Losing our sweet kitten was one of the most heartbreaking experiences we’ve ever faced. In that painful moment, we were incredibly fortunate to find Brenda. From the very beginning, she offered not just comfort, but true compassion. She didn’t treat our grief like just another situation—she treated it with warmth, patience, and genuine care. She was personal, attentive, and held space for our sadness in a way that made us feel seen and supported.

Brenda, knowing she didn’t have the right kitten for us at that time, could have simply wished us well. Instead, she went above and beyond and connected us with Irene and John—two more incredible souls who embraced us with kindness and understanding. They took the time to truly listen to what we were looking for in a new companion and somehow managed to pair us with the perfect baby boy. He is everything we could’ve hoped for and more.

What we expected was help finding a kitten. What we received was so much more—a community. In the middle of our grief, these wonderful people gave us hope, love, and a renewed sense of connection. We are endlessly grateful to Brenda, Irene, and John for helping us heal and for giving us the most precious gift in our new kitten.

“I was scrolling through facebook last Saturday morning and a picture of the cutest little puppy popped up on my feed. The first thing that came to mind was how much he looked like my boy Ruger who passed back in 2022. I was delighted to read that he was available for adoption and he was local. I showed my girlfriend the photo and she immediately said go get him . I couldn’t wait for Save a Life to open so I could go and meet my new buddy. I arrived early and signed in for the adoption event . Their process is very organized and the staff is very friendly. After spending some time with my pup, I decided to proceed with the adoption. Everything was so easy and in no time I was going home with my boy. I highly recommend Save A Life .”
