The staff at this location is spectacular!!! Everyone went above and beyond our expectations. From Crystal Farrar at the cafe to Joe our favorite bartender took incredible care of us during of 25th wedding anniversary trip! Crystal waited on us every morning greeting us with her beautiful smile and positive attitude. Joe took great care of us in the evenings. He makes the best drinks and makes the environment fun and enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back in a few months. Choosing the Holiday Inn was the best choice! Holiday Inn, your employees at this location are top notch in every department. Everyone is so nice at the front desk. See you soon! Best wishes!Food & drinks: The breakfast buffet is wonderful with something for everyone. The drinks were great every night.

We liked it. Nice room with one of the best beds we've ever slept in, very comfortable, hotel is well-maintained, clean and sparkling. Good luck getting the television to work though.

I booked with Expedia, the room itself was great! Beautiful view of the ocean. I was however unable to see the sunrise from my ocean view but the view was still beautiful! The problem lies in the fact I paid in full through Expedia then the hotel turned around and billed my credit card (they said they needed the card on file for incidentals, normal practice) but they billed my card for some of what I had already paid. When I called them I got the run around and still have not recieved a refund for being double billed. I recommend only booking here if you are ok being double billed. While the views are nice, there are other hotels in the vicinity that are competent enough to not double bill their clients.

Construction noises all day and into the night. We were there in January 2024. Definitely call to determine if they are still banging and jack hammering on the floors above you before you decide to stay here. The flight attendants were fit to be tied trying to get sleep after flying all night.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort in Fort Walton Beach and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is located right on the beach, with stunning views and easy access to the water. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel's amenities, including the pool and on-site restaurant, were excellent. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a beachfront getaway.

The cook was terrible his attitude was horrible when the waitress asked him if he could fix it we could literally hear him throwing a fit in theBack cooking area was so much profanity it was very unprofessional I guess because it was 20 minutes till closing and we have small children that had to hear that and the little girl that was waiting on us she kept trying to apologize and it wasn't her fault and I feel sorry for her the and the whole staff that to have to work with a violent disrespectful person. But other than that the rooms were great and the rest of the staff was awesome we stay here every year and would like to continue but I don't know if we want to have to put our children through that again just to grab dinnerFood & drinks: The bartender she was great the cook was terrible with a terrible attitude used profanity in front of my children and threw a fit because we was 20 minutes till closing when and the poor little waitress that was serving us I felt so sorry for her and the rest of his staff and he did not want to remake the food that he had messed up

Spend there both Christmas and New years with my family and had a wonderful time. The food is delicious, the staff is kind and helpful. The only thing is that you need to let front desk now if you want housekeeping to clean your room every day, otherwise you'll be back to a messy room. Our room had a great view of both the pool and the beach. The room have a balcony so it's great for morning coffee while watching the view. Also, we saw dolphins! The location is great, you have plenty of things to do around, everyrhing is short drive distance.

Amazing staff and calm, peaceful atmosphere. Location and view from my beachfront room were perfection! Hotel is in the process of getting a much needed facelift. Once the rooms are updated this hotel will be a winner in every way!Huge parking lot is a big plus during tourist season.Numerous restaurants & shops within walking distance.Perfect location is close to both Destin and Ft. Walton Beach.

My stay was ok. Unfortunately the rooms can use a little sprucing up, however the staff is amazing and will take care of you. The location is absolutely amazing.

The reason for the 5 stars is the staff: super duper accommodating and genuinely wanted to help! Breakfast was awesome. Great price point and location. Special shout out to Troy who helped us with check in !

We have never had a worse hotel experience than the one we experienced here. We have been coming to this location for nearly ten years and this will be our last trip. Upon check in, we were greeted by a person who didn’t know how to check us in and could not provide us room details. When we finally made it to our room, we found a broken fridge, a broken clock, a clogged toilet, a broken bathroom light, a broken exhaust fan, and an unclean environment. When I called to ask for the room next door, we were told by Dane that that room was unavailable and that it was currently occupied. We later found out he lied to us. The next agent, Jackie, told us it was available and we could move in there. We had to wait nearly 20 minutes to be moved to a new room, since the front desk agent was busy checking in other people, presumably to other dirty rooms. Three days later, the other party we traveled with had to move rooms as well. The next day, we went down to the restaurant and bar. The sign on the TV states that the bar is open from 2-10pm. Sandy, the lady behind the desk, said the bartender would not be in until 4pm. We walked outside to the pool and hot tub, only to discover a freezing cold, broken hot tub. We were never told the hot tub was broken. This is the second year in a row that the hot tub has been broken. We had to call five days in a row for housekeeping to come and each time we were told they didn’t speak English. We ran out of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, and toilet paper during our stay. The last night we were there, we requested housekeeping to come since they had skipped our room, yet again. When we called down to voice our frustration about housekeeping not coming, Troy hung up on us. Then, the front desk would not answer our call. Is that hospitality to you? When she finally made her way to our room, she knocked over all of my personal items, sprayed bleach everywhere, and didn’t restock any of the things we had requested. She had to come a second time to take care of the rest of the tasks. We then ordered dinner, which the restaurant got wrong. Not sure if anyone else enjoys a raw burger than was ordered well done, but biting into that made us all sick. When we ate at the restaurant previously, servers dragged their sleeves through our food and reached directly in front of our faces to hand drinks and food, instead of walking around to each person. This was incredibly unprofessional. This was the theme of our trip: disrespectful and unprofessional. All in all, we will NEVER stay here again. We had two upcoming trips, both of which have been cancelled. Unless you enjoy paying hundreds per night for horrible service, a terrible accommodation, and disrespectful customer service, I would steer clear of this hotel. They should be ashamed to call it a resort, as we would’ve been better off staying at the Motel 6.*It also appears that this hotel is not an iHG hotel anymore. It is owned by Emerald Breeze Resort and managed by Innisfree Hotels. We will also be steering clear of any properties involved with these two companies in the future.

For a HI Resort I give it a thumbs down ?I reserved the king suite with bunks and it was nothing special. You would expect a nice coffee bar in a suite and they just had a small keurig under the tv on a plastic tray which you couldn’t even see to use and then just a couple small styrofoam cups, a real disgrace to call it a resort suite. The room was old and dated. The shower/tub had old mildew stains and globs of caulk where they tried to cover it up. The door to the patio was missing the original lock and they just left the big hole and added a new one up higher. There are no USB charging ports in the room. I had to call front desk because the room was suffocating, no cold air even tho I had the temp on 64.Front desk staff was very friendly and 1 girl in the dining area but the housekeeping staff not friendly at all. Said hello to several of them in the halls and elevator and not one of them even acknowledged me. One staff guy even held the elevator door open for a while to talk to a co worker leaving me standing there and said nothing to me.The food at breakfast @ $16.99pp was just ok, just a (very) small step up from a free HI Express breakfast. There is no help yourself to coffee tea orange juice or anything to drink ughhh. Really! The pool looked nice and it is located on the beach. But I didn’t use them because it’s December and a ghost town.I don’t recommend this place if you’re looking for fancy, they shouldn’t be allowed to have the word resort in their name …save yourself, it’s not worth the money I paid.
