This place is so good! Very clean space. The whole staff is professional and empathetic. They took very good care of my dog while he went though a luxating patella surgery. Thanks again for taking care of my Zion!

Met Dr Wight today for the first time on a referral. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He took the time to explain to us in easy to understand terms what we needed to know!Additionally, my girl gets super stressed at vet offices. We were put at ease with the environment of the office. The staff was friendly and office was a calm environment for both dog mom and my girl.

My dog has had 2 TPLO surgeries. I would say that the doctor did a grest job, however... Both times 5 months apart, they left staples in her leg. It seems pretty cut and dried to me. Count how many you put in and remove that many. These people cant figure out how to get all the staples out. It caused an infection the first time. Both times multiple trips/time off work/anguish and pain. This is such an easy thing to fix, its simply rediculous.

Dr. Wright and his staff are absolutely amazing. Our dog was very challenging during the recovery of his surgery. The entire staff showed immense compassion and provided proper guidance to get through not only the procedure, but the recovery as well. I can't say enough good things about them.

We were referred to this practice by our usual vet for mass removal/evaluation for our senior dog, Brooklyn. Wow, is an understatement! Dr Wight is simply the best there is. He has helped us navigate a what was a scary situation for us with kindness, compassion and expertise. He is always quick to address any concerns we might have, and has been so patient with our million questions. Our dog, who is very shy loves him too. We know our sweet girl is in the best hands there is, and we could not be more thankful for him and his staff. This area is so lucky to have this practice.

Dr. Wight and the entire team at Veterinary Surgery Service are amazing. From the many preliminary phone calls with lots of questions to set up the appointment, down to the (again) many phone calls post op (with lots more questions), Dr. Wight and his staff were patient, polite, and understanding. We drove down from Chicago for our French Bulldog, Oliver, to have the laser disc ablation surgery. Normally the recovery is relatively quick and easy, however for some reason Oliver’s recovery was not so quick or easy. We visited the office a few extra times after the surgery as Oliver was recovering, and I felt so much more calm and optimistic after seeing and speaking to Dr. Wight. We appreciated Dr. Wight’s additional attention and availability throughout Oliver’s recovery. Oliver is now back to his normal self and doing great. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much to the entire staff for everything!

My sweet whippet had her luxating patella repaired here, and we are about 3 months post surgery. She's back to running and enjoying life again. This clinic was emaculate, peaceful, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the doctor was engaged, reassuring, and confident in his assessments and recommendations. We are so thankful, and would absolutely recommend.

Dr. Vitucci was fantastic! My pup had a severe case of entropia causing little to no visibility. Post surgery he looks great and is running and playing just like the good boy he is! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Wight and his staff. I did ALOT of research and read TONS of reviews before scheduling BOAS surgery for my 3 yr old French Bull dog Chunk. This place does not have one bad review! I was very nervous and had a lot of questions which the staff answered the 3 or 4 times I called before I even scheduled the surgery, they were so friendly and informative and never rushed me off of the phone. Dr. Wight was awesome, he explained everything thoroughly before the surgery and I felt totally comfortable and at ease leaving my Chunk in his hands. Chunk is so much better now and I am so thankful I found this place. I wanted someone who was experienced in this procedure and not just someone who does it once in a while. I found that in Dr. Wight! I highly recommend if anyone is in need of any specialty surgery for their fur baby to look no further than Dr. Wight!

I was very pleased with this clinic. Dr. Wight is highly qualified and empathetic. It was very important to him that I be fully informed and he spent a great deal of time with me to ensure that. Even when the bad news came back, he helped me to process it and I never had an doubt that my dog (and I) were in loving, capable hands.

I am not one for writing very many reviews but I think everyone should know what I experienced while bringing my little dog Clyde into Veterinary Surgery Service. Clyde was scheduled for an ultrasound with a fine needle aspiration of the liver. Clyde was checked in and not long after was taken to the back for the procedure.Minutes later a staff member told me that Doctor Wight would like me to come into the procedure room so I could see what he was viewing on the screen while performing the ultrasound….Let me just tell you what I saw in that room really blew me away, I couldn’t believe my eyes. There were 4 staff members around my dog ( not because he was acting up) but because they were trying to make him feel comfortable and that everything was okay. They were working as a team, one staff member was at Clyde’s head consoling him while another was at his feet and two petting him and talking to him soft and sweet at his side. I am so glad that I witnessed what I saw when walking into that room, and I really think you will be too. How many times have we taken our furry little loved ones somewhere and as they are led behind closed doors we can only hope they will be treated with the same love and compassion, we feel towards them. Well I have witnessed with my own eyes that is exactly what happens when you take your pet to Dr. Wight and his team of staff members at Veterinary Surgery Service. You can rest assured your pet is in good hands. And they really know their business. ?

Recently our 13-year-old dachshund was diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism. The parathyroid glands regulate the blood calcium levels and overactive glands cause high calcium levels (Hypercalcemia). This can be harmful to the kidneys, nervous and cardiovascular system. High calcium levels may also bring on gastrointestinal problems, acute renal failure, coma, and even death if not treated. The preferred treatment for this is the surgical removal of the overactive parathyroid gland. A dog has four glands and can live with only one. However, we soon discovered that the average veterinarian is not comfortable attempting this type of surgery. After researching various veterinarian surgical clinics, we discovered “Veterinary Surgery Services” in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Ironically, another family member who lives in the area had the same exact issue with her dog, who was successfully treated at this facility. After hearing her testimony and reading all the “5” star reviews, we decided to make the 4½ hour drive and take our pet to Veterinary Surgery Services. From our initial phone call to the clinic to the final check-up visit before heading home we could not have asked for a more professional and caring experience.Dr. Vitucci performed the surgery on our pet. But before the surgery was scheduled, he conducted an ultrasound and CT scan to identify exactly which parathyroid needed removal. Once the scans were analyzed, the surgery was scheduled for early the following week.We could not be happier or more pleased with the outcome. Dr. Vitucci is an excellent surgeon who is very meticulous and spends a lot of time going over all the details with the pet owners. After our initial meeting with Dr. Vitucci, we knew our pet would be in good hands. In summary, we cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vitucci and the entire staff at Veterinary Surgery Services! We even met with Dr. Wight, who opened the clinic, and had a pleasant visit with him as well.If your pet needs any type of surgery, Veterinary Surgery Services is definitely a clinic to consider!
