stuck here all day while they go through our Jeep after they dropped the ball the last appointment. The music is so loud in the waiting room that it’s painful. They can’t turn it down in the show room. It’s set at corporate office!!!. They don’t trust their own employees with the radio volume. Crazy.

Having used the FWB and Crestview locations for years I do not like having to deal with this company regarding service. It was much better before they bought out the previous company or when they 1st got started. 1st they are unapologetically slow on service. Crestview location is better only because there are not rude on top of being slow and seem to care to try. There is no such thing as express lane for oil changes etc. anymore everything is a 3 hour wait even with an appointment. You would think with the facilities they have in this area the service or atleast the customer service would be better. Especially for FWB location. I shouldn’t feel the need to go to Pepboys or someplace to get service and reasonable customer service on a brand new vehicle.

Wow, service dept. is worthless. Well, maybe if you buy their product , you might have a dif. ExperienceI bought a Ford F150 off their used lot…. They don’t service Fords…. Not even the problem I discover that they would have fix or else I would have walk away from purchase. So, yea… look at another dealer !

Questionable business practices. I was told their bank had a better rate than mine. Of course it ended up being higher. I asked Rodger the sales guy about it, he told me too bad you can just refinance later. I've never had a good feeling about Stepone previously wish I would've trusted my gut. They are the reason people don't trust dealerships. I don't go to buy here pay here places for this reason. I probably should they're probably more honest

I purchased a brand new challenger a few months ago from Step One in Fort Walton Beach. Upon working with them the salesman and the team seemed great "but apparently this was a show for the sale". During my negotiations with them on my trade in I was told that they would split the difference in what I was wanting and what they would give me as well as the first service on the new vehicle would be covered. We had already gone back and forth for quite a while as they did not want to honor the $3000 over KBB that was sent to me via email from them. However, I agreed and made the purchase. Today I go in for that service and they did not honor what I was told "Go figure". During the process I asked why I was not given a "We owe you" and I was told there was no need they had put everything in their computer system and I was good to go "Again another lie". On top of this during the service they lost one of my valve stem covers "Which were custom ordered" and tryed to say that it was missing when I dropped the vehicle off. This again was a complete lie as I cleaned the wheels and checked everything the day before and it was not missing. A word to the wise do not purchase from this dealership as they will say whatever and lie to no end to get you to buy from them. On top of that the managers whom one would expect to try to work with you on things such as this do not care at all, and will basically tell you that you are the liar and to deal with it. Worst mistake I ever made was trusting these people and making my purchase through this dealership. They are a prime example of a bunch of crooks!!

I bought a 2015 corvette convertible July 28, 2023 from the Niceville store. At first I thought what a nice car and a great staff. They tried hard to earn my business.. A few minutes before we close my deal I notice a car fax in the file.. I asked for it.. The car had been a theft recovery and nobody was going to share that with me.Then all the sudden the car was available for a considerable discount and promises that the car was perfect and that they would take care of any repairs , etc. And even guarantee me that when I was ready to trade again they would give me full trade in value as though the car never been stolen.Well it’s been over a month. The car spent the first month in the Ft Walton Buick GMC service shop. It finaly came out half way fixed. They fixed something in the transmission but the stereo still functions intermediate when ever it wants to.They told me they putting in a new head unit and never did. Now over a month later I still have a broken stereo. I was told again last week that they ordered the new unit and to bring it in today for install while I wait… Guess what.. I didn’t even have a scheduled appt nor had the parts been ordered..I’ve left Bill Sauls another voice mail today as I understand he’s the owner. At this point… The GM of the Niceville store “Mark Morgan”, Patrick & Greg in service and Bill Sauls “The Owner” have all been notified of the current situation. I just want my car fixed. And something in writing saying they will buy my car back at fair trade value with no discounts for theft recovery when I decide to trade down the road.Or just buy my car back now..This was my dream car… But been the worse car buying experience of my life.Regards,John PrestwoodSaw the generic reply from Step One three hours ago..saying they would call me. LolFYI… Not one single person has attempted to call and resolve this ongoing issue.. BUYER BEWARE..!!!Three more hours later.. lolUpdate.. You should see the monkey show they put you through in corporate.. They know the parts that need to be ordered.. Now they put me on a week out service inspection an hour away for the exact same repair they did twice already supposedly..The service manager told me last week he was ordering a brand new stereo system and that it would be there today and I could wait while installed.. LolNow they jacking me around to be difficult…I guess it’s litigation time..Beware of these shady characters.Buy from a reputable dealer.Trust me.. I wished I had..John PrestwoodOk…. so nothing happened today except the mice blaming the other..Stand by …. for a full daily update in the morning… As I plan to keep the public in the loop to the shady playersOn a daily basis.Look forward to tomorrows post.. ???Good morning…. Sept 19th…Update.. I text the General Manager regarding any updates yesterday after lot closure. Mark Morgan immediately told me not to be texting him.Apparently he sold me a stolen car, promised he would repair it and now won’t take calls or text.BUYER BEWARE….Stand by for next update…?

