Went to this school for the full 4 years and never had a problem the teachers suck but don't most teachers we all have teachers we don't like. Anyone rating this school lower then 2 stars is a parent that couldn't keep their child under control and blames the school for their poor parenting skills. This school had so much to offer when I was there I don't understand how it could go down the drain in a matter of a two-three years the only explanation is y'all don't watch y'all kids and they are the reason this place is "so bad". Stop crying about it and get your kids in line.

My son used drugs for the first time in his life AT RIVERDALE HS. He also lost his virginity right there on campus. You make your own judgement call. That was his freshmen year. He no longer attends this trashy school with no supervision.

If I could rate lower than 1 star I would. Staff could are less about students. Teachers blatantly giving students wrong grades, no emails answered and all staff is extremely rude.

Everytime my brother came home from this "school", he looked dead. He looked like someone sucked the existence out of him. I am not afraid of schools because i know that the bullies at schools are pathetic cowards that think they are "The s**** and that think they're all good and crap, and the teachers really couldn't give less of dog's arsehole to keep your grade up from at LEAST a D-, and i know that the counselors have, like, no idea what they are doing, and there are racist pieces of s*** everywhere (if i wanted to be called a cracker everyday, 24/7, i would absolutely go to this wretched s*** of a school), there are fights everywhere and at anytime you could see a wwe fight in the middle of the halls with two idiots looking like the tower of pisa's, leaning all the way back... OH and i know that there are people that would smoke weed and do shrooms in the bathrooms, oh and talking about students most of them lie and say there your friends and would smile and say those words while slitting your throat, so i don't try mingling. I become invisible at every school i've been to. Riverdale, your lucky i cant just take a s*** in my hand and hand over to you, saying "here's my rating".

It's a Great Day to be a Raider! But also remember, success is a choice. Stay classy my guys, because Mr. Grinstead just being in this school is enough to get a 5 star rating from me. #Grinstead4President2020

Riverdale High School is known as the most "Redneck" and "trashy" school in Fort Myers. Before I began attending the school, I would rush to defend it because I had family friends that were alumni. Now I realize that I should have listened to what everyone said. If there is anything different about you, that the majorly conservative student body cannot relate to, you get casted out into the minority. During any passing period, you can almost always see someone getting harassed in the hallways. Rarely do you see teachers or staff getting involved. Rarely do you see teachers or staff who are genuinely invested in helping the students they teach. The only thing they care about is a paycheck. There are very few exceptions, Mr. Grinstead, Mr. Collins, Mrs. Ludwig, Mrs. Budmayr, and Mr. Johnson being some of those. It's heartbreaking to know the lack of help "gen-ed" students receive, especially those that drop out of the IB program. Once they've left the program, they're almost immediately forgotten by the IB counselor (if you know, then you know). Requesting a meeting with a counselor becomes almost impossible. It seems like these counselors don't know what they're doing anyways, as they've taken to having teachers do their job for them. No students feel comfortable going to their counselors with bullying, depression, or even a schedule change. The minute anything is said relating towards depression, the best they can do is threaten to send their students to SalusCare. Many students have experienced this. If you can boast about your degrees in counseling or psychology, then the least you could do is use them. No wonder there are so many seniors who don't show up! At Riverdale, it's not a case of "senioritis," it's a case of never being taught the importance of a school graduation or giving students the encouragement they need to seek more than a high school degree. No wonder so many kids are sitting in E2020 classes. Riverdale isn't a real school, it's more like a juvenile detention center. You can't hide behind the "IB World School," label forever. Anyways:YeeYee

As a wise man once said here, "YeeYee"To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine dayHardly spoke to folks around him, didn't have too much to say,No one dared to ask his business, no one dared to make a slipThe stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip,Big iron on his hipIt was early in the morning when he rode into the townHe came riding from the south side, slowly lookin' all around"He's an outlaw loose and runnin'", came a whisper from each lip"And he's here to do some business with a big iron on his hip,Big iron on his hip"In this town there lived an outlaw by the name of Texas RedMany men had tried to take him and that many men were deadHe was vicious and a killer, though a youth of twenty fourAnd the notches on his pistol numbered one and nineteen more,One and nineteen moreNow the stranger started talkin' made it plain to folks aroundWas an Arizonia ranger, wouldn't be too long in townHe was here to take an outlaw back alive or maybe deadAnd he said it didn't matter that he was after Texas Red,After Texas RedWasn't long before this story was relayed to Texas RedBut the outlaw didn't worry, men who tried before were deadTwenty men had tried to take him, twenty men had made a slip,Twenty one would be the ranger with the big iron on his hip,Big iron on his hipNow the morning passed so quickly and it was time for them to meetIt was twenty past eleven when they rode out in the streetFolks were watchin' from their windows,Every body held their breath,They knew this handsome ranger was about to meet his death,About to meet his deathThere was twenty feet between themWhen they stopped to make their playAnd the swiftness of the Ranger still talked about todayTexas Red had not cleared leather when a bullet fairly rippedAnd the ranger's aim was deadly, with the big iron on his hip,Big iron on his hipIt was over in a moment and the crowd all gathered 'roundThere before them lay the body of the outlaw on the groundOh, he might have went on livin' but he made one fatal slipWhen he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip,Big iron on his hipBig iron, big iron,Oh he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip,Big iron on his hip

This overall environment of this school is honestly absolute garbage. Teachers and staff seem to care more about their personal finances of just getting up everyday and teaching just to get paid rather than actually caring about the students. Learning material is taught to the students once just to get it finished with, and students are to be expected to move on and understand it. The teachers put no effort into attempting to get the students to understand it. There are various instances everyday where a student may show up to school obviously and very dangerously under the influence of drugs and or another type of illegal substance and the teachers fail to do anything about knowingly they are indeed under influence, but yet continue to home about it and let it slide, which is abolutelty wrong and inexcusable. Drug use is beyond just a common activity among students and no proper action has been done to prevent or stop it. A priority of a school should be a learning ground rather than somewhere students go to only socialize with peers and get into life wrecking dangerous habits. Staff also do not take into consideration the inconveinient structural design of the parking lot, enabling students to be late due to the cause of traffic within the lot, preventing the students from getting out of the car and getting to destination on time when arriving on school property at the set time limit. I highly suggest choosing another school for your child if you're thinking of moving in the area and sending them to his one.
