“Last month, we began searching for a local business to remove the carpet in a significant portion of our house and replace it with wooden floors. We decided to use Floor Covering International (FCI) based mostly on the high ratings it received in the many reviews that its former customers posted on various computer sites. We made the right choice. We were very impressed with our initial meeting with the project coordinator, Cody, who provided us with a roadmap for the upcoming job. He brought FCI’s mobile showroom to our house to assist us in selecting the wooden flooring we wanted to be installed. We were able to see a virtual view of how our floor would look with different floor planks and received an exact cost estimate based on an electronic measurement of the project area and the cost of the flooring we selected. When given a start time, we chose an early start (8 a.m.), and the installation crew showed up on time and started work immediately. The crew did an amazing job of moving our furniture, removing and disposing of our old carpet, installing the new wooden floors and trim, replacing our furniture, and leaving the project area clean. Their part of the project was done without any idle time, working as a well-coordinated team with superior results. The job was finished in less than 8 hours. A few days later, FCI’s representative came by to review the completed project to see if we had any concerns and to provide us with our final bill, which was exactly as estimated. We had no concerns, only high praise for all aspects of the project. “After buying a new home in Pensacola we decided to put new carpet in each of the 4 bedrooms. Being new to Pensacola (and Florida) we went with one of the big stores who said it could be installed the day after we closed, before we moved in. The week before installation, we received a call it couldn’t be done by that date but a week later. We went to the other big store (you all know the 2 stores I mean) and they referred us to Act 1 ~ that in and of itself was impressive. We called right then and there, spoke with Dakota (a charming young man) and he asked if we could come in; we went right over. He was completely sensitive to our dilemma and showed us the carpet we could have installed 7 days later. He knew exactly what would work best for us and made sure that particular carpet snd color were available (one that we actually liked better). Though they didn’t want to use the other company’s measurements, they did simply to get the installation done so quickly. We also spoke with Adam, the owner, who was as delightful as Dakota. They did a beautiful job with our carpet; left no mess and even vacuumed. It’s nicer than we would have gotten and the difference in price was negligible (less than $100 on a $6K job). When we’re ready to redo all of the tile and lvp in the rest of the house we wouldn’t dream of using anyone else. This family business cares about its customers and goes above and beyond. Dakota is absolute perfection; knowledgeable and understanding and Adam is just the same. The rest of the staff is lovely ~ they care about their customers just like they care about each other; they’re family.”
