I went in this store the other day.it was so clean and organized. I’m not use to that in this store.Must have new management because that store used to be real nasty.Good job management your doing great.

I love to go to the Dollar General because there's always one around actually sometimes two or three but I like going in their store I just have had problems with the one and interlachen in Florida because the supplies are very low they're freezers and ice cream are almost none the customer service at night time is not very good they don't have enough staff members to run and operate a store correctly you have to wait for them to stop helping your customer find something in order to check you out at the register and their stock anymore is horrible you can't find anything on their shelves are empty in every Department of the store I don't blame the employees that are working I blame the company itself they have to do better at that store if they want to remain open and be competition to the surrounding stores in the area not all of the Dollar Generals in this area are like that it's just the one in interlachen

As of this afternoon today, Tuesday, August 29, 2023, the management in this store is consistently rude and seems like it's coincidentally having "technical issues" every day during its final hours before closing every night. It has been this way for weeks now. Whenever you walk in you're greeted with a voice of and look of annoyance yelling "You've got xxxx amount of time left!" instead of hello or anything else. There are nicer ways of letting people know there is a limited amount of time left before closing and greeting them upon arrival with instant "get out, go away, we hate you" energy earns you reviews like this and a reputation like the one this store currently has. Just throw the whole staff away and start over again. (I edited a typo on 09/11/2023 and it changed the "posted" date of this review.)

Dirty store with old pricing, supposedly "they" won't send updated price stickers and local management will not honor the price as advertised on the shelf. Employees are wearing pajamas, the isles are crowded with empty boxes. Shop elsewhere.

I am VERY upset, I got to this location in Hawthorne by 9:55PM 5 minutes before close, and YES I know that can be inconvenient but I only came to grab ONE thing that would’ve taken me less than 1 minute to grab and use self checkout, I wouldn’t of wasted anyone’s time or used cash to make them have to recount their drawers, BUT instead I was greeted by LOCKED DOORS. I work in customer service/ retail. I KNOW what it’s like to have someone come in right before close, so I understand you being frustrated but locking your doors before your closing time just because you’re too focused on leaving exactly at 10pm? It’s just uncalled for. I work in Gainesville and have to drive an hour home so between there and my house that’s the only DG I can get to (because I’m on the outskirts of Gainesville I can’t drive back into Gainesville) you shouldn’t lock your doors before your posted close time. End of story. But whatever rant over this place has been going down hill for years. Rude customer service, it’s dirty and I’d rather just drive back into Gainesville when I’m off my shift then deal with this ever again. ✌?

Cash register never seems to work..no one to assist on self ck out .place is cluttered, never stocked. Shelves empty..some employees are ok..but try and get attention when there's a line backed up, and no one is around to ck u out..the self ck out register is a joke..1 day it says debit/credit card only, then next day says cash only..so we are forced to wait til a actual person shows up to cash people out..I'm surprised that place isn't shop lifted by people..many times I've gone in, got my items, narry a person at front to ck you out..I've observed people get disgusted and walk out of store w items in hand, not paying for them..6yrs ago had decent employees, now they are rude, lazy, and sits in office alot..so I stop going there..I'd rather go to interlachen store..5miles away, but at least the employees smile, and do their job..oh at the one at 21 and highway 20, one time register wasn't telling cashier how much change to give..she actually used her calculator to try n figure it out..uhh, my bill was $18.01..I hand her a 20 dollar bill and a penny..she actually didn't know how to figure put my change back..I had to tell her my change was $2.00.. she said no, I was wrong..geez, teach them to count out change..

This was a horrible scary nasty place everything was disordered did not have price tags anywhere it's all moldy nasty floors doors have stickers all over it not that many people working the people that are working aren't that nice this staller general is small and everything is all over the floors it's not cleaned unfortunately they told me to stop taking pictures as I was inside but I got some of outside as you can see on the sign it is nasty and the whole place is just disorganized their carts everywhere boxes everything's on the floor everything's disordered no price tags and I would not even have came here if I knew this would happen I give it a 0 stars unfortunately I can't do that so I'm giving it a one but this place is horrible Unlike the picture shows on the 1st reviews it is so unlike that it is not clean not neat the doors do not look like that inside looks horrible everything is nasty there was a mole on some of the towels the pillows were weird everything was just nasty and disgusting and out of place horrible!!!

It's a nice store but if you call and ask about something they will put you on hold and won't come back to the phone so when you hang up and call back you don't get to talk with anyone all you get is the busy tone. Very disappointing when I do more business with this location more than anywhere else.
