Hands down, one of the greatest veterinarian experiences. I wanted to find a new vet for my Russian Tortoise as we are new to the area. Given how challenging finding a good quality and affordable vet is nowadays, I was extremely hesitant to try one I simply found on the Internet. Lo and behold, I came across Dr. Rolfe and her team at the Bird & Exotic Hospital off Lake Worth Road. Finding the office was made easy thanks to their ability to text you the location, as well as a detailed list of what they would like for you to bring in. I also received a first-time patient survey that provided them with basic information about my tortoise. When I arrived, I found ample parking in a rather large and spacious parking lot. I strolled into a very well-maintained and modern clinic. I was given a warm greeting by one of the front desk staff. They provided me with visitation details and directed me to their comfortable waiting room, filled with plenty of chairs and reading material. I waited no more than five minutes before we were called in. The nurse was extremely polite and outgoing. She took a detailed history as well as answered any basic questions I had. Immediately after, Dr. Rolfey came in and saw my tortoise. Similar to her staff, she was kind and respectful. She took the time to answer my questions and was very funny! It was very welcoming here. I felt like they were talking with me, not at me. They provided me with the costs of every service and product they offered, with no pressure to do anything, while suggesting their honest opinion if I should or should not do something for my tortoise. Before I departed, they gave me a list of suggestions as well as my bill. Paying was very easy too. I cannot believe how well I was treated here. I frankly wish my personal primary care doctor took as much time as the staff of Bird & Exotic Hospital did to thoroughly answer all my questions and provide guidance.

Superior experience. Brought in new patient, small rabbit. The hospital gave some useful general printed materials on the care of rabbits. Nurse Michelle then took a detailed history. Dr. Rolfe reviewed the history, clipped nails, did a careful examination of the rabbit, telling us what she was looking for and concerned about, and then discussed specific areas of concern and what preventative actions to take to keep the rabbit healthy over time. There was no sense of time constraint. Then she left and Nurse Michelle went over Dr. Rolfe's conclusions and gave a print-out summary. Professional and helpful. So highest recommendation.

I’ve been going here for a few years now, and I couldn’t be happier with the care my rabbit and I have received by all the staff! Dr. Romo and his whole team are very professional, kind, and make you feel at ease. We’ve been through a lot of medical procedures with our rabbit, and I wouldn’t trust any other place to take care of her. They are worth every penny! Thanks to Dr. Romo our little Butter is still alive and well and I couldn’t be more grateful!

Amazing staff and veterinarian at The Bird & Exotic Hospital. We have a tiny parrotlet that we are so nervous to bring anywhere, and from the moment Noelle came in the room to do the intake, we started to feel better. She interacted with our bird in a way that made us feel she would be in good hands.Noelle and Dr. Rolfe were so gentle with her that she never panicked. Not once.Another assistant helped, and we apologize we did not catch her name. Very gentle with our bird, also.You feel that they treat your bird as one of their own.On a side note, the rooms are extremely clean and when you walk in, it just feels professional.Tracy, at the front, is also included in this. Professional, and if you need anything (speak to a tech, grab an ice pack to keep medication cold :) ), she will immediately help you.We can not recommend this practice enough.

I’ve been here with a few of my lizards and the staff have always been incredible. They are impressively knowledgeable but what really stands out to me is the genuine passion and care that these folks obviously put into the pets and their human companions. The Bird Hospital truly goes above and beyond!

The Bird and Exotic hospital is amazing!! Sunday I noticed my Congo African parrot had a clear discharge coming out of his nose and I panicked. To my surprise the bird hospital was open for emergencies on Sunday, Mary Ann said bring Rigby right down. I am about 1 hour away and got there around 5. They took my bird right back. Dr. Rue was awesome! Came in and we spoke about Rigby, he had never been sick before and I have had him since 1993. They were so caring and concerned like Rigby was their own bird. I would recommend them to anyone who has a bird or an exotic pet!!

Entire staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I bring my ferrets there and wouldn't take them anywhere else. Dr Romo is trustworthy.

I am very impressed with Dr. Romo and his entire staff. I brought in my 6 Month old Angora to be neutered. I was very nervous as I had a recent terrible experience with another exotic pet facility where my bunny passed away in their care after they told me she would be fine. The staff along with Dr. Romo are very caring about client concerns and I can tell they really care about each individual pet. I will be a long term client exclusively to this office. While in the reception area waiting for my appointment, other clients were also waiting and they all had great things to say about Dr. Romo and his staff. My drive to his facility is 45 minutes each way and well worth the time to make sure my pets have the best care.

They saved our parrots life! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ! She was not able to breathe and they took her in and treated her with love care and expertise. Everyone treated us like we were family and you could tell they really cared …from answering the phone to each visit .

Love Dr. Romo- he took the time to thoroughly explain the care plan for my rabbit. Didn’t push for unnecessary procedures. Had him years ago and appreciated his level of care back then. Office staff was extremely nice. From the front desk/making the appointment to arrival- to the vet tech (forgot her name)- so kind/caring. It is very, very hard to find a good exotic specialist- they are great- well worth the 40 minute drive. Thank you!

We made numerous calls when our sun conures had an accident. They were the only Exotic bird hospital open on Sunday. We brought our Conure in and they tend to him within mins and handle everything in a professional and calming manner. They were very reassuring and explained everything in details on what they did and how to treat him when we take him home. Very grateful for them being open on a Sunday. Not a lot of Exotic Bird veterinary around the Palm Beach county area.

Outstanding experience from the phone call to set up the appointment through the check up for my rabbits. The receptionist, tech, & doctor were great. The tech & doctor were very knowledgeable & spent the right amount of time with me addressing all of my questions. I highly recommend & they will now be my regular vet.

Wow! What an amazing experience! The Bird and Exotic Hospital is the best, hands down! Doctor Rue is extremely knowledgeable, very detail oriented and attentive. The vet techs were amazing as well. The front desk staff were also amazing! I didn't have an appointment, and I called late in the day and they were booked, but the doctor told them to have me come on in anyway. My bearded dragon had been acting funny. They triaged him as soon as I walked in the door. The techs did their part in gathering info about him from me and then a little while later Dr. Rue came out with good news and shocking news..she said " he is a she, and pregnant!" Lmao, I was and still am, in shock! Needless to say, they took very good care of him and me while we were there. I will continue to go to The Bird and Exotic Hospital. They are amazing to say the least. ?

Maria Anne is wonderful. She makes difficult appointments more bearable. Doctor Romo is the best exotic vet in the area. Everyone is great. Highly recommended.
