Some of the employees there leave much to be desired. I try not to go there unless it’s a big sale to begin with. They do not seem to think highly of their customers. Last few times I was there I heard them in the break room bashing customers. It’s the customers that keep the business going. Also, we all get irked by people at work and it’s ok to vent, but if your going to do that you prob should not be doing it so loud that people can hear you all the way down the hall. To you it maybe a stupid query, but maybe they don’t know. Just answer it and move on and if you’re that miserable at your job quit and find another. Maybe a reason they are all closing customer service is definitely out. In other news if you need fabric try Kay’s quilt shop. They are very nice and helpful there.

They should put a picture of their restroom in their advertising. It’s dehumanizing. I let them know while I was there. The two employees I met were very nice and I appreciate their help, however I will never return. It was a negative reflection on the store and how little Joann’s thinks of the shopping public. Sorry Joann’s, you were always my favorite since the 1970’s (my go to place), for all my sewing needs but your public restroom in the Cleveland Store is shameful.

Plus...70% off pumpkin decorations.
Minuses...1. Bathrooms dirty and not stocked. 2. Most yarn and fabric prices still too high.

I’ve been to this store twice & both times have been horrible. I will drive further to go to a different location at this point. Placed a pickup order yesterday & put it for in store pickup BEFORE I even started driving to the store. Had to wait in a huge line to get my pickup order, not convenient at all, and then the cashier was very rude. She said “they were outside looking for you” and I said oh I had it as in store and she said “you must’ve just done that.” when I did not just do that. Today I was in a rush to grab crochet hooks. I found exactly what I needed but it had the tag that an associate had to help to get it off the hook. I went to the middle section & found no one. Called the store and they said they would send someone to the crochet hooks. I went over and waited and no one showed up. Went back out and found someone and she helped and was polite. Just spent almost half an hour in that store when it should have taken 5.

So disappointed in this store. I waited patiently in line to get fabric cut and finally get to the front of the line only to find only to discover that there isn’t enough fabric on the roll. The girl that was helping was actually VERY RUDE about it. Making the assumption that I could tell how much fabric was on a roll. There were about 5 people behind me that had waited as well so that meant I had to go to the back of the line. She wasn’t even willing to check if there was any more of the fabric in the store simply told me it was on the back wall. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER !

Not only was it hot, but fans and standing AC units were put throughout the building and ineffectively trying to cool it. Lots of supplies though, and very well stocked.

I have not been in a Joann Fabric and Crafts in a few years. I am so happy that the store chain is still around and had most of what I was looking for to help with 2 projects for a reasonable price. The store had fewer items in the space than I had remembered in the past, but other craft stores do not have the sewing craft options that this specialty store has. They had the foam to give new life to a sinking couch cushion. In fact, we will be back when we are ready to improve the other cushions!I was able to purchase the right material to refurbish a cat tower. They may have had the sisal rope, but I had already gotten that from Lowe's. I found just the right shade of blue faux fur to swap out with the brown fur on the rescued from the trash tower. The tower body had been sound, just had been lovingly used by someone else's pets, and needed an update. I even found some cute pom poms to attach with round elastic string to create interactive toys that I had not even been looking to do, but spotted the items on and endcap and it got the creative thinking going! The customer service was excellent, from giving project advice to the checkout process.

My family and I had been discriminated against during our visit to the Fort Myers location. While interacting with the staff, we noticed that we did not receive a friendly greeting. We also encountered difficulties in obtaining the assistance we needed. One of the employees, who later introduced themselves as Leslie, seemed to follow us around the store. Additionally, we noticed two other employees named Gloria and John Anthony, monitoring our movements during our time there. Our family was particularly concerned when Leslie followed my grandmother into the bathroom after hearing a radio broadcast mentioning someone going in there. When I requested to speak with the manager at the front counter, I encountered some challenges. Manager Denise seemed to be occupied with other matters and did not promptly respond to the request. Despite several attempts to get her attention, she did not come forward. As a result, I went back to the department where we noticed the employees following us. At that point, all three employees appeared reluctant to engage with me and attempted to hide their name tags. It is important to address such incidents in order to promote a welcoming environment for everyone, especially considering the diverse community in which this location operates. I hope that appropriate action will be taken to address these concerns and ensure that paying customers are treated with dignity and respect.

Horrible service. Careless, I was told to talk to some "jody" about my problem... I expected a woman, there comes a very short guy, presenting himself as "jody"... He was clueless however... Then, a "jazamyn" a woman looking like a caveman with tangled hair, and since she was so unkempt, I didn't expect her to have any brain and ability to help me... and of course she didn't help... Stores like this one should not even exist. Since the incident with Joann Fabrics, I order everything from online stores. It is cheaper and more efficient too. At least I don't have to deal with intelligence deficient, clueless, and unkempt staff that represents the nationwide Joann Fabric and Craft stores.
