I pretty much agree with the review of Walter Krauss when he says he can’t believe that this store has a 4.2 rating. There is an employee in Flooring named Trace, he has taken good care of my wife and I and I would give him a 4.2 rating. But today, I’m extremely frustrated. I’ve been trying to contact the Flooring department. Nobody has answered the phone in over 10 minutes on two separate occasions in the Flooring department.. So I attempted to have customer service department page them overhead and customer service didn’t answer their phone either. I called the manager on duty and he didn’t answer his phone. I spent between 1130 am to 12:15 pm on hold and never spoke to anyone. There is something to be said about paying the higher prices of Ace Hardware. One thing is for sure, they answer their phones 100% of the time and they’re always there greeting customers upon entry and offering assistance.

Most of the time, I am able to find what I am looking for... usually more.
If you want help , find an older employee. They are the knowledgeable ones, AND they actually want to help you find whatever it is you are looking for!!!

Purchased a refrigerator and extended warranty, First refrigerator was defective, second refrigerator was damaged . Talked to three different managers all promising the refund and adjustment would be handled and I would receive a return phone call. On the 4th try I was able to talk to Tim, who informed me no refund or adjustment was made but he would take care of it and I could expect an email as well as a call back. The extended warranty was now over a week old, because they did not process so I can't get a refund of the extended warranty without going through the extended warranty company. This store suffers in urgency, compassion, and overall customer service. Tim is the only name I remember, he did get the refund made as well as the price adjustment, as he said. Tim"s only fault was not following up on the extended warranty. Thank you for what you did, Tim.

This is the absolute worst Lowe’s I have ever delt with as a contractor. So incredibly incompetent!!! It baffles me how they have a 4 star rating. One more than one occasion my order has been completely wrong when delivered. I base my scheduling of jobs based on material being delivered on the day that they tell me and accurately. This time I placed an order to be delivered on Tuesday. First, I reviewed the email receipt and they had completely left off 22 bags of concrete. Called in and they said to call back Monday and we could add it to the order to still be delivered on Tuesday. Did that Monday morning at 8:00. Then got an email stating that my delivery was rescheduled until Thursday. This will set my project back two days costing money!!! They really don’t seem to care about that. In fact, after waiting on hold for OVER 30 minutes, I was informed that it wasn’t even for sure going to be delivered on Thursday because they were having delivery issues. And now they won’t even pick up the phone (caller id, I guess). I wonder if the district managers or corporate even know, understand, or care about how horrible this store is???

I thought these places had people that thier job is to gather the carts. I needed a utility cart and couldn't find one, asked a worker and he said you have to go outside and find one in the parking lot. Why should I have to do their work, and then they have other carts with stuff in it just sitting around. I thought about dumping them out and using it, but I'm not that mean.

I’ve never had a ‘great’ experience at the Gulf Breeze store. Staff seemed slightly rude but it is what it is, customer service is hardly what it used to be these days. But after today.. a very simple request turned into one of the WORST experiences I’ve had in conflict resolution. I ordered a washer as a warranty replacement online (gift card from warranty for payment) for curbside pick up, after a few hours I realized the pick up date was Saturday May 4th , not Saturday ‘same day’. I called the store and spoke with a manager, MICHAEL who said it was a simple fix to transfer to another location that did have it in stock. JANET called back and said that was not the case and the best thing to do was cancel the order and reorder at that location. I expressed my concerns using the gift card and the balance being available again immediately. She said it shouldn’t be an issue since the card isn’t actually charged until the item is picked up. GREAT! I go to reorder and the balance is now ZERO. I called the store back and spoke with another manager KYLE , who was nice and attempted to be helpful. But when getting to the gift card/refund part he told me JANET was the ‘guru’ for those questions. I explained she was the person who told me the balance would be available immediately and his response was ‘oh she must not have been listening’ …. WHAT? who cares if she was or wasn’t that’s not a response you give to the customer. Then he tells me they actually DO HAVE THE WASHER IN STOCK AT THEIR LOCATION. Basically my only option was to purchase the washer myself and wait for the refund to then do another refund/payment. I called the customer service line for refunds and they informed me that a refund had been issued to a new gift card which should arrive in 10 DAYS.
Ultimately we decided to pay ourselves and wait for the gift card, when I arrived KYLE had conveniently ‘just gone on break’ , JANET offered no apologies even at the surface level of the the 6 hour hassle of this ordeal, she was rude, did not help me herself but stood there the entire time. Another associate gossiped and another complained of their allergies while I completed payment. I did receive a 10% discount per KYLE, a 5% discount for the Lowe’s card but not the 10% discount for the my Lowe’s pro member account.
After waiting about 15-20 minutes for them to bring out the washer, another associate told my boyfriend ‘it’s light you can load it yourself’ isn’t that liability policy to not allow customers to lift heavy items? It sure said so on the box “WEIGHT WARNING two or more person lift to prevent back or other injury”
I let a lot of stuff go attitude/customer service wise and am not one to run to the bad reviews but this was absolutely insane…. And to think, if the 1st associate and manager listened to exactly what I was saying and why I wanted to transfer pick up locations and checked inventory this entire mess would have immediately been resolved. KYLE kept saying ‘man I wish someone had checked this’
We will be calling higher managers and corporate if needed, to hopefully prevent this from happening to someone else. It may seem ridiculous but it was one horrible interaction after another.
