Words cannot express the glory of this place. If I lived in Florida, I’d probably come once a week, and even work part time hours here. This is more than a tourist attraction. It’s a home. A home for our nation. One of my regrets in life is I was married in Peoria, Illinois, not the shell factory. Simply unreal they make all their shells in-house. I’d pay 20% more for anything from here. My family literally took our Christmas photos here. Shell yeah!

This is the Shell Factory shop in the RSW Airport Terminal. They have a decent selection of tourist gifts to bring home if you are anything like me and didn't pick up some of your travel gifts while enjoying the Sun and beaches of Southwest Florida. It does seem to cost more than if you bought it from the shops on the beach or at The Shell Factory.

This was our second visit to The Shell Factory. The nature center is great, and my kids always love it. Some of it is a little run down, but for the price and everything they offer it is definitely worth a stop by. You could spend a whole day there.

Definitely a tourist trap. We asked if the shells and sea stars are sustainably harvested and were told they have no idea. There may be more ethical places to purchase.

Typical airport souvenir shop. Shirts, hats, coffee cups, trinkets, and all the usual stuff.
