I’ve been filling prescriptions at Publix for years, but this location was a huge disappointment.
They wouldn’t fill my prescription and failed to notify me beforehand. While the staff member at the register was at least helpful and tried to offer solutions, the pharmacist was blunt, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. I understand if a prescription can’t be filled due to certain factors, but there’s no excuse for a lack of compassion or effort to assist. If you’re in medicine, you should care about patients—not just policies.

Approx ten year history here. Not my principal pharmacy. Trying to avoid it.Why does this place give me equipoise?Note that my concern is not clinical in nature but on a customer service level. No doubt they fully and properly follow rules and procedures. That is good. All pharmacies adhere to best practices. We're not questioning that.First, they do not make any reasonable allowance for someone waiting for a script to prioritize the patient present in the store over other work that might not inconvenience anyone else if they squeezed you in to get you out. That's not of any interest to them, including me as wheelchair bound, there alone, obviously having a hard time, upon waiting 30 minutes and still told another hour or more. That one recent example. They set the bar for me to deal with difficulty in getting through ordinary tasks higher than was needed. Please note that I do not need to be taught a lesson such as to plan in advance or better plan for my needs. The hubris of that altitude is insensitive. It typically comes from young people who feel well themselves but fail to realize your many challenges. There's no mystery to it. One emerging idea is that a new norm is increased public insensitivity toward the wellbeing of unknown others. That could be solved by getting to know the customer. In the above provided example, five workers were swamped with work probably much of which they didn't approach with flexibility. Don't think for a second you matter to them because you really don't matter. Just ask them. You're merely in line and that's that. They'll get to you when they do. Forget the fact that you are in person, sick, and it's 90 degrees outside. Come back later. It's sociopathic because they know darn well it's probably very hard on you as a person with mobility difficulty and poor cardiac output. They just don't care. In their defense one can understand compassion fatigue. Why bother dispensing any kindness toward others?Second, there's an undesirable undercurrent along the lines of a slightly irritated and abrupt quality they generally express. No one is rude or mean. No one says anything you can offer as an example of indifference. However, the user experience they project is indifference and unfriendliness, and snobbery. That means their behavioral and cognitive assembledge of their own perceived needs, practices, and interests prioritize over concern for you.As a customer one gets the impression that you're merely an irritation to them to perform their job duties, rather than the top reason for it. The patient relationship deficit here is systemic not my unique observation. Also, it's them, not me. What that means is they're in a rush and you're seemingly in their way. It's not needed to say here but I'll note in marginalia that I am a person with a lot of common sense concerning getting things done and team work. So I enjoy to watch others at work. The idea here is to learn how people best perform tasks. If you do go here, reasonably expect your script the next day. Always treat the employees well at all times, especially if they behave as robots. It's unreasonable to expect young clerks to have clinical training and experience.I don't just like the culture here. Rest assured there exists a better way. I can imagine my death without waiting in line for it.I do not want anyone here sanctioned, reprimanded, nor dressed down. Better to learn something. Be like a pretzel and get a new twist.

Publix never ceases to amaze me. Once a week I am in Forrest Ridge store and/or Dunnellon. The employees are so kind, helpful, dressed well and they smile. I want to remember names who reaches out to help me, but I will just say they are equivalently customer service oriented. I do not mind spending a little extra to be treated so wonderful. Thank you Publix for hiring and training your employees in such a way they exemplify a trait that's being forgotten... Courtney, professionalism, willing to help with a spring in their step and a smile on their face. I'm talking about every single department... Thank you.

Horrible pharmacy my refill date was yesterday so called in for my refill the day of and they said they will have it ready in 20 minutes. Waited till the next day to pick it up and they lady said it wont be ready till 2 days after my refill date. Asked why that was and she acted like I was trying to get my medication early and told me she cant do nothing for me. Don’t have faith in getting your prescriptions on time either theres been a couple of times where I had to wait when they told me it was ready. After this last experience I won’t ever go again

Horrible pharmacy, I had a death in the family (my brother) and had permission from my doctor to fill it early as my brother's affairs are all in Michigan. First they told me that the doctor didn't authorize it to be filled early which was lie number 1, then they told me that my insurance wouldn't pay to fill it early, which was lie number 2 as I verified it with my insurance company, so then I took my the proof in to show that my brother did in fact die and they showed the compassion of a wet noodle. As a long time ex Publix employee this is not what I'd expect from Publix people. Needless to say I transferred all my prescriptions to another pharmacy

Second time I get a Philly that’s raw or half cooked. The blood from the rare roast beef is leached into the bread. Unacceptable!

I don't understand how you do not have a pain killer ordered from the hospital, do not let the patient know, just give them the muscle relaxer and when questioned they wouldn't get any in until Monday. How do you let someone SUFFER for 3 days? I am completely disgusted. I had major back surgery and cannot get my meds until Monday.

Just finished shopping at Publix in Hernando, FL Shelves are pretty empty for a weekend. Frozen desserts=slim pickings. I purchased the last of the Italian hot sausages. Someone left their chilled drink in the freezer in the frozen dessert section. It looked like no one was stocking the shelves. You closing?!!
