🚨 21 BUSINESS DAYS DELIVERY – SCAM TACTICS, FAKE NAMES, HIDDEN FEES, AND RUDE BEHAVIOR 🚨
My experience with Seal Pack Van Lines has been absolutely awful. I booked my move through a company called 3 Brothers Moving, but on the day of pickup, a completely different company (Seal Pack) showed up in a Penske rental truck, no company markings, no warning, no explanation. This was a bait-and-switch, and I was never told a third-party carrier would be involved.
From the moment they arrived, the extra fees started piling up. They charged for wrapping my TV and wall art without informing me first, and even though they claimed they would disassemble large furniture, they didn’t instead, they packed everything whole, using up more truck space just to justify charging more.
Then came the $300 charge just because my new home has a flight of stairs again, not disclosed upfront.
What started as a reasonable quote quickly ballooned by over $3,000, and they would not deliver unless I agreed to pay even more. Now they are demanding an extra $800 to deliver my belongings but only if I pay by cash, Zelle, or money order. They refuse to accept credit cards a clear sign they are avoiding payment tracking and accountability.
After pickup, I was shocked to receive an email saying delivery could take up to 21 BUSINESS DAYS from my preferred delivery date. This was never disclosed before they loaded my belongings. When I raised concern, they claimed it was “DOT guideline” a lie. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) does not mandate such long delivery windows without upfront disclosure.
To make matters worse, their staff is consistently rude, aggressive, and unprofessional over the phone. I’ve been passed around between multiple people using fake names no one takes accountability, and every call ends with more confusion and frustration.
I’ve filed complaints with the FMCSA, state attorney generals, and BBB. This company uses every known tactic in the “hostage moving scam” playbook: bait-and-switch brokers, fake names, unapproved charges, payment in untraceable forms, and threats to withhold your belongings.
🚫 DO NOT trust this company.
🚫 DO NOT fall for their “too good to be true” quotes.
🚫 DO NOT pay anything without demanding written proof.
They should be investigated and shut down.

I used this company from my move from Milwaukee to Chicago and cannot express how terrible the service was. The move was late by a whole day (scheduled for Saturday and did not arrive until Sunday) and informed me on Saturday. Then on the day of the move (of which he was still late) he proceeds to charge me more for additional space in the truck because the original quote was insufficient despite Seal Van calling earlier to confirm inventory. Not to mention he charged me a long carry fee of $400 dollars ($300 in Milwaukee and $100 in Chicago). For anyone who is unaware a long carry fee is a charge for movers to walk your hallways between the truck and apartment. Similarly, I was not his only delivery on Sunday and I had to explain to him that he should deliver my goods first before moving onto his next stop (Missouri).
These guys are the worst movers I’ve ever used and would caution anyone from using them ever.

Drivers were rude. The first driver when he came to pick up my furniture said I needed to give him 2000 more for what I had. I left 3 pieces so that I could stay within my price range. They threw boxes into the truck. I was missing three boxes. The driver found 2 so I am now missing one box. The company doesn't seem to care.
The driver was not good to his helpers. One walked out on the job.

Driver Jordan Lopez scammed on additional cost when picking up my 19 year old daughters items from MI going to CO. Example: we were estimated 200 cubic sq feet on all the items she had listed for moving. Jordan arrives and said there are an additional 85sq ft added. That $4.75 per additional cubic sq foot. $404 add on.Then wrote down it was over 75 ft from the truck to my daughter's living room. So the was additional charge $100. We measured 41 feet.
Charged for shuttle additional $500 which no shuttle was ever needed. Get a call & text by driver two weeks later ...(Hello Malia . This is your delivery driver . I will arrive Tomorrow Wednesday 11-12 afternoon). It is now 1:09 PM and still no delivery and I'm late for work. All around it's costing $2635 after all said and done. But was quoted $1533 in the beginning. It's cheaper to rent a pod and less stressful.

I have not used this company’s service, but encountered one of their trucks on the road the other day.I was driving on 295, going 75mph in the middle lane. There was a box truck in the slow lane. A Seal Truck pulled up behind me and tailgated me. After we got past the box truck in the slow lane, the Seal driver switched to the slow lane, sped up next to me, and blew his horn for a few seconds. He then proceeded to continue driving fast, weaving in and out of traffic without his turn signal. I have emailed the company about this incidence.Definitely does not make me want to recommend this company. Aggressive drivers transporting your valuables irresponsibly.

These movers came here to deliver someone’s possessions and then decided to after delivery, to damage other neighbor’s property. They also decided to make fun of what they did to another neighbor. These movers are troublemakers and they behave like troubled individuals. Their bosses are not the nicest people at all in the sense that they poke fun at your problem. Try someone else before because these guys will make your first day in a new neighborhood bad because they create problems with your new neighbors.

Horrible drivers and horrible owner! This moving company moved in our neighbor. We live on a street that is not zoned for truck traffic and they drove their semi truck down our street ripping the electrical wire from our house. The driver then drove off, leaving the live sparking wire in the street! When I called Harold Seal he said "that happens all the time". Excuse me! You rip down electrical wires "all the time"! He tried to say that the electrical company was responsible. This was not the case. We cited several Louisiana laws that showed the truck legally was not allowed on the street and that even if it was the driver of the truck would be responsible if they hit any lines. We fought for two months to get him to pay for the damage caused by his driver. It was not until we actually filled out the form to file in small claims court that he decided to pay up. He knew that the law was clearly not in his favor and that he would lose.
