It is a very nice Family Dollar/Dollar tree with a very big selection of items. Very neat and tidy. The only downfall is it used to be some kind of pet store and the smell of ammonia/pet urine is so strong it hits you like a brick wall. It's a bit hard to handle especially when you have asthma and a lung disease.

Check out person was not very nice. She yelled at my son for looking at the balloons thinking he was getting behind counter then he has his toy and it was open some and she got smart about it being open when the barcode was still in good shape to scan. When she handed me my change she handed me the dollars but threw change on the counter and was very rude. I told her it was uncalled what she did. I expect to be treated better than that! Her behavior was uncalled for!! I will not be back if she is working!

Love this store❣️ It’s so clean, with a great selection, friendly and helpful employees, bright and well organized. It blows the other stores away (both Family Dollar / Dollar Tree and the competition). I am so thrilled this store opened in Freeport.❤️

A little less Family dollar and a little more dollar tree would be nice. The first week it was open I went there to shop and had to use the bathroom and was told they were having "plumbing problems" now both the "all gender bathrooms" have signs and then stating no public restrooms. Seriously? How's a store with Family in the title not have an available restroom for a child?
