I am very disappointed with the customer service I experienced today in Freeport. I had called ahead to confirm that a notary was available and was told yes. When we arrived, however, the lady assisting us was visibly upset and explained that her co-worker was new and that they do not provide notary services within 30 minutes of closing. I apologized and expressed my gratitude for her time, and she began working on notarizing our marriage license.
Then, she asked about witnesses. I explained kindly that the courthouse had informed us witnesses were not required. She used this as the reason not to complete the notarization, which left us without the service we had been assured of. This was very frustrating, especially as I had already planned and arranged our honeymoon for this weekend.
Yes, a Florida notary can sign a marriage license after performing a ceremony without witnesses, as witnesses are not mandatory for a valid marriage in Florida. While witness signatures are optional on the certificate, the officiant's signature, which includes a notary's signature if they are authorized to solemnize marriages, is required to validate the marriage.

I’ve had multiple interactions with Michael at this UPS location, and unfortunately, he is consistently rude and unprofessional. Rather than being helpful, he comes across as dismissive and unfriendly, which makes the experience unpleasant every time. Good customer service goes a long way, and I hope management addresses this behavior so customers can feel more welcomed and respected.

Today I stopped in to return to Amazon packages, and on the way inside I saw a little elderly woman that could barely walk into the same store, and I could tell she was having a very hard time walking, and as I was standing there, she looked as if she was going to faint And I asked the staff if they had a chair that she could sit down in and immediately the manager, Levi carried over with a chair, not only that she sat with her, went and bought her water and crackers from the grocery store and brought them back and helped her back out to her car to make sure that she was able to leave and was OK to do so. I was absolutely amazed by her heartfelt genuine behavior. She is truly a good Samaritan.

March 31, 2025 I made a return to Amazon, I took my package to the UPS in Freeport. I had all of my packages put in one box. When I returned home i noticed there was another return code i had over looked. Two of the packages should not have been put in the box , they should go separately , I called the UPS store and spoke with a very nice & courteous young lady ,explained my situation. She advised me not to worry she would locate the box and take care of it and for me to come back with the other return code. I went back i showed my return code and it was all taken care of . I appreciate the trouble they went to to locate the box. The people that own and the people that work there are really nice and helpful. Wish they would open up another one in DeFuniak
