I will start by saying that I have been in my house a little over 2 years now. I waited to write a review till after the warranty ended and to see how things held up. It hasn't gone well. When we purchased the house, there was a laundry list of problems. The very first night we discovered that the breaker box was completely mislabeled when the the electrical system arced and popped my grinder pump, causing the waste water to come up through the sink, showers, etc. The concrete work and drywall work is not level, straight, or flush. You should see my garage where the drywall sticks out 2 inches on one end! The electrical continues to arc when certain outlets have any lights or appliances plugged in. It took them 4x to come out and level my drawers. All the doors, fixtures and appliances are the cheapest of garbage, and you get to finance them! They refused to finish the back yard, (even though I offered to pay) leaving 30% of it completely wild with 9 pine trees, scrub, garbage bags of trash, huge pieces of concrete, etc. I was told, word for word, "If you don't like it, someone else will be happy to buy the house." There are tons on concrete pieces that they just put dirt and sod over scattered throughout my yard. The sod itself was installed half dead, and when asked about it they said, "It takes a year or so for centipede to fully grow in." NOPE, that's what they say to get passed the warranty. They delays in the communication for the closing date cost me a 1/4 (.25%) point on my 30yr mortgage - that alone is $30k over the life of the mortgage. There are a dozen other reasons that I am writing this but my advise is to STAY AWAY FROM WHITWORTH BUILDERS. They cannot stand by their work, as it is shoddy, and borderline negligent to say the least. Oh yeah, multiple times I found beer cans all over the job site when I went to look at progress. I brought this up and they basically said "Construction crews will be construction crews."RUN AWAY TO A BUILDER WHO ACTUALLY CARES.

A great experience working with Whitworth builders and their staff. We have a 1 year old coconut cove home in Navarre, FL that was built by Whitworth builders.Throughout the building process working with Dave, during the selection of finishes working with Shelby, and the warranty phase working with Greg, we have received exceptional customer service, timely responses, and they've gone above and beyond to accommodate our reasonable requests. This is our third home purchase, two others were purchased in Texas with different builders, and by far the value that we got for our money, the included upgrades, the lot size, the customer service, and the quality of craftsmanship has exceeded our expectations. We like to wait a year after the build to complete our review in order to see if we have any warranty issues that need addressing and how they were handled and I can honestly say that we've had minimal and the few that we've had were addressed to our satisfaction and in a timely manner. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Whitworth builders from start to finish and we truly feel that we selected one of the best builders in the Navarre, FL area.

Today we got a follow up call from Whitworths broker Tina Peake with their sales agent Mark Frate on the line as well. They told us we could have our money back. All of it. We said "NO" we wanted the house completed. We asked for dates as to when we expect the house to close and were told that they could not promise anything, and that they could not be "micro-managed". We wanted an estimate of when the house would be done. She went back to the micro-managing comment! We were at the house this morning and ironically the "supervisor" for those builds pulled up. He told us, as the drywall was being delivered that the roof shingles were supposed to be delivered by Monday. The house time frame if everything goes well should be about 35 days. Tina Peake told us not to talk to their supervisor again, and to redirect all of our questions threw their sales agent. That they did not know when the house will be finished. This is not right. Shameful. Visit the BBB and see their reviews. Yes 2 now.

Buying a home (Coconut Cove Model) was the single best home buying experience we've had. We have owned 7 other homes (this is #8) in California, Maryland, Arizona and now Florida. This is the best. Whitworth Builders not only have beautiful, practical open floor plans but the construction is absolutely first cabin, top-notch. We could not be more pleased with the discovery, purchase and ultimate ownership of our absolutely gorgeous and damned near perfect Whitworth home. So, if someone tells you to talk to a Whitworth owner...talk to me.

Moved across the country to buy a home from whitworth builders. My wife had her heart set on having a pearl isle iii.We visited the area in September of 2019. We requested a call back and information via email. We never received either from the brook estates location.Throughout the rest of 2019 we called, left messages, sent emails and never got a response back.We move to the area June of 2020, finally got setup with an appointment at nature lake.We where notified 5 minutes before the start of our appointment that a scheduling error was made and we would have to come back 30 minutes later. no big deal, we drove around the neighborhood. We arrived at the corrected time and my wife and kids waited in the car for over 45 minutes. When I finally was able to sit down and talk with the associate she was extremely over worked and had to answer multiple phone calls during our meeting.I had lots I wanted to have my house built on, but the associate told me I would have to settle for an undesirable lot.My wife and I took turns watching the kids and provided all the details we wanted about having our home built. The associate would not schedule a specific time for us to pick out flooring and finishes we where told to just come back on her days on.Three days later we never heard from the associate who was supposed to give us build quotes with various flooring. We moved across the country in hopes to buy one of these homes. The associate didn’t take us seriously. The associate had no idea that we moved across the country for a whitworth builders home or how much money we had to pay for one in almost all cash, because she just treated us like some chumps off the street and didn’t bother to ask.We where planning on buying the largest, most expensive home that they even offer with numerous upgrades. We where passed over like we didn’t matter so we are taking our money elsewhere. You can probably receive better customer service being an inmate in your local county jail.

Whitworth Builders, Inc, I would never use them in any capacity for any reason after a recent interaction. Talk to other home owners, are you willing to bet on a 50/50 chance?

I have to say that our experience with Whitworth Builders has been great. Teresa and Dane were the two professionals we worked with throughout the build. They kept us up-to-date on all the issues as the build progressed. And, even after the sale was final, they were both there to help out when the could. However, I am writing this review to talk about the warranty department at Whitworth. We have had no issues with getting warranty work completed. The only real issue we had was due to the installation of solar panels on our roof. About a month ago, we developed a serious leak. It appeared to be coming from the vent for the dryer. Withworth came out and checked. They then had their roofing partner come out and fix it. It appeared as though this leak came as an error on the part of my solar company. Withworth fixed the roof and the ceiling in my master closet even though it was most likely not their error. When fixing the vent, they found a lag bolt that was not sealed or repaired. It was where the leak was coming from. However, they did not document the find with video or picture evidence. So, Whitworth took care of us. They made sure our home was water tight and secured. Just like all the warranty issues we have had, they have made good on them. This is how they have been with us from the start. I would definitely recommend Whithworth to anyone.
