They have been incredibly helpful over the 20 years I've been going there. I have adopted several dogs, and taken strays in.

This shelter is horribly ran and enjoys killing animals for the smallest reasons. They have an American bulldog that they are making rescue only due to biting the leash which isn’t a sign of aggression or anything yet this shelter looks for the smallest reason they can to kill animals by putting them rescue only since most rescues are full or struggling to find fosters for pets . If you work for this shelter and partake in the senseless slaughter of innocent animals I hope karma strikes you hard

Great people are so friendly. My mother n law passed, and we live 5 hrs away. They stayed in contact with us and kept him until we could get there to claim him. They had some wonderful pets that needed adoption. Nice clean and organized facility.

A beautiful shelter with some very sweet friends in there looking for homes. I'm allergic to cats so we didn't look at the kitty section but the dog area while of course loud (I personally get overwhelmed very easily, so I brought headphones to help with the noise) the areas were well kept and clean, minus a few excited pee pee accidents. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. If you're looking for a new friend, please consider this shelter!

A wonderful place where living animals are treated with respect and kindness. The staff is warm. The pooches and kitties are healthy and diverse. We're looking into being weekend warriors, letting some dogs out for a weekend or a couple of weeks.

Staff and volunteers will stalk and doxx you for surrendering a dog you can no longer take care of, act holier than thou but they won't adopt the dog you are surrendering. This happened to a friend a while back, they were doxxed and harassed on socials after employees and volunteers found them on Facebook. This all after the employees and volunteers made them cry after surrendering their dog. They had already explained they could no longer care for the dog, tried rehoming and no one would adopt him. Do not support this place as they are horrible horrible people.

I had to surrender my neighbor's cat due to neglect and there was nothing they could do for him but recommend euthanasia. He was such a sweet cat if there was anyway to save him, we would have paid to do it. After I surrender him, the vet tech took him back and told me he was eating. What kind people to take this starving cat and at least make sure he eats before he leaves this world.. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I am with SCBR and picked up Spot to get him to a vet and ready for adoption. They had him out very fast and he didn't want to go. Thank you LCDAS for being there when needed. Pets are being dumped and they pick up and do the best they can. Adopters life changes, marriage, babies, moves, job change, your pet goes through changes with you, they can handle it please make sure you can.

We took in a trap and release (tnr) that they told us over to bring in any time. They would evaluate fix and give back to us to live his life. We got there and they said the program was no longer and they could euthanize him. I was appalled of how hard she was. My neighbor found a kitten stuck in the attic he called Lee County and they told him they could euthanize the kitten. Shame in you Lee County.

I wouldn't come here ever again. I would give them a 0-10 rate. The people were rude nasty people.

I was there for business but my experience is that it’s easy to get to. Which if you didn’t know there is a back entrance that is not off 6-mile Cypress. The entry was very clean, when I spoke to the front desk ladies they were pleasant.

We were there because our son's friend who promised and should have taken care of our per rabbit Fiona, our baby, didn't do his job, neglected to give her food and water and she therefore died a miserable death. We found her heavily decomposed and stuck to her litterbox when we came home after a trip out-of-state. We were at the place for an official report because Fiona's doctor and her cremator sent us there. Sad that you simply cannot trust anyone these days, not even so-called "friends". Neglect on the highest level... The people at the Lee county animal shelter took care of the report and were nice and friendly.
