My mother, now 98, has been a resident for over 15 years. Independent and assisted living were ok. Skilled nursing a disorganized mess and this is where the resident needs the most help. On our most recent visit she looked like a refugee with unwashed hair and face, soiled clothes and a very sad countenance. I would not put my dog in this place.

Vaporware.. A dollar and a dream. Over rated apartment rental. Aged infrastructure with "some" sub communities having all the charm of a slum like tenement.

some very friendly people, but you have a lot of people not follow speed limits going way under or way to fast. you have a lot of older people standing in the middle of the roads while trying to drive past and they refuse to move and make you sit there while they talk. other then that beautiful area

we usually start about 7-10 minutes early then our start time for our shifts just a hidden courtesy there are three shifts 7-3pm 3-11pm and 11-7am with the night shift getting 2.00 extra because they can't find help for these shifts. My shift was either the 7-3 or 3-11 general rule of thumb if you work the 7-3pm you would be walking on egg shells haha all of the upper management have there eyes on you, because they our there sitting in there office's or driving around acting like they are working but in reality there checking to see if your making there job easier don't ever go too them with a problem because you just might find yourself on the unemployment line like myself.

Everyone Is always very friendly when we go visit family there. They were a tremendous help during a difficult time. Beautiful views. Everyone seems to be a close within the community. Helping one another. The restaurant food and service was excellent. Staff knows the people and not just another number to them which makes it feel more like a huge family. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a retirement community.

Made a reservation online for the restaurant in the woodlands (palm grill) for table for 2. Get confirmation and everything. We arrive at the restaurant and they ask our name, I tell them and they don't have it. I showed them the email, she says oh we don't do reservations online. I said ok well we need a table for 2. Sorry we are full, I'm like I see empty tables. Yes those are for people that have reservations. I see I wasn't getting anywhere with this older woman, so she goes away and comes back we can sit u outside, I said what about the no serums, she was unaware of what those were. So we go outside and get the menus and wait and wait, 2 baskets of bread where served before the server came, I ordered an Arnold Palmer what arrived was just unsweet tea, I asked if she had forgotten the lemonade and she says snotty, well we ran out of lemonade. Okay my mom ordered a meal with Caesar salad and anchovies. Salad came with no anchovies and the woman took back and said she would fix it. Okay meal comes, steaks aren't cooked to temperature and have no flavor. And I asked when her salad may come back she argued with us said she brought it and hadn't. So she has an attitude again Im done with u I'm going for the manager, ok so out comes the chef, he tells us their is no manager tonight and he wanted the story from the beginning, so I tell him from the reservation part, and he said oh only the manager can check those online reservations and since she wasn't their. Then we tell him about the dirty vegetables and steak not cooked or seasoned right. He tells us the steaks r cry o vacted and basically boiled in a bag of seasoning. This place used to be top of our list to eat. Oh well. And you need to open back up the clubhouse it was great food at great prices and the view was awesome

My significant other and I showed up to take our morning walk around the facility and get a feel for the community, as this was a strong possibility for housing for my parents. Due to recent events with their property as a result of Hurricane Ian, we have been researching new communities for them.Upon our arrival, we pulled into the parking lot for the Welcome Center with posted guest parking sighs. There were no signs entitled "Employee Only Parking" "Private Parking" or anything along these lines. As soon as we parked our vehicle, we were met by a very rude employee of Shell Point, who immediately told us that he "hoped we would not be here long". I could not believe that an employee of this community would have the audacity to say that to anyone, especially those who were considering in investing in a property. After a few minutes of rude comments to us, the executive decision was made to leave, as we had been made to feel unwelcome, and felt as if we were in the wrong... for walking around a community. If we were met with complete disrespect within seconds of our arrival, I cannot imagine how community members are treated by the staff here. I am saddened that I ever even considered placing my parents in this community. Steer clear, unless you want to be disrespected and made to feel unwelcome in what is supposed to be a very welcoming community.

Was rudely met with an employee from their second story office window at the welcome center who was shouting at me after parking in the guest parking lot. My intentions were to walk around and inquire about the facility for relatives. The man stated that he hoped I would not be here long because he had employees arriving soon who needed to park there. I immediately left and are no longer considering this community for my relatives.

I thought that my mom was transferred here for rehab from another nursing home in the area. I called the admissions woman and left a very detailed message. As it turned out, she was not accepted. The woman, however, decided not to call me back. I went to the other facility to find out that she was NOT being admitted there. I think a polite polite thing would have been to call back. That would have been appropriate.
