This business is a scam and the owner is a con artist. This man stole my money. The owner Raphael Aviv is a liar and a thief. He told me he was going to sell me a custom diamond ring. It was at a fixed price of around $7,800 (which now reading another review on here is oddly similar to the amount he scammed from the other costumer). Raphael then proceeded to never provide the ring I asked for. He showed me rings that were not what I asked for and then kept raising the price. I asked for my deposit back after months of waiting for what I asked for and he refused to return it. He said his store policy was that he keeps all deposits on layaway items. However, he never had a ring on layaway for me. He just kept peddling me nonsense for months. He also never once stated any of that when we agreed on the transaction. He then went on to say he sent me stuff and I never responded. All of which was a lie because I had a well documented trail of our conversations. The last thing he said to me was that I was trying to scam my deposit back for Xmas and to go bother someone else. He's a disgusting human being. The fact that he felt entitled to keeping my money for nothing is disgusting. He got extremely nasty and told me I had no case. It is completely unbelievable that a business can take someone's money provide them with nothing and then have the audacity to keep their money and also proceed to be a complete pig about it. I ended up filing a police report on him because I'm not the first person he has scammed and I'm hoping this will help other people avoid being scammed by this man. I do not recommend his services. He is completely crooked businessman and honestly something should be done by law enforcement about what he's doing to people. He also goes by Fine Designs By Raphael.

Raphael is an extremely dishonest person to do business with. I made the mistake of purchasing a diamond from him. He told me the diamond I was purchasing was a D color sI3 and he appraised it for $55,000.00 (I paid $7800.00)

Raphael is an extremely dishonest person to do business with. I made the mistake of purchasing a diamond from him. He told me the diamond I was purchasing was a D color sI3 and he appraised it for $55,000.00 (I paid $7800.00) Within 2 weeks of receiving it I took it to 5 different jewelers and they ALL said the diamond was an E color, I2 at it's best. They also said they would never sell that quality diamond and wouldn't even buy it from me for more than a $1000.00 The diamond looks good from the top but the inside is riddled with carbon and flaws. There's also a huge flaw/crack the entire diameter of the diamond. I wouldn't be surprised if the diamonds breaks in half one of these days. I contacted him with this information and asked for a refund. On his website (also verbally) he offered a 30 day money back guarantee. His response was that jewelers don't use the same grading scale, therefor I'm going to be getting different opinions (Don't all jewelers use the same universal diamond grading system?) That I should give it a few weeks to let the diamond grow on me. His main argument for not issuing me a refund was because I texted him the day I received it (before I had it appraised by my jeweler) stating the ring was stunning, and from that text he considered the sale final. Through several texts and emails (he wouldn't take my calls) I explained to him the diamond was not the quality diamond I wanted nor was it the diamond I agreed to buy and certainly not the same grade that's printed on the receipt and appraisal. I again pointed out his return policy and he needed to honor it. So what does he do? He changes his return policy on his website from 30 days to 14. However, there's still a blue ribbon on his page with the 30 day return. I found his business on e-bay and what I did wrong was wiring him the money as opposed to purchasing it through e-bay or a credit card. Had I, I would have been able to dispute the charge. His other website is diamonds by Rafael If you are reading this and have already purchased a diamond, If I were you, I would have it appraised.

Excellent customer service the diamond I purchased appraised for 2x what I paid, Raphael was always prompt when communicating via email or text. Once I told him what I was looking for and my budget he was more than accommodating, definitely recommend him over any big name jewelry store.
