Dave is a stellar postmaster and as a small business owner new to the area coming from Atlanta, I know good and bad facilities. Per capita I have never seen such a large quantity of entrepreneurs. Even in Atlanta I rarely encountered many, here it’s daily and everyone is shipping more than 50 packages each. I ship 6 days a week and encounter one daily sometimes 3. As inundated as this post office is, you have to hand it to their efforts and responsibility. They uphold the mission and USPS values to a t. Most of the negative reviews are from consumers that misplace personal problems for review conditions, or rude impatient customers not getting their way when they want it or being waited on have and foot. Classic cryabeaties but pointing the finger at absolutely anyone so long as it’s not accountability. Dave and David I have had the pleasure of dealing with and I would choose to use this USPS over any single one in Atlanta. As previously alluded, it’s remarkable thier accuracy and delivery times regarding packages. I ship anywhere from 1000-3000 packages a month to customers, part of my top rated 4.9/5 review is because of my ability to pack and prep and drop off quickly and this facilities lightning speed to delivery accurately. 100%. If you are an entrepreneur and high volume make sure you start incorporating scan sheets for any logistics services you use. It helps them immensely and makes your life a whole lot easier as well. Do not let the reviews fool you, they are incorrect, this is a 5star location and you won’t find better postmasters and you won’t find a better facility that upholds the USPS mission and core values. I hope we can help to get you the expansion you need and deserve and additional resources. As I am also expanding and more entrepreneurs are relocating to this area, use this facility if it’s sustainable for your business. Cheers.

7/1/25 Called and spoke to Mike! This rating is for him. The few times I’ve been able to talk to him, he has always been pleasant and helpful. The package I waited 3 months for was delivered to the Freeport location today. I talked to Mike and he ensured me that my package was already being forwarded to my new address.
Delivery guy literally on my front door camera NOT attempting delivery, no knock, no doorbell used. I immediately went to the door to catch him. He was pulling away. It was certified Mail and required a signature. *sigh* Just terrible….I quickly rescheduled the delivery for today. Has the item been delivered- no. I’m in the Hammock Bay community. Updating to add today, 3/21/25 I just received a notification that the letter was left at my residence, but no one has arrived. Had my kiddo go check the mailbox and there it was. So now they are marking that they left the item with an actual person when they didn’t. I don’t get it….DO BETTER I am reporting this.

I appreciate that my mail was grouped and not loose inside the mailbox when I went to grab it today. I acknowledge the effort made. Thank you.

Mail/Package delivery is the worst. This post office should be audited and reported to the Postal Inspection Office, Matter of fact I will be performing a 1st amendment audit on this post office to determine what issues are causing mail not to be correctly delivered. Time to get this place in view of the General Postal Officer, and not the one that works there. Updates to be provided.

Had mail lost in the system had to stop payments on a few checks because of the wonderful mail system. Also I don't know what theydo with the mail .my water bill was put on a late charge but sent it in way early

This post office only provides service for 2-1/2 hours in the morning, CLOSES for one hour lunch, and then reopens for 3 hours providing postal services a total of 5-1/2 hours each day.Many times, paid services are not rendered (especially restricted delivery).Depending on how the employees feel each day will determine whether youare greeted with friendliness or indifference.This post office has poor leadership and does very little to provide adequate service to the people of Freeport. Especially during lunch (12-1pm) when most folks us their lunch hour to run errands, they are closed! The post offices in Niceville and Defuniak Springs are opened over 8 hours each day with no lunch closing providing their community with much needed services... but not at Freeport! Very lazy!

This is the third time in 2 weeks they have completely dropped the ball They cant manage to even keep up with the tracking of an item and all that takes is scaning a barcode I wish there was a better option i am beyond disappointed items should have been here 3 days ago tomorrow is the event and now they might as well return my orders due to incompetence.

It’s my fault for living in Freeport FL. The USPS definitely drinks tap water and has their vaccines. I constantly get a notification that my package was delivered and I never receive anything. I am almost positive that the post people are stealing my belongings. They would bring as disgruntled, mistreated and miseducated as they are. Buy your own stuff and stop thieving from me! Drink spring water or Alkaline water and don’t brush or rinse with flourish, maybe then your IQ begins to rise.
