I'm also a military member and needed to leave my membership at this gym as well. At least 2 of the staff members go against everything the company stands for (attitude, care and excellence). The girl employee treats the gym like a middle school. I wouldn't give her the attention she wanted so she made a point to be rude to me and everyone she knew I was friends with that also went to that gym. Highly unprofessional and she consistently has an awful attitude. Being around Joe is also like walking on egg shells every day. You never know how he's going to be, you just avoid him. You shouldn't have to avoid managers. You shouldn't have to deal with employees that get paid to be there yet hold such a toxic environment. They represent a company with great values and actively go against every single one. People just come to the gym to workout. They don't need to worry about employees making a nasty environment or yelling at people. Any other gym is better.

For starters, about 10 military members, myself included have stopped going to this gym due to the manager Joseph. Joe was fired from Gold's for having a temper issue but has been putting it to use in his position at Workout Anytime. I've witnessed him kick a guy out for coming right back in to grab something he forgot. Joe ended up cancelling his membership for that. I was working out there once & in between exercises, just looking around the room and Joe screams "what are you looking at?" pissed for no reason. Another fun example is a friend of mine was waiting to tan and Joe had stepped out for his smoke break leaving the gym unattended. My friend waited for a solid 10 minutes and decided to start it herself instead of create a fuss since she was in a rush. Joe came back when she came out of the tanning bed and yelled at her saying she was unqualified and threatened to cancel her membership too (she wouldn't give him her name so he couldn't). Last but certainly not least on Joseph, SEVERAL members have walked into the men's locker room and witnessed Joseph with his bare butt on the counter taking pictures in front of the mirror. How is this the person that runs the gym? The gyms contact page is coincidentally almost always broken so it's impossible to file a complaint. Speaking to management about any issues is also useless and will get your membership cancelled.

I have been going to this workout anytime every day for about 6 months. The one female that works there makes it an extremely unwelcome environment if she doesn't like you. I witnessed her talking bad about a couple members while on the job multiple times. She has had several members memberships cancelled just because she doesn't want the members around. The other day there was a safety hazard I brought to her attention and she blew up on me saying I was harassing her. She then had my membership cancelled and we watched a woman trip over the vacuum cord not even 2 minutes after I mentioned it. The management seems to only care about her input and not other members input or safety, as I have expressed my concerns and complaints before. All respect for members and their safety is gone when she works and they protect their toxic environment by not doing anything about the employees causing/allowing it.

Good luck trying to cancel your membership here just get ready to pay to cancel. Moved down to south Florida and it’s terrible.

Never anyone working. I’ve tried to cancel my membership twice no staff at the desk or answering the phone, and you can’t leave a message. Equipment to members ratio is way off. Never any openings on the free weights unless you can workout at 10am. Equipment is worn out, tanning beds are in terrible shape. Shame… this used to be a nice place.

I frequent this gym and truly do love it and the environmen, I've made many friends and the staff is amazing. Joseph will probably be the first face you see when you walk in and he is just the greatest, as well Roy and jonathan. If anyone asked me to recommend a gym I would definitely put anytime fitness in fwb first. The gym is very clean and well kept I regret nothing.

This gym runs it's finances through an outside company. I can't tell you how many times they screwed my account up on the auto pay and I would call the gym and they would tell me to call the financial center, then the financial center would tell me to call the gym. It was an absolute circus constantly just to have a normal autopay and no employee could figure out what was going on and I was having to call multiple times to both places back and forth. As if that experience wasn't bad enough when I cancelled my membership they charged me for one more month which is fine because it's their policy, but then months later after paying my final bill I get hit with all these charges. I call and get the manager who is a very flamboyant aggressive homosexual (that's the only way I can reveal who I'm speaking of because I don't know his name and I'm sure most people don't either yet are very aware of who he is). Everyone I know can't stand him because he is such a bully and on a power trip. I don't know what in the world the owner is thinking having this angry person be the face of his business. Maybe it's his little cousin that he pities. I mean seriously it's ludicrous. Anyway, I explain the situation to this hateful manager and he literally tells me I was not charged. I proceeded to tell him that I had been and they reflect on my bank statements. He resorts to literally screaming at me telling me I am basically a liar. I told him I wanted to speak to someone above him since he is unable to fix it and rather accusing me of dishonesty. He said there was no one above him and yelled at me telling me to stop being aggressive which is comical because he was the one yelling and refusing to let me explain. I then asked for the owner's info and he refused to give it to me. I said, "Oh don't worry I will get his info because it's in my email somewhere already from speaking with him in the past about fixing my autopay." I hang up. He obviously got scared I was going to contact the owner about his behavior. He called back and apologized saying he really looked into it and I was right and he was wrong, well actually, no, it was the finance center's fault really. No true accountability from him. He said I would receive my $120 refund. Well, I did get a refund, but it was $89. I just let it go. Anyway, the owner needs to get his manager in check because this is not how you treat customers.

Nice gym that stays clean often, and there is a lot of equipment, too.

The equipment isn’t getting wiped down not even by the people that work there. I brought it to there attention & nothing was done! If the employees don’t follow the rules then WHY should anyone else!! Very upsetting…

Been going here for 7 years. For the first time EVER the music has finally become more of what people actually work out too. Joe, Savannah, and the other young guy have really made it more pleasant lately. They all 3 workout consistently, easy to talk to, and play more rap/hip hop. Gym has seemed cleaner and more maintained lately as well. ? ?

Whoever answered the phone was very polite until I asked a question that she didn’t understand. That’s when she caught a attitude that I didn’t sign up for. The new policy charges you extra if you miss a payment which I’ve never heard about. I’ve never been charged a extra 30$. I had money in my account but it never pulled it out until 8 days later supposedly

This always happens: the owner leaves and the place goes downhill. They need a SERIOUS cleaning in there. Dust is everywhere that patrons are breathing in while working out. Machines need the padding repaired; much is torn. When you bring it up to the 'day management' they use the Covid excuse. They also said the 'owner is out of town and she doesn't want to be contacted.'The water fountains have not been cleaned in years. And they have NEVER changed or cleaned the air filters.Equipment is always laying on the floor. Why not put in a simple rack that things could be stored on, so less tripping on equipment? It appears it is beneath the staff to clean and rerack the weights. Sooner or later, someone is going to fall, get hurt, and sue. And please... why must they play rap music every day? Most patrons who enjoy rap have their own headphones on. The rest of us are suffering. When I've asked at the front desk for less offensive music to be played, they state: "we have a playlist to go by"... as though a playlist can't be changed. It appears that RAP is on their playlist every day. The gym has been inundated by people slamming weights down on overloaded bars. There is also an annoying amount of guys taking their shirts off to admire their physiques in the mirrors. And the staff says nothing.
