I had an unpleasant experience with a manager who did not provide his last name. He was short, chubby, and wore glasses. His behavior was unprofessional and rude. He informed me that it was too late to use the restroom, despite my understanding that the store operates 24 hours. After waiting for 30 minutes, I was told to leave the premises. When I requested the contact information of his superior, he claimed to be the boss and stated that he owns all the stores. His attitude and actions were inappropriate, and I would appreciate it if this matter could be addressed.

I am a regular visiting customer at this location, for the record, I am also a local here in the Fort Walton Beach Florida area. I can say I have never had an issue with any of the workers at this establishment, for the most part they are typically nice, and serve exceptional customer service. Well, unfortunately there is one worker by the name of Todd, that I haven’t had the greatest nor positive experience with. Mr. Todd seems to dislike me or have a never ending supply of animosity towards me when I visit this location and I’m genuinely confused as to why. I’m not the type to take things personal, especially in these types of settings, but, I feel targeted at this point. Ex:
A couple of weeks ago I went into this Tom Thumb location after riding a couple of miles on my bike, therefore I was sweating a lot. I went in to grab napkins from the napkin dispenser on the side of the café/ coffee machine area . At that time, I was accompanied by my aunt and she was being assisted by Mr. Todd at Register 2 when I notice he stopped assisting her and turned his attention to me and had a rather uninviting awkward look on his face. It made me feel like I was doing something wrong because he didn’t say anything until my aunt uttered, “why are you staring at him(me) like that, is he bothering you, or did he do something wrong?” Mr. Todd, just said “no” and continued with assisting my aunt. On another occasion I went into this location (05•08•2024), and again it was hot and I had just gotten off of my bike to take a break and get napkins, I grabbed a few of the reusable cloth- like napkins that I’m guessing they use for cleaning tasks, to wipe the sweat off parts of my body that were profusely sweating from the 80 degree weather with humidity we were experiencing. Instead of asking me to hand over those reusable napkins, Mr. Todd took it upon himself to walk over to me and snatch them out of my hands while saying “you can’t use those one’s, they cost to much for you to use them.” Now, we are both grown adults and I can only speak for myself, but I can guess that we are both capable of asking questions and following directions when they are asked or given. Therefore, it upset me that he snatched the napkins from me instead of asking me for them and giving me the chance to hand them over, especially if I was unaware that those napkins were not for customer use. I thought that I could use those particularly because other workers have allowed me to use them in the past. I walked out and went back in. I then walked over to the napkin dispenser where Todd had actively been standing in front of, I said, “excuse me” and he said “what for”, I told him “ I need a few more napkins, what I grabbed wasn’t enough”, he then uttered, “you grabbed enough napkins you can’t have anymore.” Therefore, I walked out and left the store. I felt very disrespected and I did not appreciate his actions. I felt the need to write this review solely for the opportunity to let these events come to light instead of keeping it all in the dark. Beside those unnecessary encounters, Mr. Todd seems to leave his post from behind the counter to closely watch me when I am browsing for items to buy as if I have shown a side of untrustworthiness within the establishment. I can truthfully and accurately say I haven’t committed any crimes or wrongdoing at the Tom Thumb on James Lee so I unfortunately feel uncomfortable when he is working.

Tuesday, August 2, 2022 tonight At around 9:00 a woman is on duty and I came to buy a beer she asked me for my passport I showed it to her and she didn't want to sell me the beer because she told me my passport wasn't American I told him that my passport is good if what he needs is to look at my age and he told me that he was not going to sell me because my passport was not American and he said it in a mocking and racist tone it was my age not my nationality I need contact the manager of this place. i report to. this person for racism

I went here on 10/18/2021 @ 4:18am. I had to use the bathroom because I have a medical condition condition called "ulcerative colitis". The person that was working had an attitude and told me the bathroom floor was wet. I politely told her I'll make sure I don't screw anything up because I know how that feels due to working at a convenient store as well. She then snares back at me saying that means don't use it. I began telling her I had a medical condition and she just blew me off without a care in the world. I've been fighting this disease for about eight years now and I'm kinda irritated about how people don't care about your well-being. This woman working shouldn't be in customer service because she isn't fit for the job. Makes me wonder how many people she treats like this that walks through those doors.
