Sarah here. As a former dancer, current dance teacher and lifelong workout fan, I highly recommend Shari's Mindful Pilates. Shari is an excellent model of health, her expertise is clear, and she is a very generous teacher. She considers each of her students' abilities and limitations, and truly wants to help every student. I love her cues, energy and classes!

I'm new to pilates, but already loving it after only a few classes. It's not strenuous like some other forms of exercise, but I definitely feel it a day or two later. Shari and Erin have both been great instructors, helping me correct my form and feel like I'm really getting the most out of my work out. It's been a fun addition to my weekly routine as I try to become more active and healthy.

I discovered this studio after retiring to the area. Love the teachers and small group classes. My body is changing with each class and I attribute the changes to my efforts in class. This is truly the exercise/activity I’ve been looking for all my life... I love Pilates thanks to this place! Come join us... what are you waiting for?

I discovered Mindful Pilates a little over a month ago and I am hooked. This is my first reformer Pilates experience and it is amazing the benefits I am seeing in a short period of time. Shari is an amazingly patient instructor and a wonderful support who immediately puts you at ease, no matter your fitness level. The peaceful studio is the perfect backdrop and Shari is so accommodating.

I've found Mrs. Sharon to be very encouraging and helpful! There are class options for adults as well as young dance students, so ballet girls can work with others their age. It's easy to schedule or reschedule classes when needed. What I appreciate most is the personal and profession interaction she has with her students. Mrs. Allen is a dancer and knows what her students need. Love the results! Highly recommend!

I take Pilates class with Sharon every time I visit Fort Walton. Her classes are fun, challenging, full of energy and Sharon is always welcoming and friendly. The community is so lucky to have such a knowledgable and well-trained instructor right in their downtown area. The Mindful Pilates studio is in a beautiful location and Sharon's space allows the students to feel relaxed and comfortable to work at a deeper level to achieve great results.

There aren't enough great things that I can say about Sharon. I've been taking classes all over trying to find something that sticks since I moved to the emerald coast. It wasn't Zumba (too sexy for my silly self), it wasn't yoga (too competitive), and it wasn't ballet (stressed me out!). Sharon's class is this Kat's meow! Sharon is the kind of instructor that A- learns your name, B- encourages you, C- pushes you, and D- is actually really damn good at what she does. She's über professional, and has a great deal of knowledge about pilates, the history of pilates, and how to maximize the benefits of pilates for every single level. If you're a beginner she will show you easier levels so that you can still get a stretch, and some benefit without having to 'sit this one out'. If you're really advanced she will push you even harder. If you're even thinking about pilates I suggest you check Sharon out ASAP. Not only will pilates change your body and your life, Sharon will be there every step of the way to make sure you're doing it correctly.
