When i first moved back to Havana, I used to enjoy stopping by Dollar General. You waa greeted with a smile, hospitality, and once I became a regular they already knew what i was coming at. Fast-forward to 14 years later. Things has definitely changed at this location! All of the good managers are gone! You never see the same people! They close when they want to, and overall its juse not the same. Today was my worse experience! I waa talking to one of the associates as calm as i know about her attitude towards customers and how its not a good look! My kids we're trying to pay for their items and she needed to do something from her side so that they can use their debit card! When I confronted the situation she was like she doesn't care she's about to get off anyway and shes not supposed to be working today anyway! I advised her that her having to come in has absolutely nothing to do with her being rude for no reason! I even shared with her that i work in customer service and there is no way that i would conduct myself in thar manner and expect to keep my job! She proceeded to get louder and louder! By then my children became upset because she began cruising at me! I asked her to PLEASE ring my items so I can pay and leave! I repeatedly told her that her line was getting longer and longer and the sooner she finishes with my transaction and I can go! I called for another employee that was standing close by if she could ring me up so i can get out of there! The employee stepped in to try and assist me and that's when i noticed the young lady had something in her hand as if she was going to throw it! I told that it wasn't that serious because no one threatened her, but if she threw the object she would never be able to use that arm again! I even advised her to call Havana Police before throwing anything towards me or my kids because things were not going to go good for her if she throws anything! The young lady became more and more irritate! Eventually a manager ( im assuming) came out and told her to walk away! She still proceeded to make a scene and then she had a rubber sledgehammer in her hand. I told her once again to be wise about throwing anything at me. I didn't threatened her or yell or disrespect her for to conduct herself the way she did! It seems like this young lady was upset cause she had to come in and I get but if i don't give an attitude i don't expect a attitude! From doing my research this young lady has had some run ins with other customers and thats not good! Im a customer who was trying to de-escalate a angry associate who was being rude to me! Anyone else would have matched her energy! The only way i would have matched her energy is had she threw one of the objects at my kids or myself! Then she literally waa arguing with kids that got upset because you're disrespecting their mama WHO WAS NOT BEING RUDE AT ALL!

The manager guy here is very rude to his costumers, he refuse to give back refunds an when asked to be shown were in the hand book that he couldn't give a refund for the item he then charged his mind an side his manager said they would do it this time but never again! Myself an my husband comes here almost daily! Now he's has the door locked with one of his employees locked outside an the store doesn't close for an hours or so ! By witch he watch about 10 costumers has come to the door as he counted down registers before making a body jester stating that the store is closed! This is the only store that is open in this city after 10pm an we spend a lot of money here although we pass many GD on our way home! The owner needs to do something about this! Before losing valuable an loyal customers!

Last week the blonde cashier tried to accuse me of stealing despite having all items on my receipt. Very poor customer service, I now only patronize the location on Shady Rest.

This store is not well maintained, overcrowded with fixtures that make navigating the store difficult, carts are rarely inside the store, otc medications and supplement shelves are always empty, many boxes waiting to be restocked and rarely any management onsite. The staff are super helpful but the location is severely understaffed. One to two checkout staff cannot keep guests checked out timely and be expected to clean floors, unpack and stock merchandise, and collect czrts. If managmemt is getting a percentage incentive by keeping employment costs down then this is doing a disservice to staff, customers as well as store profits. Today a delivery driver attempted to deliver a Hershey display case.. Upon entering the store the store employee stated there was no room for the display shelves and she would need to call corporate but it was after 3pm and the driver and other customers just looked on in disbelief and amusement. The turn over in this store is high too which also indicates little to no management or corporate support. Many items shelf prices are out dated and not accurate and overrides at the register are needed. Great opportunity for improvements that would net measurable gains with right support from corporate. Staff here are mostly friendly, helpful but meed support. Understaffed location.

Store is never open when they say they are going to be. Got there tonight at 8:30 and they were long gone. Posted time said 9:00pm. We were one of 4 people that stopped while we were there.

I've never been to a store in this condition. Terrible. Boxes all over the aisle floors, dirty spots all over and just overall dirty and grungy. Walked in, and walked out. Cannot imagine purchasing anything there. Hope they

Need to fire the manager because of laziness. This store would be great but don't have a good manager to get this store right. You can't find anything because the aisles are filled with boxes. You can't shop like that period !
