Well I should have known by the price that this was not the nicest of places in the area. We had 2 days of no water from 9am to 2pm. 1 Day of no housekeeping to pick up trash. Plus our bathroom light fell off the wall and there was no one available to fix it for a day. The location is nice and close to food and I75. The staff were friendly.

In my line of work, I stay at a lot of hotels. This is without a doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed in,what I have noticed in. all of the different hotels that I’ve stayed in is that there are no ceiling fans, which would save the hotel, a lot of money, in electricity, instead of running the ACs, most of the time ceiling fan would reduce the use of air conditioning considerably just my opinionNoteworthy details: Ceiling fans would be a nice addition

The room was very spacious and we loved having the full kitchen space as well as a large bathroom. Unfortunately, there was no hot water, not even warm for our showers. Also the water pressure was very weak. Although this is not ideal, it was livable for our short stay. However what bothered me, os that at 8 am while I was sleeping, a housekeeper entered my room without even knocking, or announcing who they were. They saw me there sleeping and said "uh oh" and walked out. After that, I got up and placed on the door latch. About 1 hour later, a man knocked and said "maintenance!" And attempted to open the door at that same moment without waiting for a response if it was okay to enter or not. Thankfully, he was stopped by the security latch.I usually do not complain about things but I feel it is unacceptable to enter someones room without even knocking or saying who you are.

My mom was put here for a work trip and we ended up paying out of pocket to go to the Hilton. When we first drive in it was very clear we (as white people) were the minorities in this situation and we were getting stared up and down. This hotel seemed more residential than anything else. We went to check into a dark dungeon of a lobby were we were “greeted” by Olga. Olga proceeded to give us the instructions and hotel information to switch she stated “we had to flip on our circuit breaker in order to use the power and must turn it off when we leave. We didn’t make it to the elevator before we decided to check out and go elsewhere due to a bad feeling but Olga was refusing to give us back the money we just paid 5 minutes prior and being the only whites people we didn’t want to draw attention to ourselves as we were clearly out of place. Worst hotel ever and one of the worst nightmares to ever deal with when travelingSafety: Dangerous as all heck, dangerous neighborhood, sketchy cars and customers

I don't even know where to begin. I'll start with the room, it smelled like mold/ mildew. I almost left upon checking in because I am pregnant and didn't want to risk exposure to toxic and unsafe conditions. But it was late and I had an early morning for an event to attend. The lobby conditions are unacceptable. Exposed dry wall, no complete walls, no amenities and full on construction site should not be allowed to welcome guests while still under construction. Another unsafe environment. No mention while booking or anywhere on the website that I had seen. And lastly, the front desk made me write down my credit card number which is illegal. I booked with a card. There's no need for a second time and on paper due to internet being down. I express I was not comfortable doing it and she said I didn't have a choice. I should have left at that moment. No ac in the hall way either. Makes it very uncomfortable for a pregnant woman. Overall not happy with my stay and seeking a full refund.

The tv didn't work. When I asked about it was told she new nothing about it and there was no one else there. Things happen but she didnt even apologizes. The room also smelled of smoke which she gave us a spray. They didn't charge for the cat because of the storm, but we couldnt watch the storm. Wont be back.

Convenient to I-75 & central to many places. Hotel was clean, rooms well-kept & the beds comfortable. Seemed like it is an older facility. Water pressure was very low for the duration of our two night stay & we couldn’t get a straight answer from the front desk staff if this was an ongoing situation…my impression is yes, it may be ongoing. The only available ice machine is in the office behind the front desk. “Someone” had turned it off so ice was not available.Rooms: Clean & well-keptSafety: Quiet area, appeared safeWalkability: Not within walking distance of anything but Nova Southern University.Food & drinks: Just available items are small pre-packaged snacks & cold bottled drinks.

Let me just start off by saying .WORST HOTEL EVER..and I am not a complainer. So first off I call before I get there to clarify the deposit amount no answer for over 10 minutes. I get there and the front desk employee was missing and there was a sign that said she stepped out. Ok, cool, no big deal. Once she does arrive back I asked her the amount for the deposit, again no big deal I got an answer. Then I tell her my name on reservation and she can't seem to find my reservation. I show her my email saying it's right here. She then said she had to find it under checked in, and whoever was there before her already checked me in before I even got there. Ok cool so she finds my reservation. And my room is number 422 I get up there and THE ROOM WAS ALREADY OCCUPIED!! it was hot, like the AC was broke, tools were up there things were scattered around like someone was in there fixing things. I walk back down and said I am not staying in that room, someone is already in there. So she's like that's weird. Tries to assign me another room. And then says I don't know why it's not letting me put you in an unoccupied room. So she does some things and assigns me 311. Writes a note to the manager and lets them know the situation with not being able to check me in correctly. So I get up to the room, and I have no complaints on the room itself. They had NO HOT WATER though. Ok fine I just want to go to sleep anyways it's 1230-1 am. So the next morning I hear my room phone ring..I ignored it..then the front desk calls my personal phone and tells me I never paid last night for my room!! Whoever is at the desk now is saying it was refunded!!At 8 am!!! I look at my bank statement and it's still saying its been charged so now they are trying to charge me again!! So anyways I go back to sleep after showing them my statement on my phone..at 10:55 the cleaning lady walks in my room!!! I'm getting ready to leave no knock no nun just walks in. I have to say it's by far the worst experience I've ever had and I travel A LOT AND ALL THE TIME.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was excellent. The second shift front desk person Austin, was the most helpful for anything needed at any time! After being their for three days our fridge stopped working.

No ice machine. No breakfast, microscopic TV. Postage stamp bed and room. Boarder line shabby. I'm surprised this is an IHG property. Wish I had stayed downtown. It was close to the interstate. The young lady at the desk was very nice. Well, I know better next time.

ProsPet friendly (if that's important)ConsSurprise $75 pet fee (for one to seven nights, but if just an overnight - yikes!)Our rug was super filthy, like easily visible signs of dirt. Yeah, that. The place is getting fixed from the hurricane tidal surge, and the staff are nice and professional. But $200+ a night then the pet fee .... and obviously dirty rugs are signs of a distracted or overstretched management team. Try again in a couple years.

Check-in was not hassle free. My husband had booked the room online & included my name on the reservation as I was arriving to the area prior to him. The desk clerk said I could not check in, even though I had the email confirmation with my name as a guest. Finally, my husband, whom I had on the phone, made the suggestion that I put my credit card on the room to hold until he arrived then we would use the one that he had used to book the room. To which the clerk replied, "oh yea we can do that." Really, the customers have to come up with the solution?" The room is way over priced for what you get.OUR ROOM: There was an odd smell in the room. Seriously Candlewood Suites, invest in some Febreze. The fridge in our room made a terrible noise every few hours. The shower drain is slow and you end up standing in an inch of dirty water. There is only a nightstand on one side of the bed. Therefore, I had to lay my glasses on the floor & hope I remembered not to step on them when I got up. The desk chair's "pleather" seat is peeling terribly. Do not make coffee in the room using the tap water; it has a terrible taste.

Boo. The refrigerator was so loud I unplugged it. The bath faucet leaks.the air conditioner soaked my shoes by leaking water inside the room . Likes to fly the American flag without the respect of bringing it down at night; no lights to ilusiones at night. Staff has no empathy.