BUYER BEWARE!!! Do your homework on Step one automotive. They have a D rating by the BBB. They sold my coworker a car with a blown head gasket. After bringing it back they changed the plugs and coil pack and somehow missed the white milky residue on the oil cap and dip stick. Sold her a car that was worth $7200 for $15700. Coworkers fault for signing paperwork but they pushed and hid charges and she was young and naive. BUYER BEWARE!Update. Ask Mr. Gainer (the used car manager) to explain. I came in and confronted him about taking advantage of a young United States Air Force airman. The cars motor had to be rebuilt after bringing it in for a check engine light twice. Ironically we brought the car to the same mechanics that diagnosed the blown head gasket before it was traded in to Step One. Confront him and then we can talk, til then it’s still a D on the BBBUpdate #2Co worker has been calling for a month asking what they will do for her just like the owner response said and NOTHING, crickets! It’s just lip service. I am glad to know 3 people I personally know read this and said they did not buy a vehicle from them. Power of advertising!!!

Have my car under warranty getting worked on by Subaru, they informed me that they have no loaner cars for me to have a vehicle to drive. So I called the step one office and told them this and that I know they have a lot more cars considering they have multiple lots and multiple car brands and they informed me they could not do that and that it had to be a Subaru from the Subaru dealer. This makes no sense , they have multiple business's and more cars then a twelve years olds hot wheel collection. There is no way that they have only 3 to 4 cars to serve the public as loaners. I hope they at least have their own hotel cause I live 50 miles from the dealer and I'm now unable to get home .I was warned about step one before I went with them , and now that I have them, I'm definitely going somewhere else when I trade in. Oh yeah , and it's my Birthday! Happy birthday to me?

Please do not buy used vehicles from these dealerships. I purchased a vehicle from Kia of FWB on June 22 2023. I have drove it a handful of times due to it breaking on me twice. The first time it was an oil leak. Now it’s a possible starter. They have had “my car” for almost four weeks in total. It is now July 27th and they still have it. I got it back for about three days after the first fix and have not seen my car since. They also do not give you all of the documentation you sign while at the dealership. I had to call many people I use to know to get help just to be emailed part of my documentation. still have not received all of it, especially that regarding the Lemon Law and warranty I apparently signed up for. They avoid my calls now. I was Lucky to have the step one dealer close to me working on my car instead of Kia. They have actually tried communicating with me, they have been more kind than Kia. However I still would not purchase a vehicle from any other step-one, sadly I use to adore these dealers. But the way they handle things this go around is sketchy. If you must do business with them use the step one in Andalusia AL! They have been more kind and respectful, so far!

ZERO STARS!!!!!!!! I can’t believe Google even makes you rate at least 1.These people are the worst!!!!!!!!My boyfriend brought his Ram Promaster for an oil change back in January. When he picked It up, It wasn’t 3 days before It broke down. Brought It back to Step One and they said he needed a new motor!!! Fishy right? Well he broke down and allowed them to replace the motor. After more than 10,000 in repairs, he picks up the van and the check engine light is still on and the van is making a horrible squealing noise. They convinced him he also needed new tires which cost him around another 1600 dollars. On pick up, the idiot service advisor tried to give him 4 when he purchased 5 tires. And guess what the tires they tried to give him were defected!!!! Yeah you are reading correctly. Finally got the tire issue straight. Fast forward to June 1st when he left It over there for another service. We come back from Colorado, take the van home for 3 days, and out of nowhere transmission fluid has busted all over the van. Take It back to them to find out that the idiot service tech managed to do the damage. After all was said and done , Jeremy the service advisor (who doesn’t work there now by the way) admitted fault and said they were going to rectify It. Later to also talk to Dan their service manager after I called screaming since they have had the van for two months now. He reassured me my boyfriend would be (in his words) “buttoned up” by Wednesday July 26th. Lies lies and more lies. They have the nerve to call my boyfriend Wednesday to tell him if he wants It fixed he has to pay. Dan even told him well I can give you the employee discount on labor but this repair doesn’t come with any warranty. What a crock! These people are liars, crooks, and scammers. Go there for your repairs and you will be HAD trust me!!!!! They lie, change pricing, renig on promises to fix their mistakes, and do not call you back no matter how many messages you leave. I’m furious right now. With the response we have gotten it makes me feel like They damage cars so they can charge you to fix them. All about their profit never what is ethical. But mark my words, if they think they are gonna get away with this they have another thing coming! They have infuriated the wrong Cajun

