this branch. How embarrassing!! I'm looking to take my business elsewhere. I would like to be treated like an adult human. I recommend for customers to stay away from this branch. Terrible!

This is my personal and business bank location. The team at this location is fantastic. Don't let older reviews dissuade you, as everyone I have worked with here for the last 1.5 years has really made me experience wonderful. I have had really bad experiences with tellers and managers in the past at other locations and I actually love stopping by here.

They have been my business bank for several years, since they were C1. Great staff and service. There is no competition between them and the BIG national banks. Band OZK beats them every time!

They were rude and insulting. They talk down to their customers. My mother got charged 3, yes 3, overdraft charges in 1 day. This was during the hurricane. They deducted $105.00 in charges from her account in 1 day. When they were called, my mother did not have a chance to say a word. They said we're not taking off the charges. This was also the time when her dog died, the manager responded, when my dog died I still was acting responsible I paid my bills. There needs to be training in customer service at the branches here in Fort Myers, because they have none. Keep in mind these were managers saying this stuff. Very very poor! Bad customer relations. Choose another bank.

Don't waste your time with these liars. I applied for a loan with them (C1 Bank) and they gave me the run around for WEEKS. Left them and went to Finemark ...
