This restaurant has phenomenal seafood and their oysters are excellent. We always sit at the bar and there’s a bartender there. His name is Mike and he is terrible. That’s the only reason I give it a three out of five otherwise, this place deserves five out of five for the food ambience it’s great. This guy’s been there for 20 years and he needs to retire.

Had a wonderful time at the Blue Pointe. Seafood was as fresh as can be. Oysters and shrimp cocktail we're terrific. Tried the scallop risotto. Wonderful. Close to Barbara B Mann. Will definitely be back. Only downside was the waiter had a tendency to hover.Food: 5/5

Usually one of our favorite places for something special and service was terrible. Ordered our drinks and we all started ordering dinner. My husband wanted soup and we were sharing paella, some of our party ordered salad to start. Awhile goes by and no soup or salad my husband asked for another drink and asked server if soup was coming before dinner they assured it was. Few minutes later soup & salad served and right behind came our dinner of course we asked why rush server had no answer or even a we are sorry. I guess we will have to try a new special dinner spot. For the money they charge it seems crazy service should be better

Fantastic! The Parmesan crusted flounder was superb--perfectly cooked and flavorful, delicious sauce with capers, 2 good-sized pieces. They allowed me to substitute in Brussels sprouts, which were delicious (but a little sweet for my taste.) The soft rolls were warm and tasty. The entrees came with cole slaw, which was served as a first course. Much better than normal slaw, with lots of flavor. (My parents would prefer it if they made it without onions, but I loved it as is.) We were too full for dessert. All the service was friendly, from the hostess to the waiter to the manager.

Went there last night. Got there 5:30 in time for happy hour 3-6 (good choice) , $5 wines $2.50/ oysters had 3 kinds all delicious! Happy hour Also has good calamari & shrimp cocktail. For dinner the grouper salad or sandwich is good, my friend & I each had cake crab & lobster bisque, I had the crab stuffed avocado & bisque. Unfortunately the bisque was not great, consistency good but lacked taste don't waste your time! For dessert the French toast bread pudding was AMAZING! We also had the crème brûlée & key lime pie definitely not up to par get the bread pudding. Service was great, everything came out fast and we were not rushed. I would definitely go back! There are many yummy looking things on the menu I'd like to try. FYI they give you paper menus & iPad menus that if you touch the selection it shows you a picture of the item & good description,Very helpful !

Service was great and so was the warm bread . The oysters were very gritty. I would look elsewhere for better quality oysters. We ordered the sea bass and lobster roll both dishes were tasty and seemed fresh.

Visited for dinner; first time; reservations for 4 people. Meal was good (though someone at the table had a creme brûlée for dessert that was firm and "dry"; service was slow; and when we questioned why it was taking 20 minutes to get drinks to the table (of 4), our server was flippant, "it takes as long as it takes", she said. She then asked if we wanted to put in an order for appetizers. When we asked when those would be out, she just shrugged her shoulders. Needless to say, we're writing Blue Pointe off our list of recommended restaurants in Fort Myers

I preface this review by saying I majored in Foodservice Admin and worked in the restaurant industry for years, so it takes a a swaying experience for me to leave a review one way or the other and clearly this is glowing ha. The experience started with a phone call with the hostess (Angela or Angie, I apologize I’m not sure which) who was incredibly kind and helpful when making a same day reservation. The hostess when we arrived was also very welcoming and friendly despite being clearly quite busy, she rocked it (evening of 12/29/22, you’re a rockstar). Then our server Zach was of same caliber, expertise knowledge of menu and offerings, personable and warm without being overbearing or pushy… and I have yet to talk about the food which was top notch and delicious across everything we ordered, drinks included. We were thrilled to learn they are a **scratch kitchen** also!! This is definitely our new favorite place and we can’t wait to come back!!

Always great service, and good food. Our server was awesome. We met friends and were very busy chatting and she managed a prefect balance of checking in on us and giving us the space to just chat. As always love their Brussels sprouts, a def must try.Food: 5/5

We went to dinner this evening at your restaurant. 3 of the dinners were excellent. I ordered a steak, because I’m allergic to seafood. When ordering I specifically asked for the steak to be medium/well done. Also as the dish came with asparagus, I asked that they not be served.3 times I had to return this steak as it was dripping with blood. 3 times the plate came with asparagus.worst meal I have ever had - and worst dining experience because of poor communication with the server and the kitchen. We won’t be returning due to incredibly poor food delivery.

Decided to go checkout the HAPPY HOUR which runs from 3:00-6:00pm daily. My wife had the 5 oz Pinot Grigio and I had the red sangria to start off. We ordered the Brussels sprouts for appetizer which was a nice generous portion and very tasty. All entrees come with hot homemade bread and butter, cole slaw w/bleu cheese crumbles. You can also sub the cole slaw for a cup of clam chowder or house salad for an additional charge. For entrees my wife had the shrimp and scallops risotto and I had the Parmesan encrusted North Atlantic flounder with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus with lemon caper beurre blanc. We each ordered another round of drinks, $4 for the wine and $5 for the peach sangria this time. The food was very flavorful and nicely presented on the plate. Our waiter Dale, which was excellent, suggested the French toast bread pudding with pecans, dried cherries, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. Definitely enjoyed his recommendation. Lunch portions are also offered, along with the HAPPY HOUR until 4:00pm.

Excellent Fried Grouper, huge Salmon, delicious Sea Bass. The bread was really special. Service was okay. It took a while to get our food and bill. We sat at an outside table. I prefer crispier sweet potato fries.