I held off on this review for a year now but its happened again and it needs to be said. Both situations, scheduling for maintenance at the GMC and Ram dealerships, my vehicles were not even touched or looked at the first days there. Not even an initial diagnostics. There is a complete disconnect between the service scheduling and the service centers. In the first situation, I had a hybrid that required a specific technician. So one would expect to align the scheduled appointment when that technician wouldn't have another job. No! This time, its brakes. 2 days now and nothings been done.I am more frustrated in the disconnect of the timing of my scheduled appointment and when the work actually starts than anything. Also, now without a vehicle longer when this could have been properly scheduled.

Editing my review due to service issues. Jeff, who sold me my car, was great. There’s a service employee named Jason who is also extremely kind and helpful. However I have to take away a star because I brought my car in over a month ago to get fixed and still don’t have it back. I understand these things take time, but I have called the service department many times and each time I get told the manager will call me to discuss the status of my car. I have to follow up 2-3 times at least to even get a call back from the manager. If this is due to a busy season, hopefully they can catch up on the excess workload and resolve this issue!

Worst car buying experience of my life - If I could have found my car at a different dealership I definitely wouldn't have purchased from Step One. I haven't even owned my car a whole week and have a defect in the vehicle that they aren't willing to repair. They are informing me that I have to pay for the defect. Yes, my car is a used car, but it is still under factory warranty and I expect it to be fixed.I am very unhappy with this whole experience. At this point if I could return the car I would. Very dissatisfied customer.

Do Not purchase a used vehicle from this dealer. I bought a Nissan Armada 7 mths ago and it left me stranded 3 days ago around 11pm. due to battery. I bought this car so that as a single female I wouldn’t have to deal with something like that; I could’ve kept my BMW free and clear and deal with the same issue, not after $39k plus. When I purchased the vehicle, it had over 200 miles over what the contract stated. (BTW) they sold me the wrong car on paper than the one I drove away with, I had to turn around and do the exchange and paperwork and they wanted more money for down payment. Also, it had a sensor on which I was told the wiper’s fluid was low no big deal, well it’s more than that, their main office told me to take it to Nissan but they don’t want to cover for Nissan to fix it (now) it has to be fix in-house ‘if I’m still under warranty’ . What??? They also sold me a “warranty” that included everything, every 3k mi for 36mths or 36000 mi and extended up to 121,241mi you don’t have to worry maintenance cost, tire rotation; look at all the money you’ll be saving (it sounded really good) Now, they’re saying that it only covers oil change, even when the paper says filter, brakes, tire rotation is a plus option. The life of the tires are at 32%. They also said (in the finance dept) that I can take the vehicle anywhere and they send the bill to them and it will all be taken care of. The sales personnel in general are really nice but the manager doesn’t seem to give a flip about customers. This many issues with a recent purchase vehicle which is the 2nd largest investment for most people and a high dollar vehicle shouldn’t be. I called today, lady told me it was above her pay rate, and when the manager called me back, he basically said, he’s not a Nissan dealer, he couldn’t help me, and if I wasn’t the original buyer, I’m out of luck. So here is to you, If you’re not going to stand behind the product that you sell then don’t sell it. For everyone else out there, if you’re not buying a new Kia, don’t buy anything else from this dealer because he also said that if it was a used Kia, he couldn’t help me (not original buyer). Don’t trust anything the sales person tells you. Don’t sign anything you can’t fully read in that little tablet. (Verbally they sell you one thing and on paper is another). Please make sure you inspect the vehicle before sunsets, check your mileage (it affects the warranty) I wonder what the finance company and others would think about financing a vehicle that it actually had more mileage than the dealer reported)??? Check all sensors, do not drive away with any sensor light on. Remember that these people will wash their hands by saying they sold the vehicle ‘as is’ even though they tell you something different. A $40k investment is not something you plan to do every 6-7 moths so choose very wisely where to buy. Please explain to me what $3,300 TWS serv contract is or cover since the only paperwork you gave is maintenance for $1,200. This is separate from Gap. No excuses.
